Georgia almost lost her grip on the phone and immediately her phone started ringing

Dylan?

Dylan was really calling her?

Was it to end things properly since he was getting engaged to another woman now?

Georgia’s heart clenched and she became nervous and hurt

In her thinking, the call dropped and immediately came in again

This time, with shaky fingers, she picked up the call

For minutes the both sides were silent

Georgia held her breath till his husky voice rang out

“Georgia?

His voice sounded tired, it was as if he used all his energy in calling the name

“Georgia? are you there?
he asked again when she kept mum

“Yes, what?

Her voice barely came out as a whisper

She heard Dylan sigh and she could imagine his expression

“I’m downstairs, in your house”

Georgia was shocked

Dylan was here?
Like right now?

Jumping out from the bed, she looked through the window and Dylan was right there

“Wh-wh-why are you here?
Georgia asked getting more nervous

She wasn’t really ready to face him

She was scared to hear what he had to say

Was he going to say

‘I’m sorry Georgia but you were just my plaything and I’ve found the woman I want to be with’

or

‘I’m getting engaged, let’s end whatever we had’

or

‘you aren’t the one for me’

Georgia could feel headache coming in

“Georgia? are you listening?
Came Dylan’s worried voice that she thought maybe she imagined it.

She asked back

“I said I’m here to see you, why else…..come on Georgia, come down”

Dylan urged her gently as he looked up at the window,

She looked down too and their eyes locked

“Baby…. please I need to talk to you, come down please”
Dylan begged

He looked tired and worn out, Georgia
