If I say I wasn’t nervous then I’m probably lying. I was really nervous because

One: I’m not into any gangster or mafia and I don’t know how to shoot or kill someone

Two: I’m not much of a fighter. I was pampered too much by my mom.

Three: going back to that place brings bad memories of Ariel in my hand dead.

“You’ll be okay , I’ve called the cops to come with us but I think they’ll be late but you have me Eric, I’ll always be at your side till death do us apart” Seth said .

Although it helps a little bit.

“The plan is, your men since they are skilled with gvns and martial Art they’ll go in first making sure everything is alright before we enter.

You go look for Nyx and I’m hundred percent sure she’ll be in the basement”.

Hearing the basement my hands started to shake . I tried to control my breathing but I’m having a panic attack right now.

“You’ll be alright okay” I just nodded my head trying so hard to push those memories away.

“Once you get Nyx, you and her go outside , I’ll be the one to end Ryder myself “.

“I’m not leaving you Seth, you’re coming with me . My men can hold him till the police come and decide what they’ll do to him”

Seth was about to argue but he just agreed because there’s no way I’m leaving him alone.

While Seth was telling my nyen what to do I was trying to focus on my anxiety.

Breath Eric , you can do it.

But I’m having a bad feeling about this, I looked at Seth one more time as he gave me a reassuring smile.

I wonder what I’ll be without him.

He’s always like the big brother I never had.

I walked up to him and gave him a big hug.

“What’s happening, missing me again” I knew he was smirking but I just had the urge to hug him.

After an hour of making sure everything is okay and the plan we decided to leave.

I tried not to seem scared but I’m falling at it.

Two hours of driving we finally reached our destination. The place where Ariel was killed .

This was once where our families including Ryder’s and Seth parents came when we needed peace.

We come to the woods and have a little bit of how nature feels but all that’s left is painful and hurtful memories .

I watched as our men walked inside making sure everything was okay and Ryder was not seen.

Giving the signal, I and Seth rushed in. I started to make my way to the basement with Seth by my side.

Opening the door I searched for Nyx and when my eyes landed in her, I stopped breathing.

There was another figure standing behind her and I didn’t want anyone to tell me who it was . It was Ryder pointing a gvn at her head.

‘Did you really think I’ll not know you were coming today?” he said while my eyes were glued to Nyx.

Her clothes looked tattered, and her body was bruised. Her left eye was purple as if she was being pvnched there..

I looked at Ryder with anger while he had that stupid smirk on his face.

“Just like the way Ariel ended she’ll just end like her, it’s just her death will be a lot easier, how pitiful” he said smirking.

“You bstard ” Seth roared as he was staring dagger at Ryder.

“Why are you doing this?” I found myself asking because all I’ve done was to be nice to Ryder.

His face darkened.

“You think you’re always above everyone, you piss if shit. I’ve always been better than you.” He yelled, making me confused.

“Everywhere we go , it’s always about you . Getting good grades, having wonderful character, getting all the praise while I got nothing except from being your childhood friend.

Even my parents wanted me to be like you, especially my mom, so I just had to kill her”.
