I left the school immediately my father sent for me.
They might have gotten the news already.
Miss Chloe is my step sister.
Though we don’t get along, l didn’t wish her to die so soon.
Am happy because her mother will be greatly grieved but am sad because l kinda like miss Chloe and she have been nice to me on several occasions.
I only hate her mom, who keeps competing with my mother in everything.
She is the reason l and Chloe don’t get along that much.
Chloe is six years older than me, she is the third child of the family.
My father is the minister of finance and married to two wives Chloe’s mother and my mother.
Chloe’s mother is the first wife, which makes her the madam in the house and l think that tittle got into her head cause she behaves abnormally.
Always claiming she has right to everything and she knows it all.
I have two elder brothers, though my mother is the second wife,my brother is the first son of the family, this is the reason my mom and Chloe’s mom turned great enemies.
Chloe’s mom bore daughters first, but when dad married my mother she bore him a son which made my elder brother the first son of the family.
That same year Chloe’s mother gave birth to a son.
That was how we had two boys in the family while the others are all girls.
We are six girls and two boys, making it the total of eight children in the family.
My mother bore three.
I have a baby sister.
I teleported to my compound and like l expected, our house was a mourning ground.
Chloe’s mother was crying terribly that for a moment l felt pity for her.
My father sat pitifully and the council of warlocks and witches were consoling him.
My father is a warlock and my mom is a wtch.

I didn’t want my father to see me yet, he is gonna ask me alot of questions and am not prepared to answer now.
I teleported to my mother’s Chambers and met her celebrating.
Mom! I called in disbelief.
“Aries! You are here” she said happily.
“Mom! For heavensake someone just died why are you so much in a good mood?”
“Didn’t see how she was crying terribly?” Her tears is enough for me to celebrate.
“Mom! Though we aren’t in good terms Chloe has been nice to us, Chloe died not her mother, try to be kind-hearted sometimes” l said.
“Go inside and stop lecturing me Aries.”
“Whatever” l said and scoffed.
What Chloe said came to my mind again.

With what?
What was she trying to say?
His Clarissa connected to her death in anyway?
“What are you thinking about Aries?” Mom asked.
“Nothing mom.”
“I heard you were the one that informed the council of witches that Chloe is dead, did you by any chance know the cause of her death?”
“No mom” l replied simply.
“That was why your father sent for you, he wants to ask if you by chance knew the cause of her death, or if she left a note,or said anything before she died.”
“No mom, she sent for me but in reaching the office, she was dead already” l lied.
“Maybe she wanted to say something”
“Yes maybe, l will go in now and talk to father later”l said.
“Wait Aries.”
“Yes mom.”
“How about Lindon?” Mom asked.
“He is fine mom” l said surprised.
“Mom when did you start showing concern on my relationship with lindon?”
“We will discuss about it later but you must make sure to win him over, make him fall in love with you okay!”
“Okay mom, l would have done that without you asking, that’s my biggest dream for Lindon to fall in love with me.”

“Miss Clarissa” come out the martial arts teacher said and l got up immediately, all eyes on me.
Shit! it’s happening, l felt like disappearing.
I took slow strides towards him and my heart beat increased.
He stared hard at me and looked away.
He stared back at the treasure.
How did you get this?he asked.
“I got it” l answered.
“You got it?step aside” he said and l did.
He inspected the other treasures and turned to the martial arts teacher.
The martial arts teacher rushed to meet him.
He whispered something in her ear and she nodded repeatedly.
“Take the treasures to the firmanent” he told one of his student.
“We have got the best treasure so far and am gonna start calling from the 5th position.
“Miss Delphine”he said and everyone applauded.
“Miss Clara”
“Miss Ariel”
“David”
And lastly the winner of the treasure hunt is …………
“Miss Clarissa.”
