CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 1 – 20
SEASON 2 EPISODE 13
Mr. Folawe kept tossing around on the bed in discomfort until he awoke from his terrible dream
Rachel wasn’t on bed, so was oblivious of what was going on.
“Oh thank God.” He whispered to himself on finding his wife on the floor, mumbling her prayers.
He stared at her for a while, honestly wishing things could just get back to normal.
Ever since George’s secret of ruining her life was leaked, things never remained the same between the duo.
They spoke a few words to each other and no matter how George tried to lengthen the conversation, Rachel always had her way of killing it.
“I’m so sorry I ruined our beautiful marriage, my love. I’d make it up to you as soon as things get right, I promise.” He whispered, having a mixed feeling of love and remorse.
The thought of sharing his dream with her came at that moment too, but he waved it off with the reasoning that she wasn’t gonna listen.
Meanwhile,
“Lord, I’m finally read to start all over.” Rachel said, mumbling her prayers.
“I’ve been thinking about this and hesitating alot because I honestly feel it’s too late for me; but I have chosen put my fear and doubt behind me and trust you completely.
Please Lord, give me beauty for my ashes, restore all I’ve lost as a result of my mistakes and help me live a purposeful life again.
As for my husband hmmm…..please help me forgive him. Restore the sweetness in my marriage and guide me in this marital journey Evey step of the way.”
Vivian got up from her sleep in the middle of the night.
She checked the time and found out it was her usual prayer time…..but not anymore.
She looked around to find Delight soundly asleep
She picked her school book and was about reading when she heard a voice within her.
“It’s been a while you prayed or observed your quiet time.” The voice said but she ignored, until it got to a point she couldn’t.
“You’re operating below God’s expectations for your spiritual life Vivian.
You’re letting the cares of academic choke you and it’s telling on your relationship with God.”
“But everything around me is so overwhelming that prayer seems not to be the solution.
I mean if it was, why didn’t my prayers avert it in the first place?
My family is facing a challenge health-wise, and I’m the only one available to take care of them, because my dad is too busy providing for the family so everything is left to me.
This alone is drastically affecting my academics because I hardly concentrate in class these days.”
“And you never thought of taking this to Jesus? You never thought of updating you on what has been going on in your life?”
“It’s of no use because if Jesus really cared for me and considered the way I devoted my time to Him in form of prayers and worship, He wouldn’t let all these come my way.
It’s really draining my family financially.” Vivian cut in.
“Have you bothered to ask yourself the real intention of the enemy for your family.
Have you bothered to consider that the original plan was not just to drain your family’s pocket, but also put tears in your eyes?
When the devil fires migraine at you and God in His infinite mercy reduces it to a slight headache, you never bother to be appreciative; yet you never knew the original plans of the enemy for you.” The voice said as Vivian kept quiet and thought for a while.
“Vivian by now all these things you’re complaining of should be a workover.
There are other bigger things coming your way that needs to your prayers to avert or claim them where necessary.
These things were allowed to come your way as the days of adversity to test your strength but you’ve obviously failed.
You need to rise up as a soldier you are and do the needful.” The voice said and spoke no further.
After a bit thinking on these words, Vivian at up on her bed with the intention of praying but drifted back to sleep after fifteen minutes.
Kingsley realized how ungrateful he has been for sometime now.
He has been experiencing breakthroughs and divine provision, yet hadn’t made out time to appreciate God for the goodies in his life.
He has just been too focused on what he wanted dearly at the moment- marriage, because to him, that should be the next thing as he was of age too.
“Lord, I’m sorry for constantly mentioning my needs to you and not being grateful for the ones you’ve provided for me already.” He said and immediately began thanking God for making him financially independent over the months.
His salary had been increased where he worked with Daniel as the business had began taking a new turn and flourishing.
With this development, he has been able to not just relocate to a better apartment, but furnish it as well.
He was beginning to think of getting a car of his own, but doesn’t feel it’s right to do so yet as that wasn’t his topmost priority.
Just last month, he was able to send a reasonable amount of money home and also little to his aunt who stood by him in his trying times, though he wished he could send more.
These blessings he has received made him over joyous and grateful.
“Lord, I’m grateful to you for making my life worth living. Thank you for not giving up on me even when I gave up on myself.
I’m very grateful for being kind enough to guide me every step of the way.
I’m grateful Lord, I’m grateful.” K said with a heart of gratitude, worshipping deeply.
For the next one hour, he did nothing but praise and thank God for thus far He had led him.
Frank sat up in the middle of the night with his jotter where he had some scriptural verses written down.
He read the verses out loud as a confession, the way he watched the kids do as directed by their mom.
“Lord, I really don’t know how to say this, but since prayer is a communication, I’d love to pray from my heart without strict guide.” Frank said as he shoved his jotter aside filled with prayer points.
“Lord, my life is in shambles. I’ve gone from grace to grass.
From a somebody, I’ve become a nobody.
Everyone has has deserted me, I’m a forgotten soul.
Please Lord, please…..help me.
Just…..” He said and got speechless.
“I’m a walking dead Lord, but I believe there’s something you can do about my case.
Lord Mrs. Desmond said those who come to you, you would in no wise cast out.
I’ve come to you now, Lord.
I’m sorry for my sins and that if my father.
I’m sorry for the hatred I harboured towards I’ll Kingsley.
I’m sorry for using a glory that wasn’t mine…..I’m sorry for everything I’ve committed and the one I’ve not.
Please Lord, you just have to help me. Please Lord, please.”
