“I think I will go with just Ariel , sounds more better ,Mrs Damien said cleaning her tears .
“Okay ma’am ,it’s your choice , Ariel replied .
She was glad that she wasn’t rapped and maybe now in good hands ,she wasn’t sure if she was going back to the streets ,but maybe they might have pity on her and keep her in where she presently was .
She had no idea where she was but she was rest assured that it was safe from Stephen and his gang of bullies .
“Ma’am ,where exactly am I , Ariel finally summoned courage to ask .
“Oh dear ,you are in the hospital ,you were found unconscious with a group of boys trying to rape you ,but not to worry they are being held captive by the police and you are in safe hands ,Mrs Damien replied.
“Oh thank you ma’am , Ariel said smiling happily .
“Oh stop calling me ma’am ,my name is Mrs Claire Damien ,but you can call me Mrs Damien ,she replied .
“Mrs Damien ,like the mother of the city ,the beauty goddess , Ariel asked .
“Yes it’s me ,how did you know about me ?
She asked clearly surprised.
“Everyone talks about you , everything you do for the city, most especially the children.
They talk about how beautiful you look, sometimes they try to give some description, but everything always turns out pitch black. But in my heart, I could tell what they always said were true ,that’s why I made you my role model ,Ariel explained.
“Wow , that’s so great I am happy to be your role model , and don’t you worry you will never go to that street again ,that’s a promise from me to you Ariel ,Mrs Damien said .
“Thank you so much ma’am ,Mrs Damien chuckled as Ariel said that .
“No Ariel ,it’s ‘MOM’ from now on ,she said .
“Mom ,thank you so much , can I get a hug from you , Ariel asked .
“Of course my dear ,Mrs Damien replied and pulled Ariel into a warm hug ,just then Asher walked in with two bags containing food .
“Ma’am I brought them ,he said gaining attention from the two ladies hugging each other .
“Oh that’s great ,bring it over I would like to feed her myself ,oh and Asher this is Ariel ,my newly found child Mrs Damien stated .
“Oh hi Ariel ,I am Mrs Damien’s driver feel free to ask me anything you need, okay he said smiling .
Ariel smiled happily ,she had never been so happy in her life “thank you sir Asher ,she replied facing a different direction as always .
Asher wore a confused look he had no idea why she was staring at a different direction ,he looked at Mrs Damien for answers and she whispered to him lowly “she is blind “.
Asher mouth formed an ‘o’ shape ,that explains everything .
Mrs Damien collected the food from Asher and quickly opened it up ,she could tell from the look Ariel was giving ,that she was hungry ,she immediately started to feed her ,but it felt like Ariel wasn’t really comfortable with it ,so she decided to ask why .
“Ariel , don’t you want me to feed you ,am I being too fast ,she asked concerned .
“No Ma’am , sorry I mean Mom , it’s just that I would really like to eat the food myself, Ariel replied nervously .
“Oh dear , you don’t have to be shy to ask ,here you go now you can eat as you want and don’t forget there is so much more ,she stated happily .
“Thank you Mom , Ariel exclaimed as she picked up the spoon and began to so fast ,that Mrs Damien had began to get scared she might choke on her food .
But she didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable , so she just smiled heartily at her newly found daughter which she was surely going to adopt .
She was glad she had saved yet another live , and she wasn’t going to ever relent.
