“We should get going ” dad cut her off to prevent further argument
“Yea dad we should get going” I replied
“Whatever” mum replied
We entered the car and zoom off. The drive was fun and short. We went to the amusement park first, then the beach. After which we went shopping.
We bought clothes, shoes and bags for me and momma. We also got some biscuits, chocolatete, candies, ice cream , chips and other things. We bought porncorn for our movie, before I forget we also bought Lissa’s chocolate cake before heading to the counter to pay.
We kept what we bought in the car and went back home. When we got home, I went upstairs to take my bath and change into something simple. I was about coming down when I heard some voices
“Get down on your knees” I heard a strange voice. I peeped through the door and saw some men in black with a mask.
“Is there any other person in this house ”
“No ” dad replied
“Scorpion, go check all the rooms” I heard and dad gasped
I quickly lock my door out of fear and ran into my closet, I remembered there is a hidden door there, so I opened it with the password and entered inside.
“Save my dad and mum, please God save them, I can’t lose them now please” I prayed
I heard movement and I tried to keep calm as possible. After some minutes, everywhere was silent and I decide to come outside.
“Maybe they are gone,” I thought and peeped through the door.
I saw dad struggling with them
“Ohh dad please stop, please” I yelled in my mind
But dad won’t stop, I wish he heard me, mum was begging them but they wouldn’t listen. And then one of the men points his gun at mum and pulls the trigger. ?
“No!!!!!! Mum no!!!” I cried but I dare not Scream
As if that was not enough, he faced dad also and he, he.. he pulled the trigger?
“Noooooooooooo!!!!!!” I screamed and they looked at my direction. I ran back into the closet with my phone. I decide to call Lissa
“Hello bestie, do you miss me?” she said
“Lissa Lis….. Lissa, mum, mum, Lissa mum and dad. My mum and dad Are dead” I screamed.

It’s been two hours since the incident happened. I was too scared to come out, I was scared they might still be around. I was scared they might hurt me
“Emily, Emily” I heard. That’s Lissa’s voice.
I came out of my hiding place and saw Lissa, I ran to hug her
“Lissa, my mum, my mum, my dad” I cried
“It’s ok bestie, all will be well. I got your back” she said and lead me downstairs. I watched my parent bodies been placed on stretcher and wheeled into the ambulance.
“Woooow, wooow, woooow” I heard as the ambulance left our estate.
Slowly everywhere looked cloudy and I fell to the ground
“Emily! Mum come Emily just collapsed” I heard and that was the last thing I remembered.

I opened my eyes and I closed it back because of the ray of light, I slowly opened my eye to adjust to the light. Everywhere looks white.
“She’s awake, she’s awake”
“Doctor she’s awake”.
The doctor rushed in to check my pulse, temperature and other things
“She will be fine. She just needs little rest. She will be discharged tomorrow”
“Thank you, doctor,” Lissa’s dad said
Lissa held my hand assuring me that all will be well. All I could do was cry. I just lost my world, my joy, my happiness. ?
I was discharged the following day just like the doctor said. A week after, my parent we’re laid to rest. And that was all!. That day I said goodbye to them but I will never forget them. They will forever remain in my heart. ?
After my parent’s burial, I began living with Lissa and her parent. It was easy to call them mum and dad because i have been calling them that even before my parent died.
Lissa was a friend indeed, she was caring, loving, attentive, and compassionate but everything change when she begins to have that strange mysterious dreams, she stops being caring and loving. A new Lissa emerged.
