Chapter 19.
Amy heard the sound of the gvn run through her direction, the little space left near her earlobe.
Out of fear, her leg hastily hit on a stick. She slipped off her steps and fell to the ground.
Her whole body rolled continously on the ground until it h!t measly on a tree bark.
She groaned for a time and stayed put without making any move afterwards.
Jim saw her and his heart squeezed immediately.
” Amy!” Jim called, dropping his gvn on the floor and running towards her.
He knelt on the ground and picked her lifeless arm. When he left hold of it, her arm aimlessly fell on it own.
He knew something was wrong somewhere. Was she faking up a de.ath or something?.
” Amy!” He shaked her shoulders abruptly and got puzzled after sighting the bI.ood that was spurting out of her nose and bruised arm.
” Dmn it!. Tsk..this can’t be happening!!” He yelled and checked her body to see if there was any bvllet hole.
But there wasn’t. The gvn didn’t h!t her and the question of her numbness kept hunting him.
” This is all your fault Amy…” he said as he gathered her up in his arms.
” You never listen. You are too stubborn. Why do you have to escape!. You made me loose my temper” He mouthed, staggering up on his feet.
He walked back towards the fire site and placed her on the bare floor before picking his coat to fan her some fresh air.
Kylie stepped forward after noticing the duo.
” What happened to her?” He asked, leaning to down to Jim’s height.
” Ion know. She was trying to escape and i shot the air, she just fell and didn’t move after that.” Jim said .
” You mean you scared her?.” Kylie asked, raising a brow.
” What am i supposed to do. Look at her and watch her escape with joy, of course i had to do something” Jim blurted.
” Well. That’s not the issue. You better find what to do to wake her up before boss comes, or else you are a dead meat .” Kylie told him.
Jim increased his pace in fanning her.
” But I’ve been trying, she isn’t responding.” He said sickly. ” She’s also bI.eeding from her nose as well.”
Kylie grabbed the girl’s chin and raised them up to stare at her face clearly. They were slight traces of bI.ood on her nose entrance.
He took her palm into his large ones and did a slight trick by pressing and digging his thumb on her wrist gently.
Amy finally moved, wincing in pain as her feet danced.
” She’s waking. I think she only fainted.” Kylie told jim.
Jim heaved a tremendous Sigh of relief has his chest fell. He had never been on an hangover like this before.
Even tho he knew Amy would still be klled that day, klling her before the due time had already sent a signal of de.ath to him.
Slowly, she opened her eyes. Her beautiful big eyes that had fleek and straight lashes.
She blinked, staring at the two men who were as well, gazing down at her blankly.
” Are you okay?” Kylie first asked, pinning her shoulders down on the ground.
” Did you have any internal injury?” Jim chipped in.
” Injury?” She asked.
” Y..your nose” Jim pointed.
She instantly palmed her bI.oody face, jolting the two men.
She looked at her bI.oody palm. They waited to stare at her next reaction.
” Oh not again!!” She yelled, tears tricking down her chubby cheeks.

BROADWAY BRIDGE.
It started to rain mercilessly. All the cars on the highway had began to trans off immediately.
Xan stopped his car at the side of the road, stepping out immediately.
He looked around, letting the rain melt his hair on his face. His cloak wetting inside his chest, revealing the figure of his ho t biseps and abs.
There was a bike running from afar, blinking out his yellow screen light at Xan’s face.
He covered his face protectively until the light was all gone.
The bike also stopped opposite his car and vixen’s figure leaned down.
He removed his helmet, revealing his fine red hair that swept to the point of his jawline.
Xan stepped forward to meet him where he casually leaned on to his car.
” Vixen..” He said, stopping in his track to look at him.
Vixen didn’t throw him a glance.
” i didn’t just come all the way under this rain to wait and watch you speak like a turtle. Tell me what you need and your reason for bringing me here.” He told him sternly.
Xan looked at him for a while before sighing. At this point, his voice changed turning really sober.
” I want everything to end today and here, vixen. I swear i can’t take any of your pvnishment anymore. You win okay. You’ve done enough, i beg.” Xan said, palming his wet hand.
Vixen throated a chuckled and finally looked at his brother’s eye.
Xan jolted back at the strange look of his eye. it kept him off guard immediately.
He wanted to say something but vixen cut his words in his throat.
” So i haven’t started yet and my pvnishment had already start to h!t you badly. I can’t believe you are now crawling to beg me when i haven’t started yet.” vixen laughed, throwing his head up and sighing.
Xan inhaled deeply, searching for the right words to use. His voice deep and shallow like a hollowed pit.
” I know you might think I’m foolish for being the one to come back apoligising. But I’m only doing this For our sake. I really want us to go back to the old days.”
” Aha!. Old. Days. Mn. I need to hear more of this from my brother.” Vixen nodded, laughing with sort of mimcry while xan maintained a blank face staring at him.
He sighed again, pocketing his arm while he continued.
” Vixen. Remember we used to be good friends. We were never denied as one closest brothers ever. But looking at our future, we’ve been carrying on a dispute for over twelve years.”
” Well That’s because you broke me, xan. You turned my happiness downward and i can never seize to forget the pain i felt as a young child. No one Will.”
” That’s why am here, vixen. I just want to express how sorry i am to have klled Alicia. it was never intentional!” Xan speeched out.
” Oh of course. I would be forced to hell than believing your last statement. You klled Alicia, what else should i believe”
” Tell me vixen, when was the last time you saw Alicia. It was that last night she kept bI.eeding and struggling on an oxygen. What did the doctor say afterwards?”
” He said she was suffering from a memory loss after badly damaging her brain” vixen coldly replied.
Xan grabbed his shoulder, shooting his cold eyes at him.
” So. Do you think i was the cause of it?. She h!t her head and had a brain dmage. Fine i moIe$ted her, but I was never behind her loss. Look, All that is over, they are gone stories.”
Vixen threw down his hands, glaring daggers at him. His eyes alone could drop xan dead at once.
” No xan. It’s not over yet. I haven’t win yet. This battle line is not just going to end here just like that. This is my vow to alicia, to kll till I’m out of breath, i will keep it truly” He sneered.
” Fine!. Keep your vows. she’s d.ead now, i hope she remembers it in the next life. I know i did my part by bringing you out here to apologise”
Vixen muttered a $illy laugh again, patting his brothers shoulder softly .
” Your apologies are late now bro. You had ten years ago to have made that apology but you didn’t.
I waited for you to be sorry but what?…you didn’t care!. Now i don’t care as well!” He yelled and climbed up on his bike.
Xan stepped forward, hovering his hands over his key buttons to stop him from processing his journey.
” Vixen..why don’t you just kll me here and now before you go on to kll Amy? Huh?”
Vixen lowered his face, making his nose inch on his. His breath making xan close his eyes desperately.
” I want you to see the h©rrific image of her corpse when she dies, then you will feel and realise the story behind my pain.” He said and leaned up to wear his helmet before turning to him.
” If at all you want to see Amy, meet us at the rock top outside the city. The revival will be happening there” He said and striked his bike into an invisible speed.
Xan stayed still, unmoving as a stick branch while he continued to get himself soaked under the rain.
He covered his eyes as tears forced their way out. This was the first time he cried for something that didnt concern his life.
If he was given a last wish in his entire life, it would be for the safety of his Amy.
He never wanted to loose her like the others. He truly loved her. She had made him feel that reason to fall back in love.
FooIish him!. He never told her he loved her when she did. Now he would watch her die without telling her as well.
Right then, being drentched. alone in a deserted road. under the stars. his life looked more like a sad… sad song.
Sean looked out the window and knocked on the glass to grab his attention.
He quickly looked down and moved and flopped into his car immediately.
He sat down and folded his arm.
” From the look of your face, I’m sure he didn’t accept your apology.”
Xan sighed, throwing his gaze at the windows.
” Something tells me that Alicia is still alive somehow.” He said.
” You mean, vixen past girlfriend?. You’ve seen her somewhere?” Sean asked.
” I haven’t seen her in twelve good years. Never seen how she looks like cus she never removes her face mask. Her parent moved out of the city after the sad incident.” He said, sighing.
” Well i guess the probability of her being alive is high. For now, let’s keep fighting the stumbling block ahead of us.”
Xan picked his keys, starting the car.
” I’m not getting the police involved in this. I’m sorting this issue on my own even if I’ll be the loser at the end.” He said and drove his car to rocktop.

AT THE ROCK TOP.
It was almost daybreak when vixen arrived outside the city.
The rain wasn’t falling around this part of the world but the weather was crucially cold.
Vixen’s bike boomed into the camp fire site with a loud gearing noise making the fast asleep candidates jump to their feet.
They quickly stood together with the short Amy in the midst of the two heavily built boss.
The three of them rendering vixen a precise greeting.
“Where’s she?” Vixen asked, throwing his helmet for jim to catch. Jim caught it and turned to Kylie.
Kylie nudged her out from the line and she quickly shuddered back with fear.
Vixen walked up to her and grabbed her chin making her look at him with wide eyes.
” I hope you are ready cus when xan comes, A bI.oody triumph will start.” He grinned.
” I know.” She said, gulping down anything down her throat.
Vixen let go of her and sat on the wood, staring at the fire.
” I’m sorry Amy. It’s your fault this is happening to you.” He said.
She pouted her lips as tears tricked down her eyes painfully.
Her words all got to her throat. She was totally speechless on how to construct a single word.
As she stood there, sobbing and fiddling with her wet hot hands until a car arrived into the pitch as well.
It came running from the bushes, gliding to take a turn. Amy raised her eye to find out it was Xan’s car and her hope got rated.
Xan hastily stepped out. He looked at the scenerio and was glad it hadn’t started without him.
He stared at everyone with a different expression and his last gaze fell on Amy.
” Xan!!” Amy called out, raising her arm halfway to grab his gaze.
Her joy knew no bounds at that time. First of all she thought she was helpless and a goner but soon her problem got washed just at the sight of him.
She wanted to just jump on him and wrap both her arms and legs on his body.
” Stay back!!” Kylie pushed her aback.
She turned to steal a glace at xan, telling him silently that she had been suffering like this for long.
Vixen finally stood up after pretending not to have noticed xan presence.
Hr stepped forward turning to meet xan who had walked closer to the fire site.
He placed his arm on his shoulder.
” Firstly. I need to do a little introduction about what’s going on here before we start. I hope my guest are all ready?. Oh…one is boiling red with anger now. Ha!!” He smirked, staring at xan.
Xan looked away, truly boiling with so much anger and detest.
If he was given a gvn to unleash his entire pain on vixen, he would shoot him continously until ten day breaks.
Vixen continued his unearthed jokes.
” Here. I’m having our last contestants for the kller show….” he pointed to Amy.
” And the the kller himself.” He proudly nodded, referring to himself.
” And this revenge- for some who don’t know-is to pay back what xan did to my girlfriend…”
” No more talking. More action now.” He said and swiped out his gvn from his pocket, staring at them with plentiful of joy.
” It heavily loaded. One of the poisonous” He said and started to head towards Amy.
Amy tried to run back to nowhere but the men held her still, stop her from actions
She struggled with them. Tears forced it way out. She turned to look at xan.
” Xan!. I beg!” She cried,
Xan mooted his lip into his lips and stepped forward, stopping vixen.
” Wait!” He told him, making vixen halt.
” What?. You have something to add to my introduction i just said?” He asked.
” Vixen. Please…I’m harmless. I’m not with gvn or knlves and i won’t plan to revenge you back. Just let Amy be….”
Vixen turned to look at Amy.
” Should i listen to him?” He asked, giving her a mimcry chuckle.
She nodded quickly.
” Aiy!. Too f.ool” he smirked.
He turned to throw the gvn to jim.
” For this once, i will listen to xan and not be the one to kll her. But I know jim won’t waste a second on her. Jim, do your thing”
Jim nodded and stretched the gvn to Amy’s direction.
Amy squeezed her shoulders, hiding her face griefly. She felt a cold chest encircle her tightly.
She tried to move but he held her still, pressing her head on her chest.
” Don’t worry. I’m here for you. Vixen and the men would hurt the two of us, That’s okay. But i will forever be guilty of our de.ath.” He said.
” I love you so much xan.” She said, wetting his chest with hot tears.
Xan sighed, inhaling deeply.
” I love…Amy.” he whispered. He fell his shoulders. He actually made those words. How relieved he felt.
Jim hands struggled and wobbled. He was finding it difficult to move his fingers on the trlgger.
He couldn’t do it. It was just too a painful view for him to stare at.
He dropped his arm, throwing the gvn to kylie lazily.
” I’m sorry but…i can’t. Kylie. Just finish them yourself.” He said throwing it to him.
Kylie took the gvn, looking all bold and ready to kll them in one shot of an eye. He knew xan deserved it afterall after klling his boss own love.
He was sure if vixen was there to protect her like this, Alicia wouldn’t have died.
He squinted his eyes, aimimg for their heads at once.
Amy shifted in his arm.
” Why is it taking too long. Why can’t they just….”
” Shh..” xan whispered. ” Just Play along.” He told her.
Jim turned to look at kylie as he struggled to maintain one arm on the gvn. He would keep on exchanging hands to his own suit.
” Just shoot.” Jim told him. He stretched it out and did nothing. He sighed.
Vixen got absolutely fed up. He collected the guns from him and decided to do it himself
” Dmn!. Just pull the fking trlgger on her and let them be.” Vixen angrily yelled pulling the gvn up to their direction..
Vixen hands fell the moment he noticed something behind Amy’s neck.
He was shocked at first but he decided to walk forward and see the view for himself.
Shocked to his bones, he muttered the name that rushed into his mind immediately.
