Chapter 24
Jays pov
As soon as my car came to a stop, I looked at Sky and she was frozen to her sit. I quickly unbuckled my seat belt flunging my door open and hurried to her side. I opened her door gently helping her out of the car and stood her against the door.
“Are you okay, ” I asked her cupping her face. She nodded numbly back at me, visibly shaken.
” I…. I think so … are you?, ” She asked placing her hand on mine still on her cheek.
” Am good, ” I nodded and reassured her although I was sure she could see the real worry reflecting in my eyes.
I took her into my arms and hugged her tightly. Feeling her warm body against mine always made me feel all types of ways.
” I feel much better now, ” she said leaning in deep into my embrace. ” I really thought we were going to die.”
” Not today, ” I said smiling as i pulled away from her .I reached up and softly tweaked her cheeck.
The police were already here and Eddy ,the one supposed to be keeping an eye on sky was walking towards us.
I pressed my forehead against her and took a couple of deep breaths. I was afraid for her life, I know we had a lucky escape this time and I was so glad she was okay and safe with me.
” l’m sorry,” she said looking up at me.
” Why are you sorry? ” I asked surprised.
” It’s my fault you are in this mess. You almost got killed twice because of me.”
” Don’t say that. I already told you I’d give my life for you and those aren’t just words, ” I said hugging her.
” Are you two okay? ” Eddy asked.
” Yes, ” I said as we turned to look at him. “What took you so long? Aren’t you supposed to be protecting sky.”
” Am sorry, I had stopped for gas and I was to follow you as soon as i was done. I think he must have known my where about and that’s why he attacked you. ”
” Was it Jim? ” Sky asked nervously.
” We are not sure yet. He managed to get away from us, but he is obviously our prime suspect. Did you by any chance see anything ?”
” No…we were to busy trying to survive! Why are you taking so long to catch him? This guy is becoming a night mare! ” I said furiously.
“We will get him, don’t worry. You guys should go home. Do you need a ride? ” Eddy asked.
” No thank you. We’ll ride in my car, ” I said helping sky get in the car.
She still looked very worried and scared and that really bothered me. She was mine now and there was no way i was going to let anyone harm her.
Yesterday when she kssed me, I thought that I was in a dream. I never in a million years suspected that she liked me the same way I did her! She gave me exactly what I had been craving for the longest time. If it wasn’t for Celyn pushing me to confess my feelings to sky, she would not have been mine.
” Ethan just sent me a text. He says that he won’t be home in a while. Apparently something happened to Dads car and he went to get him since he wasn’t that far from town. ” Sky said as i parked the car.
” Okay, I’ll stay with you until they get back, ” I say as I get out of the car and open her door helping her out.
” Thanks, ” She said kssing my cheek.
” What was that for.”
” Why? do I need a reason to kiss my boyfriend?” Sky asked with a naughty smile.
” Of course not ,you can kiss me anytime, anywhere, ” I said walking closer to her and kssing her lips softly.
” Excuse me, ” A voice said from behind almost startling us.
A middle aged guy was standing there and as soon as sky saw him she froze.
” Hi sky, ” he said then turned to me.” Hi young man, my name is Jake.
” Hi. ”
” I came to talk to Ethan but found that no one was home so I waited. Can I talk to you about something, ” he said looking at sky.
” No, I don’t want to talk to you, ” sky said lacing her fingers with mine. Her hand was kind of shaky.
” Am really sorry for everything I did to you in the past. I just want you and my Son to forgive me. ”
” She doesn’t want to talk to you, so I’d advice you to leave already,” I said holding her close to me.
” Okay, ” he said and then left.
” Son?! what son is he taking about? ” I asked confussed as soon as he left
” It’s a long story. Can we please get in the house.”
” Okay, ” I said as we walked over to her house but she stopped me.
” Let’s go to your house, please.” She said and I nodded turning and walking to my house.
When we got in, my parents were busy watching TV and celyn was with them.
” Hi guys,” celyn said as soon as she spotted us.
” Hi,” Sky said as we walked over to them
” Hey you, “My mum said. ” When were you planning on telling us that you were dating now? ”
“I was planning on telling you soon mum, anyway well be in my room.”
” Okay, and am so happy for you. You make a very lovely couple, ” she said looking at sky adoringly.
” Thank you, ” Sky said as we walked past them and up the stairs we went.
” So who is Jake?” I asked her as we sat on my bed and she told me the whole story.
” You mean Ethan and Jim are brothers?! That’s messed up!”And Jake has the guts to come over here after what he did to your mum? He sure has a death wish. ”
” I know right? ” Sky said.
” Anyways, Who do you think sent Serena those pictures? Could it be the same person that kept the letter in your locker? I think someone is stalking you.”
” I think so to, and am really scared. With Jim and his father roaming around, who knows what they are planning for me and my family. Am really exhausted of all this, everything is happening way too fast for me. I don’t think I can take anymore,” Sky said resting her head on my shoulder.
” You know am here and I will protect you. You are the strongest person i know. You can’t give up now,” I said kssing her hair and pulling her closer.
” Thanks for been here, you are literally my hero, ” she said looking up at me with a smile.
When my eyes met hers, I got this overwhelming emotion I can’t put into words. I got this Crazy urge to kss the worry that was showing on her face. She had gone through alot today and i wished I could just make everything alright for her.
” I would love to continue what we had started outside before we were interrrupted, May i ? ” I asked ¢aressing her cheek and tracing my thumb on her lower lip.
” You can touch or kss me, whenever you want. No need to ask, ” she said placing a small kss on my hand.
My lips covered hers in a long warm kss that left her short of breath. She responded passionately.
” What are you doing? I asked against her lips, unsure of what she was up to.
” Making out with my boyfriend,” She said as she chewed on her lip.
” If this continues, am sure going to loose control and we don’t want that, Okay ? ”
” Okay, ” She simply said as she rested her head on my chest.
