CHAPTER 59

I stood beside Seth’s lifeless body, my heart heavy with grief.

The room was filled with a deafening silence, broken only by the sound of my soft sobs.

I reached out a trembling hand to touch Seth’s cold cheek, hoping against hope that this was all a terrible nightmare.

“Come on, Seth,” I whispered, my voice choking with emotion. “You can’t leave me like this. Wake up, buddy, please.”

I gently shook Seth’s shoulders, as if trying to rouse him from a deep slumber. But no response came.

The reality of the situation crashed down on me like a tidal wave, and I collapsed to my knees, his tears falling freely.

“Remember all the adventures we had together?” I said, my voice breaking. “The laughter, the late-night talks, the dreams we shared. I can’t do this without you, Seth. You were more than just a friend; you were my brother.”

I clutched Seth’s lifeless hand, my fingers entwining with my best friend’s.

Memories flooded my mind – the time we built our secret treehouse, our endless conversations about our future, and the promise we made to be there for each other no matter what.

“You were supposed to be here with me, Seth,” Eric continued, his voice trembling. “We were supposed to take on the world together, face every challenge as a team. Now, I’m all alone, and it’s tearing me apart.”

Eric leaned in closer, his tears falling onto Seth’s still face. He whispered words of love and gratitude, wishing he could have said them while Seth was still alive.

Regret and sorrow gnawed at his heart, knowing he couldn’t change the past.

“I’ll never forget you, Seth,” Eric choked out. “You were the light in my darkest days, the one who always believed in me.

I can’t imagine a life without you, and I don’t want to. But I have to let you go now.”

With great difficulty, Eric stood up, his body feeling heavy and numb.

He placed a final, tender kiss on Seth’s forehead and whispered a tearful goodbye.

As he walked away from his best friend’s lifeless body, Eric couldn’t help but feel an emptiness inside him.

The pain of losing Seth would never truly go away, but he knew he had to find a way to keep going, to honor Seth’s memory, and to cherish the time they had together.

And so, with a heavy heart and tears streaming down his cheeks, Eric took his first steps into a world without his best friend, knowing that he would carry Seth’s spirit with him always.

Present

I thought I’ll be able to do it Seth, I thought I’ll be able to keep going without you but I was so wrong.

It’s been three days and I haven’t moved anywhere.

This is all Ryder’s fault.

I stood up going to where that bstard is.

Reaching the station I didn’t even see the receptionist as I just walked to where the id!ot was.

I grabbed him by the collar as I hit him.

“You fucking killed your own brother” I got to find out that when Seth died.

I didn’t even want to hear how they’ll be brothers and I wasn’t even mad Seth didn’t tell me.

But even if I was, it was all gone.

I continued to hit him until I was pulled away.

“How could you ? Why Seth?”

I watched as Ryder was crying

“I didn’t mean to kill him, I was aiming it at Nyx and I didn’t know Seth would take the bvllet.”

“If there’s just anything I know I’ll never do is to kill my brother. I was just jealous when he’s always with you and not me.

I was always jealous of you Eric , I’m sorry “.

“Sorry won’t bring him back you psychopath. Seth never did anything wrong but treat the both if us equally and you except me to believe you never tried to kick him when you fking killed your own mother.

You deserve more than a life sentence. You deserve to be to.rtured to de.ath after all the crimes you committed you psycho.

I hate you so much Ryder and I can’t wait for the day of your death “.

My father immediately called to take me home after forcing me to stay in the hospital for a day.
