“What am I supposed to reply now?” Annalise asked and Layla shrugged
“You know what?, I just promised I’m gonna focus on you and I’m gonna do just that, what are we gonna do about Kai?”
“I don’t know”
“He seems like a tough nut to crack huh?”
“He is a tough nut to crack”
“But he’s the easiest”
“How’d you know?” Layla asked
“I just know it, he just doesn’t let his guard down” Annalise shrugged and Layla smiled pushing Annalise gently
“My friend’s so grown up that she’s giving me an advise now”
“Don’t blame me, brain my brain” Annalise said proudly
They payed for their drink and walked outside waiting for a taxi, immediately Layla’s phone rang, she creased her brows when she saw it was a strange number
“Who is it?” Annalise asked
“I don’t know” Layla replied showing the strange number to Annalise
She answered the call, putting it on loud speaker
“Hello” Layla said
“Is this Miss Layla Lincoln?” A female voice asked from the other side
“Yes, is there a problem?” Layla asked and the lady laughed shortly
Annalise and Layla looked at themselves
“Well we just called to tell you you’ve been hired to ΓΓΊi Coffee”
Layla and Annalise eyes widened
“O… ΓΓΊi Coffee??” Layla stuttered
“Yes, congratulations” the lady said
“Thank you.. but I haven’t…” Layla wanted to asked but Annalise dragged the phone from her
“Thank you so much Miss, we really appreciate” Annalise said and the Lady hung up the call
Annalise and Layla screamed loudly on the road attracting attentions of passers
“Sht!, Dayum Anna that place pays almost a thousand bucks” Layla said
“Really?”
“Yes but I can’t remember applying there and isn’t that place close to Zane’s company?”
“It is?”
“Yes, gawd I’m almost rich!!” Layla screamed
“I’m happy for you bestie” Annalise said and they screamed again
Meanwhile across the road, Kai turned to leave after seeing them scream, it seemed she likes his surprise…

Annalise sighted a familiar silhouette, it was Kai, he had to be him
“What are you looking at?” Layla asked following Annalise sight but she immediately dragged Layla back Kai
“What were you looking at?” Layla asked again but Annalise flagged down a taxi
“Nothing serious, get in let’s go and celebrate” Annalise replied but Layla turned to her with a blank expression
“I’m broke Anna”
“Then let’s go to my house and celebrate” Annalise said again
“Sounds like a plan” Layla said excitedly but stopped Annalise who was about to enter the car
“Which of your house?”
“The one I’m currently living in” Annalise replied
“Oohh so you finally accepted Zane as your hubby” Layla said wiggling her brows at Annalise whose cheeks stained with blush, she hit Layla playfully
“Don’t make me blush”
“There is nothing to blush about, married couples in love are so weird”Layla muttered getting into the car.
