I found myself in the school compound, some of the other students were there already.
Many were severely injured while others looked tired, some frowned their faces like they just came back from war.
I don’t have any friends, am always alone.
This past few weeks have been hietic for me.
I don’t even know how my family are faring.
Uncle Noah must be damn worried about me.
Skylar, Maya, l haven’t seen or heard from them.
The martial arts teacher came out alongside Aries.
What’s Aries doing with the martial arts teacher?
“You all should come to the hall, please help the injured students” the martial arts teacher said.
Aries stood and her eyes roamed the hall like she was searching for someone or something then her gaze landed on me.
She glared hard at me and muttered words to herself.
Why does she hate me so much?
She doesn’t live a day without glaring at me.
“The wtches and warlocks please drop your treasures indicating your names” the teacher said and they did.
“The werewolves please drop your treasures indicating your names” the teacher said and they did.
The vampires did same.
“Clarissa!”the teacher called, l opened my palm at the magic turtle appeared.
“Woooow! Everyone exclaimed and Aries glare on me hardened.
I rolled my eyes at her and she scoffed.
I opened my palms expecting the python pearl to appear but it didn’t.
I tried doing it the second and the third time but it didn’t appear.
I started searching my uniform pocket, searching my body hoping to find it but didn’t.
Where is it? I asked no one in particular forgetting that there were lot of people watching me.
“What are you looking for miss Clarissa? The teacher asked.
“I lost it”l said.
“Lost what miss Clarissa?” The teacher asked and a student rushed in.
“Ma’am, the firmanent master is here”the student said and the teacher nodded.
“You all should settle down, the firmanent master is here, he will be the one inspect the treasures and to pronounce the winner of the treasure hunt” she said.
The firmanent master is here?
My goodness! What should l do?
I can’t let him see me here, Finn said it was his master that kidnapped me earlier and what if he is still looking for me.
I stood from where l was sitting and went to the extreme where l can’t been seen easily.
It’s not like l will emerge the winner, l could have if l didn’t lost the pearl.
“The firmanent master will come in any moment from now, get prepared when he comes and please you all should be of your best behavior, he isn’t someone to be offended,do you understand?.”
“Yes ma’am” we all chorused.
The door creaked open and the firmanent master came in, two of his student came with him.
“Greetings grandmaster” the students greeted as they all stood up,l got up quickly and did same.
“Teacher, master, now it’s grandmaster.”
“You may sit” he said.
“Thank you grandmaster” they said again and l said the same quickly.
I didn’t know there is a tradition for greeting the firmanent master.
A swivel chair was brought in quickly and the firmanent master sat on it.
His students started giving him the treasures he inspects it and give it to the other student who kept it inside a bag.
He kept inspecting it and when he come across a good treasure he calls out the name of the person and tells him or her to step aside.
The martial arts teacher and Aries stood watching the firmanent master.
A junior student came rushing in.
“What’s happening?” The teacher asked.
“This is for senior Aries” she said and gave it to the teacher who passed it to Aries.
“Am sorry for the inconveniences” the martial arts teacher apologized to the firmanent master and he nodded in response.
Aries stomped off immedaitely.
What’s happening? I thought.
The firmanent master took the magic turtle and stared at it in confusion.
What’s with that face, is it bad? Will he call me out? My goodness! What if he calls me out? I kept thinking.
“Who found this?” He asked and all eyes turned to me.
Then it dawned on me, l didn’t indicate my name.
“Who found this?” He asked again.
“Come out miss Clarissa” The martial arts teacher said.
Am doomed.

“Your majesty”l greeted and prostrated before my father.
“Get up son” father said and l got up immediately.
“Why did you stop coming to the palace Lonrenzo your mother and l were worried, did we offend you in anyway?”
“No father, am sorry l was very busy in firmament.”
“I miss you and mother” l said.
“I heard that you don’t go to school regularly, what’s happening son?”
“Can l stop attending Phoenix high school father, l want to attend a school for mortals and learn new things.”
“You dare not, you are the crown prince
Lonrenzo, how many times do l have to remind you? it’s time you start acting like one.”
“But father.”
“No buts Lonrenzo, from now on you will attend classes regularly else am gonna stop you from attending firmanent.”
“Father, Fine okay! I will attend classes regularly from now on, are you happy now? So can l know the exact reason why you called me here?”l asked and the state perspector came in.
“May you live long your majesty” he greeted and bowed slightly.
“You are welcome my dearest friend, have your seat” my father said and l scoffed.
“Lonrenzo greet the prime minister” father said.
I bowed slightly and glared at him without saying a thing.
I thought father was going to say something but am grateful he didn’t.
“I called you here, because of am important matter.
“The principal of Phoenix high school is dead and there are circumstances surrounding her death, which we detected.”
“As my son and the crown and putting this matter in your hands, l want you to find out everything surrounding the death of Miss Chloe.”
“And l want the state perspector to help you in carrying out this assignment.”
“Thank you for your consideration father, l will be honored let the state perspector help me this time” l said and smirked.
I remembered master’s instructions.
“You must bring back the ring with you .”
“That reminds me, will state perspector mind if l lend your ring for a moment?”
“My ring? what do want with my ring crown prince” he asked.
“Have been admiring the ring for a long time and wanting to ask you to lend to me so l can get the exact type.”
“Lonrenzo what are you doing? You are the crown prince and can have any ring you desire,what do you want with the state perspector’s ring, you are becoming too daring son.”
“Father l just ………”
“It’s okay your majesty, the crown prince just want it for a moment, l will give it to him” the state perspector said and l smirked.
“Thank you state perspector” l said quickly before my father could respond.
“He took off the ring and gave it to me.”
“I stared at the ring for a moment and gave it back.”
“Mission accomplished” l thought and smiled in Victory.
