Dylan felt like his heart was gripped by an invisible hand and was squeezed tight that he couldn’t breath when he saw her cry

Oh God! what has he done?!

He didn’t know that his silent treatment had hurt her so much this way

Unknown to Dylan, Georgia heard what he said in the hospital ward and so didn’t know that Georgia’s heart was more broken…..he only thought it was because of the silent treatment and because of Vanessa tonight.

On the other hand, Georgia mistook his silence as guilt and the tears poured out the more

“You know Dylan, you shouldn’t have chased me, you shouldn’t have breakdown the walls I’ve built, you shouldn’t have come into my life only to leave it in damage”

Dylan felt fear rising within him

Did he push her too far?!
No no no, this isn’t the result I wanted…

Before he could stop her, Georgia had already left the restroom.

Recollecting his thoughts, Dylan made a move to leave when he halted on his track

Old Gerald glared hard at him and took steps closer to him

“Mr……”

Dylan was interrupted by pain on his arm as a result of being hit by old Gerald’s cane

Though old, Old Gerald had actually served in the military in his youthful years and so the force was strong and the impact was felt.

Dylan didn’t flinch, he saw it coming but didn’t dodge it
He could feel the anger in old Gerald’s eyes

“You bstard!!!
Old Gerald yelled and stomped his cane hard on the floor

“How dare you? have you no conscience at all? you hurt my child…..you promised me you wouldn’t!!!!

“I have no intention of hurting her at all, I still love your daughter but I need to do this for her safety, please bare with me”

Dylan bowed slightly

Old Gerald flared up
“What nonsense are you spouting?!! how would you say you didn’t mean to hurt her? you showed up tonight with another lady beside you and you think it wouldn’t hurt her?!!

You want to keep her safe? from what exactly?? or you got fade up of her and moved on to another lady?!!

Dylan was almost forced to tell old Gerald everything, including his plans but he stopped himself

He would be jeopardizing Georgia’s life if he does

So with one last bow, Dylan left the restroom

Old Gerald’s eyes narrowed down as he watched Dylan’s retreating form.

The rest of the party, Dylan wasn’t himself and so was Georgia.

Vanessa wasn’t oblivious to what happened and so she decided to speed up the plan in getting rid of Georgia, and this time for real.

THE NEXT DAY

Garfield walked hurriedly into the house with his laptop.

Aunt Diane smiled seeing him

“Ohh Assistant Boss, you’re here but please don’t talk to boss about work”
She advised

“Sure aunt, I won’t…..hmmm….what is it I smell?

Garfield asked with his eyes closed, inhaling the heavenly aroma coming from the kitchen

Aunt Diane smiled more, she loves it when her dishes are being acknowledged

“I’m making steak and sandwiches for breakfast, do come down soon and have breakfast, I bet you haven’t eaten this morning”
Aunt Diane said

“Ahh thanks Aunt, but I don’t have much time”
Garfield made a sorry face.

Aunt Diane waved her hand
“Not to worry, I’ll pack some for you and you can have it as later in the office”

“Ohhh perfect! thanks Aunt”
Garfield was filled with gratitude and then climbed upstairs

Aunt Diane chuckled
“What a workaholic”
She shook her head and entered the kitchen
