“You needed to see the way he clung onto me Layla, he…he held my waist all through the night and I could feel my heart trying to burst out of my chest, it felt so…”
Annalise paused when she found out Layla wasn’t listening to her
“Layla?” She called but no response
“Layla ?” She called again but still no response
“LAYLA!!” She screamed and Layla jolted back to reality
“What?, Why are you screaming my name like that?” Layla asked tapping her ears like she was deaf
“Were you even listening to me?” Annalise asked
Layla was quiet at first but she nodded
“Well…. Yes off-course”
“Okay then what was the last thing I said?” Annalise asked folding her arms
“Uhh….” Layla trailed and shook her head
Annalise huffed angrily, oh how she hated not being listened to
“I’m sorry, I’m just pretty distracted”
“Why?, What is it?” Annalise asked worried
“Is it okay if I say this?” Layla asked and Annalise grew more worried
“What’s wrong Layla?”
“I…. I think I like Kai”
Annalise gasped dramatically covering her mouth in shock
“Oh my God!!”.

Zane sat on the couch staring across the room at the butler, he had a knowing smirk on his face
“Aren’t you going to work sir?” The butler asked when he felt uncomfortable with the silence
“I know the stunt you pulled on Lisa” Zane said
“I have no idea what you’re talking about sir” the butler said facing somewhere else
“Why did you tell her I hated ho..rror movies?” Zane asked
“You could’ve told her it was a lie instead of playing along” the butler replied and Zane scoffed
“I was trying to save your lying ass and I didn’t want her to feel bad”
“I didn’t know you were considerate sir” the butler said with a smile “I think you willingly played along so you could get close to Miss Ford”
Zane sucked in his breath calmly and leaned back on the couch
“Smith, are you perhaps tired of this job?”
“No sir”
“Then do your job and mind it”
“Yes sir” the butler said and bowed before leaving
But Zane thought about what the butler said, why exactly did he okay along with her when obviously he wasn’t scared of horror movies at all
“Well, I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, that’s all” Zane said trying to accept what he just said but it wasn’t sinking in
His mind went back to last night, the feel of her waist in his hands were good and he smiled unknowingly, she also smelt nice.
