A LETTER TO YOU
CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
Story by: Okegbemi Ebenezer
“You are welcome” She greeted me with smile on her face as she opened her arms as if she wants to hug me.
“What am I doing here” I queried.
“there is no hiding place for you, you thought you are free from our grip, it is not possible, it is either you return to us what belong to us or you will always wallow in troubles till the end of your life” She said to me as she closed her arms.
“But what is your property that is with me” I asked them with a stern look.
‘You know what we are not here to fight with you, you asked to know the root of your problem and here we are” she said to me with a smile on her face.
“You felt we are not monitoring you from here, we are following all your moves and when we noticed that you are about to break forth, we decided to plant obstacles on your way and there is no way you can come out of this because of a soul tie covenant with us” She said to me and stares as if I was going to run.
“What is the covenant all about” I asked them because I could not remember holding any of their property or forming covenant with them.
A LETTER TO YOU: Chapter 21 – The End
I was at the middle of the gathering staring at the scary faces looking at me as if they wanted to devour me raw.
“In your fathers lineage, no one has ever become successful and prosper. Every female child is dedicated to the god and covenant are binding on them which makes them attached to the gods. This means you are married to the gods” she said to me.
“What!! married to a god, when, how, who did that. Since, I was born, I have never step my feet on the village soil because our father does not take us home.” I explained to them just to make their point invalid.
They all laugh and made jest of my words.
“You are been childish, so you think because you didn’t visit the village or have things doing there, you are free from the covenant” she said to me.
“Yes” I replied.
“Have you forgotten that it is the blood that flows in your father that runs through your vein” She questioned me.
“What does that have to do with me” I asked her as my answer.
“Since you share his blood, you are not free from the curse of the land neither are you free from the yoke attached to the bondage” She added to her words.
“What!!” I screamed.
“Your father understood all these but he thought he could avert the consequences that follows the breaking of the covenant but look at how he ended up his life” She said to me.
“My father did not die as a result of that” I replied her.
“We in the dark world only capitalize on weakness of those around to fire our arrow and when we strike it must hit the target” she said to me.
“ But we are in God and all our yokes are already taken away” I said to her in defence.
“Oh, were you not in God when we struck your family through your negligence and lifestyle” She added.
“ You are a wife to the gods and no one can marry you” She explained further.
“A wife of the god” I asked.
“No man can marry you except he wants to die. Men will continue to hate you and you will never find favor in their eyes” she said to me.
“Die!!,, why would they die” I asked in shock.
“The spirit husband will be jealous and he will strike him to death. Even if he is not dead, you will not be able to have a child of yours. If you are able to overcome all these, then you will not enjoy the marriage” She laughed as she explained.
“But grand mother, why am I the one chosen to be married to the god” I asked her.
“Hmm, it is like that in your fathers lineage. All the female child are married immediately they are given birth to” She replied.
“If you have taken closer look at your family history, you will notice that most of their female child are either divorce, barren or not enjoying their marriage.” She said to enlightened me.
I then begin to realise why baba kekere was always a thorn in the flesh my late mother. He never loved her for a day. That means, he was not happy seeing my family together. His two daughters are living with him after he had married them off. They came back with their luggage on their head one afternoon and decided to remain in his house (What Yoruba would call “dalemosu”). It was then I started to understand the whole things. It means they were also married to the god.
“I hope you now understand why you will not have head way in life and continue to wallow in troubles.” My grandmother said to me.
“Ehn but I am already in Christ, why must I face this again, after all I am free from every yoke. He has made my yoke and burden lighter” I said to her.
“You are childish, that you are a Christian doesn’t mean you are free. When have you addressed the situation. You are only praying on immediate things while your foundation is rotten.” She added.
“Have you not been noticing a stranger coming to you in the dream to have s3x with you” She further asked me as she was staring at me.
“Yes, I do see the stranger sometimes but I thought it should be wet dreams that teenager do have or after I have thought about something before sleeping” I replied her.
“You are childish, I should not be telling you all this because am not allowed but because your guidance angel has instructed me to talk as a result of your prayer that is why am telling you all these” She said to me with a wicked look.
“But mama, the strange man always find his way into me no matter how I resisted” I said to her.
“Let me tell you, the more the spirit husband comes to you and have his way, you will never marry and that is what is manifesting in your relationship with the man you love. If care is not taken, he will kill Martins your lover” She said to me.
“Sometimes, strange event happens on wedding day or before wedding but do you bother to ask why it happened. A lady running mad on the day of her wedding, or the groom a victim of accident, do you think the spirit husband would not strike” She said laughing harder.
“Mama, what can I do” I asked her.
“I know nothing, I have told you all you need to hear, it now depends on you” She replied as I woke up from my sleep with terrible fear and panting. I checked the time it was 2am.
“Spirit husband” I asked myself with fear all over me.
To be continued……..
Do you believe that Spirit husband and wife exist?”
Now, I think Alisa is already getting to know the source of all her problem…how will she overcome it.
Find out in the next episode.
