Chapter 60 (A new begining)

ASHA’S RESIDENCE*

Two days later~

The sounds of laughter and giggles filled the room as Josh played with his daughter. They both fell down as they couldn’t control their laughter.

“Daddy you can’t even play hide and seek properly and it’s shameful.” Tara said and Josh pinched her cheek.

“You talk too much for your age. Besides, it’s not shameful, I was just clueless of where to hide.” Josh retorted.

“Alright daddy, if you say so but let’s play another game.” She smiled and Josh narrowed his eyes at her as he found that smile mischievous.

“What kind of game?”

Tara stood up and walked round her father, after a few seconds she stopped and stood in front of him.

“You will have to give me a piggyback ride for ten minutes and I will also give you a piggyback ride too.” She explained and he laughed.

Asha who was in the kitchen stared at them and shook her head sideways, though she is enjoying every bit of it.

After a few minutes, a knock was heard on the door and it disrupted the game going on between father and daughter.

Asha quickly walked to the door and opened it.

“Mrs Morris? What are you doing here?Wait! How did you find me?” Asha asked with a frown.

Mrs Morris looked at her husband who was behind with a sad expression on her face.

“I am also here Asha,” Prudent came into view.

“What are you all doing here?” She asked and her mom opened her mouth to say something but she cut her off.

“If you are here to bring us back together as a family, I am sorry to say but I don’t want to be part of it, so please leave.” Asha said calmly.

Mrs Morris knelt down and glued her hands together.

“Asha I am sorry, I didn’t mean everything I did, I was a fool back then and I did so many unholy things. I am sorry, please forgive me, forgive your mother.”

Asha scoffed “Mother?, Did you just say mother? The last time I checked I didn’t have a mom, so what happened now?” Asha asked.

She was finding it hard to hold the tears that were already in her eyes. She never thought a day that her mother would ask for forgiveness would come.

When she saw her mom, she wanted to hug her so tight and never let her go but it wasn’t so easy, the pains her mother caused her left a deep scar in her heart.

“You all should just leave…. please.” She said before closing the door to their face.

Asha ran to her room and Josh followed. He entered the room and saw her sitting on the bed.

“I will be fine, don’t worry about me.” She uttered as he sat close to her.

“Asha, they are your family and you need to forgive them. I understand your…”

She cut him off.

“You don’t understand anything!Stop meddling and mind your business! You are also one of them. They all left when I needed them the most and the same goes to you!” She yelled, breathing heavily.

“Asha listen to me.”

“No, I don’t want to listen to anybody right now. You all are betrayals and you all don’t deserve my forgiveness. You know what? You should go home, your sight irritates me!” She hollered and began to cry.

Josh moved closer and hugged her, while she cried on his chest. He understood and felt the pain she was going through. The pain of your loved one shutting you out, he understood it all.

“I miss them so much but I just can’t bring myself to forgive them.” She hiccuped as she looked into his eyes.

Josh said nothing as he stared at her too, he held her face and placed his lips on hers. He kssed her and she reciprocated it.

After a few minutes he broke the kss and helped her to stand.

“Let’s go.” he said and they walked out of the room together.

They got to the sitting room and she opened the door and to her surprise her family were still standing in front of her.

“Am sorry Asha, please forgive me.” her mother begged and she hugged her.

“I missed you all.” Asha sobbed and her mother wiped her tears.

“Don’t cry, I love you.” Her mother said and she nodded her head.

Prudent rushed to Asha and hugged her tightly.

“Oh, how I’ve missed this.” Prudent breathed out and they all laughed before hugging themselves again.

“Thanks for today and am really sorry for throwing insults at you.” Asha said as she played with her fingers.

Josh moved close to her and encircled his hands around her waist. He leaned closer to her face and tucked her hair behind her ears.

“Apologies not accepted sweetheart.” He said.

“But why?”

“Because I am a bit mad and I need you to make me feel better.” He said as he stared at her plump lips.

“What should I do to make you feel better?” She asked innocently and he tapped on his lips.

“Kss me.”

She leaned forward and placed her lips on his. The kss was a slow and tender one and when she was about to pull away he held the back of her head and deepened the kss.

Asha broke it and Josh smiled. “What is it? Tara isn’t home, you know she left with your mom.” He said and she bit her lips.

“I totally forgot.” She said and placed her lips on his again. They both started at a slow pace and gradually increased.

His hand found its way to her zipper and he unzipped her gown, causing it to fall on the floor then he unhooks her bra and slides it down.
