“Don’t worry , am not planning on doing anything to you. Well at least not today, unless you want me to, ” he said grinning and coming closer.
I jumped on the bed in fear, leaning forward and bringing my legs up to cover my chest as my chin rested on my knees gazing at jim. There was no way i was going to scream and risk someone else’s life. The fact that he said he wasn’t going to hurt me kind of put me at ease, but did he really mean it? We all know he is p$ycho and I can’t trust anything coming out of his mouth!
I decided not to be afraid anymore and gathered enough strength to talk to him. ” Why are you making my life a living hell? You even have the guts to come in my house! ”
” If you only accepted me in the first place, I’d be treating you like a queen right now. All I ever wanted was your love but you gave it to someone else. Why is it so hard to love me huh?” he said sitting on the bed.
” Are you seriously asking me that?! You kidnapped me, tried to rappe and almost killed me yesterday .” I said almost in tears.
” I only did those things because you rejected me and i wanted to teach you a lesson and about the killing part, I wasn’t planning on hurting you that was just for fun. I really enjoyed it,” he said smirking.
” You are a p$ych©path! and soon you’ll join your father in prison.”
I thought mentioning his father in prison would kind of scare him even a little, but he just smiled nodding his head, acting like he could care less.
” Don’t count on that sky. You’d be surprised to know that am the one who actually sent him back to prison. ”
“What are you talking about? He was arrested for defying a restraining order. ”
” Yes true, but I was the one who made that call. The unbelievable thing was that he was trying to protect you from me, can you believe that?! He felt guilty for whatever he did to your mum and that’s why he was following you everywhere and roaming around your house. I was planning this visit sooner, but he stopped me and that’s why I had to get him out of the way.”
” If your Dad is feeling guilty, don’t you think this revenge thing is kind of useless. If he admitted it was his fault then why are you still doing this .”
” Because him feeling guilty doesn’t change anything. My life was ruined and nothing can change that, Okay?! ”
” My life was ruined too! I never got to meet my mother and I almost died, but you don’t see me acting all crazy and trying to hurt other people for my own satisfaction,” I yelled tears streaming down my eyes.
” Hush baby, we don’t want anyone interrupting us, do we now? ” he said as he tried to wipe my tears but I quickly got up, taking the chance to ran to the door trying to get out.
” Don’t even think about it, ” he said through gritted teeth aiming the gun at me.
I froze staring at him like a deer caught in headlights, leaning on the door my hand clinging on the knob . I was breathing fast and hard feeling like my heart was going to jump out of my chest!
” See this is what I don’t like about you. You are always trying to run from me when all I want is to be with you, ” he said walking towards me.” Relax, I promised not to touch you and so I won’t. I won’t have to kidnap you this time, because you are going to come to me yourself .”
” Not even in you wildest dreams Jim! now just leave already .”
” But I don’t want to yet, he said moving back a little and accidentally stepping on something and that makes him drop the gun.
As he bent to retrieve the gun, I took that opportunity and opened the door running like my life depended on it! but wait….my life did depend on it. In seconds I was rushing down the stairs breathless screaming my lungs out.
Ethan and Jay came running meeting me half way down the stairs.
” What’s wrong are you okay? ” Ethan said concern clear on his face.
“Jim….. ,” I said trying to catch my breath. “He is in my room. ”
” What! Am not going to spare him, ” Jay said taking big steps up the stairs, but I grabbed his hand stopping him.
” He has a gun Jay. Please don’t go, i don’t want you to get hurt. ”
” That wont stop us today, am going to kill him,” Ethan said joining Jay as they went up the stairs to my room while celyn and I followed from behind.
When we got there, Jim was nowhere to be found but he had left a note on the bed.
I’ll see you soon, my love.
” How the hell did he get in? ” Ethan said looking in every corner and even under the bed while Jay walked to the window. Celyn was standing beside me her hand on my shoulder.
” Wait…I think i see him, ” Jay said storming out of the room followed by Ethan.
” Be careful! ” I Shouted running after after them.
Before they were even out the door we had gunshots outside , but that didn’t stop Ethan and Jay from walking out the door.
What is wrong with them? Are the trying to die! I thought to myself as i went to open the door but celyn grabbed my hand pulling me back.
” I think we should stay here, it’s crazy out there. ”
” But Jay and Ethan are…….,”
” I know and they’ll be fine. ”
” I don’t know……i really don’t have a good feeling about this, ” I said pacing around the room feeling like I was going to have a heart attack.
” Calm down….am sure they can take care of themselves. ”
Seconds later we heard police sirens. I felt really uneasy and I couldn’t help but go look out the window. I saw Jay talking to Eddy and some other to cops but I couldn’t see Ethan. My heart had started speeding up again, but relaxed when i spotted him walking towards the house.
” Are you okay? Did they get him? Is anyone hurt? ” I asked bombarding him with questions the second he entered the house.
” Am fine,” he said pulling me in a hug.” Am so sorry all this is happening to you, and I can’t do anything to stop it. ”
” It’s not you fault,” I said pulling back. “What was all the shooting about? ”
” Jim was shooting at Eddy as he was getting away, but Eddy managed to shoot him on his right hand. We thought because he was injured it would be easier to find him and we searched all over but it seems like he has a dark angel protecting him. ”
” At least he knows now not to come to your house again,” celyn.
” I doubt that ,Jim is crazy and is willing to get whatever he wants through any means. Can you believe he is the one who sent his father back to prison ?”
” What do you mean? ” Celyn asked.
” Apparently, Jake was keeping an eye on us to protect us from Jim. He felt guilty about his past mistakes and that was his way of making up for it. Jim din’t like that and called the police on him, ”
“Wow! he is really nuts. I can’t believe am related to him ,” Ethan said .
” Wait… what?! Celyn asked.
” It’s a long story. Can you please take sky up to rest.”
” Am not going back to that room, ” I said shaking my head.
” I know that, go to my room okay? You look exhausted, She’s all yours ,” Ethan said pushing me gently to celyn.
” Okay, but what is taking jay so long?”
” I left him reprimanding that Eddy guy and I think he deserves it.”
” Yeah that guy is really sleeping on the job. I mean ,how did Jim get in here without him noticing? anyway let’s go ,” Celyn said taking my hand as i followed from behind.
