“Someone please help me”i kept on yelling while holding my mom until two male guards ran into the room
“Please help me take my mom to the hospital”i said crying
They immediately carried her and martha on seeing us asked them to take us in a car
Soon we got to the hospital and they took her in on a stretcher
I stood in the waiting room praying ,i just hope nothing happens to mom
I went to the nurse desk and dialled Alex number but it wasnt going,i wonder why he is not picking,now more than ever i need him with me but he is nowhere to be found
“Alex pick up”i said sadly but it still wasnt going
“Melanie”on hearing rex voice i turned and found him there
He was smiling before but on seeing my sad face he quickly walked close to me
” whats wrong?”he said
“Its my mom,my mom is sick”i said crying
He pulled me to him hugging me
“Who is the daughter of the patient that was just taken in”the doctor said
“Its me”i said getting out of rex hold
“Am afraid to say that your mother is very sick,she needs a large sum of money so she can be operated on”he said
“Like how much?”i said
“A million”he said and i burst into tears again
Where on earth would i get a million,i thought sadly
“Its best you start searching for the money cause the more time you waste the shorter she lives”the doctor said and walked off
“Where would i get such money”i said sadly
“I would have love to help but i hardly have up to a million,but i can give you the little i have with me”rex said
“No rex,i wont accept your money,i will find the money on my own”i said walking off
?KING POV?
“So are they at the hospital”i said starring at the number one gossip and ally of mine
“Yes they are,i personally asked the guards to use the car”martha said
“Thats good then,so according to plan the doctor would have told that maid that she needs to bring the money necessary for her mother to live”i said and martha nodded
“My guts tell me that she will come to me”i said
“Thats the plan afterall,for her to come to you and she will yourmajesty”martha said
“Is alex asleep”i said
“Yes your Majesty ,i made sure he drank the juice,and am sure that the sleeping drugs is already having an effect on him”she said
“You really are efficient martha”i said
“You trained me well your majesty and i have this deep hatred for melanie and her mom,i just hope that everything works”she said
“It will Martha,it will”i said feeling so very sure

I got back to the palace in a taxi,it was getting darker already and all the place have been to had negative feedback
Rex had wanted to accompany me but i had refused
The only person i wanted there with me was alex,i only want alex but i dont know where he went to or what he is doing
I got into the mansion and was about to go upstairs but i was stopped by martha
“And where do you think you are going “she said
“I need to see alex”i said
“Alex,i cant believe this,you dare call him alex?”
“I just have to talk to him please,let me go”i said
“Of course not,his highness is taking his nap and you wont be allowed to disturb him
“Please i just need to see him”she said
“No go back”she yelled at me and i while i was going the king called for me
I hadnt even thought of the king,he wouldnt be so cruel as to let a human die
I went with the guards to his study and there he was standing by the window
“You called for me your majesty “i said
“Yes i did,i heard about your mom,is she okay now?”he said
“No,i need money for her operation”i said
“Oh really ?have you found it yet”he said
“I havent”
“Do you Still need it”he said starring at me
“Very much your majesty”i said
“Then its simple,i will give you the money you need and you leave alex”he said
“But youve agreed….”
“And when did i do that?didnt i tell you not to fall for my son,he cant be with someone like you,you will forever be a maid and he would be a prince,you just have to stay away from him amd i would help your mom”he said
I didnt know what to choose,is it to save my mom or to fight for alex love
“Time is going melanie”he said starring at me
Closing my eyes and clenching my hands,i nodded
“Youve choosen wisely my dear”he said patting my shoulders
“Would you like to say goodbye to alex for the last time”he said
“Why are you letting me see him “i said suspecting him
“Just to say your goodbye,trust me i mean no harm”he said smiling
A while later,i went to alex room feeling so very sad,i had chosen my mom over our love,i hope he can forgive me someday….
I got to his room and knocked on the door but there was no answer
So i went in and what i saw shocked me a lot……
