Jimi drove the car to a halt the silence was ki.lling him, since they left the restaurant Diana hasn’t said a word…
Yeah he gets that she is reserved and doesn’t talk much but now is really one of those times she’s suppose to be yelling at him ..or was these silent treatment her own way of suppressing her anger.
No this is worse than yelling. If Diana is bottling it up she’s definitely going to make it a bigger issue when she’s ready
He parked the car at the safest place he could think of, far away from Esther of course but he couldn’t deal with the fact this was the crazy experience of their first date
And as it is they are still on probation, thinking about how long it took him to get her to actually come for this first date only for this psycho to ruin it. Jimi felt extremely frustrated
“Diana, I am so sorry, I had no idea that she was going to be here. She’s just a pain in the a$s an excuse of an Ex.. I made peace with the fact that she is sick in the head I mean she’s totally ¢razy, she won’t leave me alone, she’s a stalker and an annoying bch. If I knew she was going to be here tonight, I would never have brought you there. I wouldn’t have ruined a perfect night for us. I swear”
She stayed quiet just fold her hands and remained mute
“Babe pls don’t gimme the silence treatment, I know you are very upset and you have every right to be so pls just vent and let it all out. Let’s hatch it out”
She sighed and looked at him
“Jimi ….how long do you want to keep apologizing”
“I don’t know, as long as it takes. You don’t know how much you mean to me Diana. I hate to see us go through this rift over some mentally unstable person”
“And I told you it’s OK, it was really not a big deal”
“Yeah it was, she said some really shitty things about you, things that you obviously do not tolerate”
“And I did put her in her place right there and there. I handled it so I don’t see the point of going over it again and again. You are making such a big deal out of nothing”
“Diana this is a big deal, I understand you don’t want to talk about it probably because it will make you even more angry but I just want to know that am really truly sorry for putting you through that. It will not happen again”
“It’s okay Jimi.. It’s not your fault”
“Of course it is, I messed up I shouldn’t have been involved with that kind of girl in the first place, am so stupid”
‘yes you are …. She muttered under her breath but she really don’t even know how to react to this kind of things
Maybe because she has told herself from the onset that dating Jimi is only going to put in the spotlight to get humiliated every now and then so she has been open to all kinds of display
So if he is expecting her to start acting crazy she’s not even going to pretend to be dramatic. One showdown is enough for the day
She just wants to retire from being Jimi Benson’s girlfriend for the day and have a good night rest
“I said it’s cool Jimi.. Am not judging you”
“But you should be, why are you taking this so lightly, you are scaring me Diana”
“How would you rather I react, scream yell cry, call you names, throw tantrums and feel stupid”
He almost nodded but really he didn’t want her to be so cool about it, he wanted her to talk about how disappointed she was so he can know what exactly is on her mind and they can hatch this out
“I dunno, but it’s just one of those things Jimi. I know you’ve been with a lot of women, ¢razy bches.. Yeah ”
she chuckles
“Am in this with you whether I like it or not, I have to deal with it at least try to. I can’t keep complaining and lamenting over every hurdle we come across, am not happy about it but at the moment it wasn’t something that could have been avoided.”
“Exactly, She is my past , I rarely even remember that she exist but whenever she pops up like that she always causes havoc. And I just want you to know that I am never going to let anyone disrespect you like that ever again. I promise”
“It’s OK, ” she pat his arm and he was still wearing a confused look.
“C’mon we are not going to let this ruin our blissful night, just forget about it”
He wishes it was that simple, Diana really hates to complicate things so maybe he should just leave it that way
“Do you know how amazing you are, do you have any idea how sweet you are. You are a rare kind Diana, I have never met any woman like you ”
He held her hand and he kssed her palm lightly.
” and I promise you that this would never happen again. I will make sure of it.”
“I hear you Jimi I really do. It’s alright, so can we go now”
“Yeah we are good to go.. Yes one more thing”
“What is that”
“Please when am I due for another date, I would like to remake the first one”
This guy really has no chill. He wants to hop unto the next one, is this how he manipulate and mess with the mind of his so called girlfriends or victims.
Girls must really be so naive and stupid to let themselves be played like this’
Diana wonders shaking her head slightly.
But this is a game she chooses to play just like them. Naive and stupid
“That depends”
“On what.”
“How you will continue to be a good boy”
“I will do my best MA”
“Well then how about tomorrow”
She suggested
“Tomorrow, are you sure. I mean ain’t you suppose to be at Marty’s place”
“I am but I think I can get another night out and am sure she’ll understand”
“That’ll be great .. I’m getting addicted to you already, I don’t want to share you with anyone else”
She smiled as he started driving again

The room was dark but Anita could still tell that Marcel was still here. It was his favorite place in the house and he spends most of his time there whenever he visits.
After dinner with her and her Mom, he had excuse himself to be in the study alone. And he has been in here for quite a while, Anita had watched the maid bring in a bottle of vodka, and now she just had to make sure he was OK
“Marcy, Hey bro…you good”
“Annie are you still awake”
“Obviously. What are you doing in here alone. It’s late ”
she stare at the glass of wine on the desk
“Relaxing, meditating. ..whatever you want to call it”
“This is so not meditating ”she sat next to him
“Aren’t you going home tonight'”
“I don’t know, I think I’ll just chill here for awhile”
“Oh you can’t go anywhere now, you know you are not an heavy drinker and you are already half way down the bottle.. You can’t drive in this situation”
“It doesn’t matter, there are over 6 bedrooms in this house, it won’t be the first time I crash in one”
“The house is always open to you Marcy besides it’s yours too… So how about you tell me why you are in such a mood”
“Do I need a reason”
“Oh please, we both know there’s a reason for this”
“It’s nothing serious”
“Am all hears…. Perhaps it had something to do with a certain Diana from the office”
“Don’t start please”
“Well I can’t just stop now, am here for you but you won’t even talk to me …I know you like her, your visit to the office have increased since she started working with us and I see the way you look at her then you brought her to dinner the other night. Something is really up with you too. I know it”
“Nope, there’s nothing between us at this point”
“Why..”
“She’s taken”
“Ohh, I thought she was single”
“Yeah she was until last week or thereabout”
“Did you miss your slot or you were just late coz you know you like to take your time”
She joked and he scoffs
“Look I understand that you feel jilted but sht like this happen. Just move on to the next one”
“it just sucks that yet again Jimi Benson snatches what I want away from me”
“Not that dude again” Anita roared
“How…. is that even possible”
“Apparently they are neighbors”
“Wow, I really thought she would do better than that, she comes off with a striking personality”
Marcel nodded in agreement
“And it so unfortunate it’s not the first time you are losing something. And a certain Jimi will be making a fool out of you.. You know I don’t really get why that imbecile won’t just back off already…..
I mean with Franca we get she was dumb and had the whole I’m indecisive features written all over her but then Diana…
I mean for God’s sake, why is she kidding herself, I always thought she was smart and filled with motivation and ambition but it turned out she was just as stupid as the rest of them.
I mean she of all people need not to be told that Jimi Benson is just passing time with her, he has not even settle for a proper lady not to talk of a lower than middle class single mother.
She’s totally shameless, in a few months she’ll be having her own taste of rejection and become a second time leftover”
“Anita !”Marcel called out angrily
” what the h’ll is wrong with you, why are you saying all those awful things about her ….you don’t like her, I get it but you don’t have any right to judge her like that.
And she’s none of those things you just described, she’s smart, beautiful and strong..and from the way you sound it almost as if you are jealous of her”
“What me!.. Jealous ,don’t be ridiculous how can I be jealous of anything jimi Benson fancies…No way! no am not jealous”
“Just spare me that rubbish, you are not jealous but you continually judge her for everything that she does ,as if you are perfect”
“Am not perfect and definitely not jealous of Diana. What does she have that I can ever want, how you bring me down so low to that extent”
“Can you just drop it already, at least we know where she stands, you can’t bring yourself to love anyone, don’t you know loving is part of living. How can you live a cold and isolated life and still judge others.
Jimi Benson may have been your angry past but did he also smash your heart in the process. You have no human feelings what so ever. It’s alarming at this rate”
“Enough! I made a mistake for interfering with your life but that doesn’t give you any right to condemn mine, what has your love life given so far nothing but pain you can’t even recognize yourself everytime you’re constantly hurting”
“You are a lady Anita act like one”
“Don’t Tell me what to do.
I’m not going down this road with you. You are too drunk to figure out what you want ”she storm out of the study

After taking a shower, Jimi received a call from bj
“Hey man”
“My guy How far”
“Am good, where the hell are you”
“Am at home”
“Home, what are you doing at home”
“What else. Resting”
“You shouldn’t be resting at home Jimi. Come out and have some fun.
Besides didn’t you see my text asking you to be at the club today that we are having an open night, you promise to be here”
“Oh is it today… Fk I had no idea.”
“Well get your a$s here”
“Sorry dude I can’t tonight I just got back”
“From where”
“I went out with Diana”
“Diana, like going out on a date? Are you guys together now?”
“Yeah something like that”
“Yeah whatever, I know you had it soft for that babe, well bring her here it about time we are introduced to each other.”
“She’s not here and she can’t come”
“Really. Well that shouldn’t stop you right.. even better no girlfriend no drama
Hurry up I’ll be expecting you”
“You don’t understand I can’t make it tonight, am sorry”
“But you know I would be needing you tonight, the crowd is going to be crazy and I need all the help that I can get”
“Sorry bj am really not up for it tonight”
“Is this a joke”
“No bro I mean am too tired….”
