“Stop being a coward Ken, like you haven’t caused a loss before, you always support him both in good or bad, she fired with a scoff.
“At least my loss ain’t like yours, he scoffed back. “And look who’s talking like you weren’t badly crushing on boss ever since you joined us.
“That died the moment she saw her salary, one of the staff said and they laughed.
“Since you all are having such a leisure time, no break today, Draco said loudly stepping into the office and everyone swallowed hard rushing back to their seats.
“I want to see the report of each person’s work today, got that Amber?, he added turning his gaze to his secretary.
“Yes sir, she nodded.
Kendrick and Britney exchanged funny glares at each other giving themselves “It’s all your Fault” look.

He walked into his office and went straight for his seat.
“What are the schedules for today?, He asked opening his big laptop.
“The press show at 9, which is just thirty minutes from now.

“Cancel the rest, He said cutting her off as he rubbed his bent forehead.
“Okay sir, Amber nodded closing her book.
“Ask Pearl to get me my coffee, he added.

“Skipped my mind, go get it. It mustn’t exceed the temperature I want or go below it, he added strictly and she nodded leaving.

“Get me those files I didn’t work on yesterday while you at it.
“Yes sir, she responded with a nod then left the office.
Draco sighed out trying to embrace the day’s work, he removed his jacket and hung it on top of his seat.
Stretching out his fingers, he started clicking on his computer.

She sat there on her bed staring outside her window like she was lost at the sun’s view.
Her face was expressionless, not even tears were rolling out.
She only looked like someone who life meant nothing to, and which it doesn’t.
Swiping her phone open cause of it’s distracting sound, she saw Evie’s message.
? Are you okay?, Are you hungry?. Sorry I couldn’t help, the guards won’t let me in, but please promise me you’ll be okay.
Pearl released a smile seeing her text, part of her worries got wiped off.
Seeing the way she cared so much for her, made her feel she wasn’t worth it.

She sent the text and signed out as she returned her gaze back to where it was before.

Draco smiled sadly touching the picture in the locket, it was the only thing left of his mum his dad had given him.
He cherished it more than anything he ever owned, to him his whole world was there, right there in that locket.
“More, he said referring to the maids and more wine was poured into his glass cup.
