“What are you doing now?” Kai asked again
“Working” Zane replied
“Without the files you had asked for?”
“It’s none of your business” Zane snapped “and don’t you have something you have to do in your office?”
“You could just tell me to leave” Kai said and stood up
“You should tell her you love her and stop smiling creepily at yourself in the office” Kai said again
“Now that I think of it you’re even more annoying than Gary” Zane said glaring at him
“Here’s the files, I took them from Cindy” Kai said dropping the files on Zane’s desk “pretentious goat” he mumbled and left, Zane had an urge to smack his head..

“Where did you and Kai go when you left I and Zane?” Annalise asked Layla, they had left the company and were on their way to Layla’s apartment
“Well, his office” Layla replied
“Let’s go over there and get something” Annalise said pointing at a little coffee shop that was across the road, Layla agreed and they walked over
They went over to the counter to order something and Layla unknowingly bvtt dialed Kai
Kai sighed when he saw the caller ID, it was annoying brat, yup he had saved her as that, reluctantly he answered the call
“What do you want….” He stopped when he heard Layla talking to someone else, Annalise maybe
“Daddy took me credit card and my car” Layla sighed
“Why?” Annalise asked
“I refused to marry a bald headed guy he had brought for me so he said if I won’t marry him then he’ll seize all of my stuffs”
“So he did?” Annalise asked looking annoyed, they took their drink and found a seat close to the window
“Hmm” Layla nodded “and now I’m officially broke”
“You’re dad can be a butt head most times” Annalise tched
“He’s a total dk head, I felt so bad that day that I got wasted” Layla chuckled “I even had to call Kai to come take me home”
“You did?, Did he come?” Annalise asked and Layla nodded
“He even footed the bills, maybe he’s not so bad afterall”
“Hmm, his cold face just masks it all”
Kai’s brows furrowed when he heard this
“At some point and some time I just wished I had accepted daddy’s proposal, I can’t remain broke forever”
“Then look for a job”
“Where?, I had just one chance and that cold Kai took it away from me, I just feel like crushing his balls” Layla gritted her teeth and Kai immediately hung up the call
His hands traveling to his groin, he covered it with his hands. He suddenly felt bad for having her fired when she did nothing wrong then
“I’m sorry I didn’t notice you were in such a dilemma” Annalise pouted
“It’s okay, you weren’t good yourself” Layla smiled
“I promise, I’ll pay more attention to you from now on” Annalise said, immediately her phone chimed, it was a message from Zane, she smiled
“Well I guess that’ll be impossible” Layla said sipping on her coffee
*You had better keep your mouth shut* the text read
“He texted me for just that?” Annalise glared
“Who?”
“Zane, look” Annalise said shoving the phone to Layla’s face
“Wow, you two are sooo immature” Layla shook her head after she read the text
“Says someone who can’t even confess to the guy she likes”
“Well that’s because his face alone just discourages you” Layla said in her defense.
