Rhoda’s pov ?
Statham’s Villa… 7:45am…
“Bye grandma!” Bill waved mom goodbye.
“Bye, my handsome grandbaby!” Mom said, she leaned down and kssed his forehead.
I grabbed my bag and Bill’s lunchbox from the table, I reached for his hands and kssed mom goodbye.
“We should go now, I have an early shift this morning!”
Instead of mom to reply me, she’s scanning my outfit with a mischievous smile.
“I can see someone made an extra effort today… ” she paused and looked at my face. “… Are you trying to impress someone?”
My cheeks warm up and I know I must be blushing right now….I don’t know why but my mind raced to Raymond when she asked if I’m trying to impress someone.
“Yo! She’s blushing!” She said.
I bite my inner cheek to stop myself from laughing or blushing more.
“Mom, what are you talking about?” I put some hair strands behind my ear. “I always dressed like this to work!”
She shake her head.
“No, you’re glowing today, you know if you’re seeing someone you can tell me….”
“Mom, we should get going!” I face Bill. “Bill let’s go or you’ll be late!”
“Eh.. eh…I’m telling you something, you can…”
“Bye, mom!” I said and rushed towards the door… I grabbed the door handle and opened it, then rushed out.
I let out a sigh and head towards the gate, I decided to go by a cab today… Driving everyday is kinda tiring.
“Rhoda!” I heard a familiar voice called me immediately I stepped out of the gate.
Lifting my head, I saw Raymond smiling dashingly at me.. he look smart in his white t-shirt.
“Mom, it’s Denzel’s doctor!” Bill said pointing at him.
Hurt flashes through his eyes when Bill referred to him as Denzel’s doctor.. but he quickly replaced it with a smile.
“Hi, Bill”
“Good morning, uncle doctor!” Bill greets him.
Raymond and I laughed at that comment, Bill looked at us in confusion.
Raymond squats to Bill’s level, he held Bill’s hands in his and pass him a smile.
“I’m not uncle doctor, you can call me….”
Wait, what’s he trying to do?! Is he trying to tell Bill to call him dad?! Just like that?!
“… call me uncle Raymond!” He said.
Phew!
“Say it!”
“Uncle Raymond!”
Raymond smiled, he caressed Bill’s right cheek.
“Good boy!” He said and got up.
I turned towards the window of our living room, I saw the curtains move…that must be mom spying on me.
“Are you sending Bill to school?” Raymond asked.
“Yes, but what are you doing here? Do you have a death wish? What if Nicklaus sees you?”
Ok.. we all know Nicklaus won’t see him, since he hardly ever comes home.
“I just wanted to drop Bill off at school and also drive you to work!”
I turned from him and starts working towards the road.
“Thanks but no thanks, I can get a cab!” I said.
He rushed in front of us and block our way, he snatched Bill’s bag from me.
“Let me be your cab driver, you don’t have to pay me!”
“Raymond, don’t you think you’re being too forward…we need time to adjust!”
“I’m not rushing you, you can take your time.. I just wanna familiarize myself with Bill”
I looked down at Bill, he’s not even paying attention to us.. he’s just staring at his wrist watch as if he knows what time it is.
“Raymond…. ”
He cuts me off by carrying Bill in his arms, he smiled at me.
“Let’s go!”
I wouldn’t have gone with him if Bill wasn’t running late, but for the sake of Bill I reluctantly agreed.
“Let’s go!” I said.
He smiled brightly. “Thank you!”

Authoress’ pov ?
Nicklaus’s mansion…
Nicklaus stepped out of the bathroom, with his towel perfectly wrapped around his waist..
He rushed to his phone that has been ringing, since he was still in the bathroom… Marcus’s name flashes on the screen.
“Marcus!” He answered the call.
“Good morning, Nicky, my girl saw a flash drive and I checked it out…I heard the plan of a very interesting game… I have sent it to you, quickly check it out!”
“Hmm!” Nicklaus hummed and hangs up.
Just then his phone beeped, he opens the voice message and listened to it play.
He frowns as he heard the conversation, then a smirk appears on his lips…soon, he starts grinning.
“Good, very good!” He said after listening to it.
He quickly dialed Marcus’s number, as if Marcus was expecting him to call back.. he picked on the first ring.
“Hey, Nicky, what do you think?”
“It’s a very interesting game, I always love these kinds of games.. it’s gonna be so much fun!”
Marcus chuckles lightly.
“I know and I’ll be so honored to enjoy the game!” He said.
At that moment, the door open and Anastasia walked in.. she’s already dressed for work.
“I have to go, my girl is here!” Nicklaus said and hangs up.

Anastasia’s pov ?
Klaus ends his call when he sees me walking towards him, he’s still on his towel.
“Klaus, we’re gonna be late for work!” I whined.
I picked his clothes laying on our bed and shove them in his arms.
“Get ready or we’ll be late!”
He dropped them on my dressing table, he held the edge of his towel and slides it down… he stands stark naked in front of me.
My hands quickly cover my eyes and I turned away from him.
“What are you doing, Klaus?” I growled.
“I’m getting ready!” He replied simply.
I turned back to him but left my eyes tightly shut.
“Yeah, I know, but can’t you get yourself ready in the closet?!”
He chuckled.
“Are you shy seeing me?” He scoffed. “You shouldn’t be shy, we’ve had sx and already seen each other’s nkedness.. you shouldn’t be shy around me”
“That’s different! Pe.rvert!”
I said and stormed out of the room, I heard him laughing behind me.. but I decided to ignore him.
I’m calling him a pervert, but he’s not in anywhere a pervert.. he’s the most decent man I’ve seen.
Getting to the living room, I sat on a sofa and sent Matilda a quick text.. telling her to pay the landlord for that apartment.
“I’m ready!” I heard Klaus say.
He’s walking down the stairs in his business suit, it made him look so…ugh! I don’t know what he look like.
“Darling, let’s go!” He said, now standing in front of me.
I nod and got up, he wrapped his arm around my waist and lead me towards the front door.
“I’m still insisting you don’t go to work today, you should be resting at home!”
I rolled my eyeballs for the one hundredth and seventh time this morning!
Since we woke up, Klaus has been nagging me not to go to work… He said I should rest at home because I need it.
I had tried explaining to him that I’m perfectly fine, but he wouldn’t listen.. he kept insisting I need a lot of rest this period.
“Klaus, I’m not gonna say this again.. I’m fine and I can’t skip work today!”
“You can skip, your husband is your boss… I won’t scold you if you don’t come to work for two years.. I’ll still pay you!”
I grabbed his ear and twist it very hard, he groaned in pain.
“I have skipped work for two days, I’m not gonna make today the third day.. do you understand that?”
He nods quickly, unable to speak because of the pain he’s going through.
“Darling, you want to murder your husband?” He asked.
I scoffed.
“That’s because my husband is being stubborn!”
He grumbles coherently, we stepped out and Graham rushed towards us.. he takes Klaus’ briefcase.
“Good morning, Mr Statham.. miss Lopez!” He greets us.
“Good morning, Graham!” I answered him.. Klaus simply nod curtly in response.
We walked towards Klaus’ car, Graham opened the backseat door for us and we slide in.. Graham got into the driver’s seat and drives off.

“Mr Statham, there’s problem!” Claudia said the moment we stepped out of the car.
It’s like she’s been standing outside, waiting for us.. judging from her expression this is a very serious problem..
because she didn’t even acknowledge me with her usual glare.. she looked so panicked.
“What happened?” Klaus asked.
She lifts her phone and showed Klaus something, Klaus frowns deeply as he stared at the phone…anger takes over his face.
I wanted to take a look but Klaus quickly moved it away from me.. he hands the phone back to Claudia and balled his fist.
“The investors and some shareholders are already waiting for you in the conference room…”
Now she finally acknowledge my presence, she passed me a glare.
“… they’re demanding for explanation and they seem very angry!” She said.
“Go calm them down, tell them I’ll be with them in a minute!”
“Yes, Mr Statham!” She said, passed me a secret smirk and rushed in.
Klaus turned to me, his hands on my shoulders.
“Wait for me in my office, I’ll be back soon!” He said.
I simply nod, he leans down and kissed my forehead…he smiled and rushed in too.
I know whatever that’s going on is related to me… I just hope all is well.
“Miss Lopez, please!” Graham said gesturing me to go in… I nod and walked into the building.

Authoress’ pov ?
“You don’t have a wife or a heir, it’s high time you settled down and assure us that Statham enterprise is in safe hands!” Mr Liam (a shareholder) said.
“I have a fiancee and we’ll be getting married soon!” Nicklaus replied.
Mr Liam scoffed loudly, he narrowed his eyes at Nicklaus.
“A fiancee?! The one that was rapped?!” He asked.
Some of the shareholders nod in support of Mr Liam’s words, Nicklaus just remained calm as they grumbles among themselves.
“The heir of Statham enterprise can’t be born by a $lvt…”
Nicklaus banged on the table making the room fall into silence, everyone’s attention falls on silence.
“This shouldn’t be an excuse to insult MY woman!”
“Mr Statham, we’re not insulting her, we are just trying to make you understand our suggestion…”
“And what is your suggestion?” Nicklaus asked.
Mr Liam gulped, his gaze move towards Claudia.
“Marry Benjamin’s daughter and get her share… or leave the CEO for someone else whose share is higher than yours!”
