CHAPTER ELEVEN
I couldn’t stop thinking about my mom as the driver drives me to God knows where. I can’t wait to see those happy smiles on her lips again, gosh…..i just can’t explain how much have missed her!.
I heard the driver clearing his throat and voiced out calmly. “You’re very lucky ma’am.”
“Huh? Me?.” I replied.
Well..I wasn’t expecting the driver to talk to me cause he kind of look mean just like that guy that kidnapped me.
“Yes ma’am.” He says, i could see his small smile in the rear view mirror
“How?.” I ask staring at him.
“For you to be married with Mr Scott. There are so many girls out there that are dying to get this position of yours.” He explained.
“Oh…” I mouthed since I have nothing to say.
“You must be very happy, right?.” He questioned.
“Yeah.” I breathe out faking a bright smile.
Well…..I feel the opposite of happiness and point of correction, am not a lucky person. I was never lucky for anything. Am just a cur$e!.

At long last, the driver whom i got to know he bears the name Jack, stopped the car at a mansion.
The sight of it is just so magnificent!.
I can’t believe am gonna say this to myself but I…feel relieved we are here, maybe because i was getting sick of listening to Jack’s talks about i being the most lucky woman on earth and blah blah blah.
Jack drove into the compound and got out, he helped me in opening the car door for me as i also stepped out.

I put on a smile at all the guests invited as i walk towards Ryan and Jacob who were talking to each other with glasses of wine in their hands.
“Bro.” They greet in unison as we did a manly handshake.
“Nice party.” Ryan nudges my shoulder as I scoffed quietly.
“Where is she by the way?.” Jacob asks.
“She should be on her way by now, I sent Jack to pick her up.”
“Okay. Am happy this plan is going smoothly, you just need to ensure the girl does her job perfectly.”
“I agree.” Says Ryan.
“Am sure she will.” I smirked devilishly, recalling how scared she looked when I held her hostage.
“Well, have fun with her tonight.” Ryan winks as he chuckled.
“Nah! ‘ll prefer Jessica, she’s good when it comes to that.” I said.
Jacob clears his throat and voiced out. “The pastor has arrived.”
“Oh yeah, it’s time.” I say and walked to where the pastor stayed.
Am so glad this is paying off..

A wedding march is being played on an organ. I kept breathing in and out nervously, i just don’t feel too good, I still couldn’t believe I am doing this..
As i walked slowly to the song, people who are seated turned their heads at my direction as I became more and more nervous but I hid it by smiling as if today was the happiest moment in my miserable life.
“Whoa….”
“She is so beautiful!.”
“What a gorgeous woman!.”
“Wow!.”
Everyone whispered amongst themselves as i finally got to him. He’s standing beside the pastor, looking deadly handsome and putting on a sweet smile on his lips as if he is a good person.
We both stood opposite each other as the pastor began to speak. I didn’t even hear all what the pastor was saying cause I was busy thinking about my life.
“Is anyone here who doesn’t want these two to be joined as one?.” The pastor asks bringing me out of my deep thoughts.
“Please somebody should stand up so I won’t have to do this!.” I prayed within me but no one stood up, everyone remained seated.
“Very well then.” Says the pastor as he proceeds facing Scott.
“In the name of God, do you Mr Scott take miss Riley Martins to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by de.ath.”
I looked at him. Praying silently he blurts out a ‘no’.
“Yes, I do.” He replies boldly as everyone cheered happily and clapped.
“In the name of God, do you Miss Riley take Mr Scott Liam Wilson to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by de.ath.”
He bears the name Liam?. Well, such name doesn’t suit a monster like him. He stares at me with a smirk, the kind that creeps me out.
“Yes….I do.” I forced myself to speak audibly. I was smiling at him and everyone but inside of me, it feels like my body system has stopped working.
“You may now kss the bride.” He tells as my heart raced.
He moved close to me and cupped my cheeks in his hands, he leans his face over to mine and slowly, he kssed me.
His breathe smells like chocolate and for a stupid sec, I felt a little calm.
“Awnnnnnnn!.” Everyone exclaimed.
“With the power vested in me, i pronounce you as husband and wife.” The pastor says making everybody show a demonstration of approval by clapping their hands together.
I sighed silently…..gosh!.

“Is anyone here who doesn’t want these two to be joined as one?.” The pastor asks as he looked around waiting patiently.
I wanted to stand up but a pair of strong arm held mine, stopping me from taking such action. I glimpsed down at the hand and glared at him, Jacob.
“What are you trying to do?.” He whispers through gritted teeth.
“What does it looks like to you?.” I fired at him angrily.
“This was your idea, wasn’t it?.”
“Yeah it was. But thanks to you, it isn’t how I wanted it to turn out.
“You’re blaming me now?.” He frowns.
“Fk yeah.”
“Anyways, this isn’t the time for argument. Right now, you need to behave so we’ll figure out a better plan later. There’s always a way out, okay?.”
“Sure whatever.” I rolled my eyes.
“You may now kss the bride.”
I looked away cause i was seriously boiling up with so much anger. I can’t bear it whenever he is with another lady. He’s mine, i just want him to be mine!.
“With the power vested in me, i pronounce you as husband and wife.”

After the marriage vow and the kss stuff, a ro.mantic song was played so I and Scott could dance. He held me by my wrist as he dragged me gently to the dance floor.
He wrapped his arms round my waist while I placed mine round his neck, we danced slowly to the music as everyone watched us in happiness.
He leans his head close to my ear. His breathe made me shiver as he voiced out coldly.
“And what’s with that face of yours?. You’re my wife now, do your job perfectly or you won’t like what am gonna do to you Mrs Scott.”
He looked at my face and smiled as everyone goes ‘awwwnnnn’.
I was praying we end the dance, my feet was beginning to hurt due to the heels I wore.
And at long last, we left each other when a beautiful woman walked to us. I watched as Scott hugs the woman with a happy look.
“Scott, my son.” The woman exclaimed with a joyfully smile.
Oh….she’s his mom.
“You look so beautiful dear.” She touched my cheeks.
“Thank you mom.” I say lowering my head in respect.
“Where are your parents dear?. I noticed their absence, is everything okay?.” She asked me calmly.
“Uhm..”
“Her parents are no more mom.” Scott interferes as he looked at me. He said it with no emotions at all.
I gulped inaudibly feeling so hurt as i recalled the death of mom and dad.
“Oh am sorry honey, i shouldn’t have asked such a question, am really sorry.” She says with a gasp.
“Uhm, it’s fine ma’am.” I forced a smile.
“Please call me mom.” She touched my cheek again.
“Alright mom.”
She faced Scott and taps him. “Son, please give us some time alone, I want to know more about my lovely daughter in law.” She smiled.
“Okay mom.” He replies, glimpsed at me in a very creepy way and walked past us.
“So dear, tell me things I don’t know about you.” She says in a friendly manner.
“I was the only child of my late parent.” I say hoping she won’t ask me more questions.
“Wow, it must feel so bad they ain’t here to witness the happiest moment of your life.”
“Yes.” I voice out low.
She leans forward and did the unexpected, she hugs me. “Don’t worry dear, am here for you.” She pats my back.
It makes me think of Aunt Clarissa, she always hugs me and say those comforting words whenever am down.
Gosh….today is her surgery. I wonder how she is doing!. I miss her so much.
“Thanks mom.” I smiled, blinking in tears.
She pulls away from me with a bright smile on her lips.
How on earth did a nice and lovely woman get to give birth to someone as cruel as Scott???!.
“How did you meet my son?. I mean, he never told me he was dating someone….it is just so surprising!.” She says.
“Uhm….we met months ago, he is a very nice person and am very happy we are married now.” I lied.
“Awwn, I am beyond happy my son met a very beautiful and generous woman like you.”
“Thanks mom.”
“No, thank you for stealing my son’s heart.” She tells.
I didn’t steal his heart ma’am, i was left no choice to do this.
Scott walked back to us, he smiled at his mother as he states. “Mom, please let me have my wife now.”
“Alright, I’ll excuse you both now.” She giggles.
Immediately she left, he faced me. “What did you two talk about?.” He asks low.
“She asked how we met.” I shuddered.
“What did you tell her?.” He ask through gritted teeth.
“Calm down, i didn’t tell her the truth. I lied to her, okay!.”
“Good.”
He held my wrist as his grip on it tightened. “Remember one thing Riley, you’re now my wife. Any single mistake, you will be seriously punished for it!.”
“You’re hurting me…” I mumbled.
He let go of my hand and smirked devilishly seeing the red marks he caused on my wrist.
He pecks my cheek and walked away to meet some guests.
