Anabelle was petrified to the core
“You’re lying Ryan, you still love me and that bch of a girl is seducing you, do you know her background?
I bet you don’t, you wouldn’t take a liking to her if you did, the file I gave you will make you realize that!
Ryan’s eyes narrowed
“What did you say? Did you make a background check on her?
Anabelle shuddered with the sudden change of tone Ryan used
His eyes blazed in low anger as if rising up in bubbles
She haven’t seen this look in Ryan’s eyes before not even when they were together
At the moment, his expression was like a bull who saw red
“I had to! She can’t just come out of nowhere and claim you!! She isn’t worth it Ryan! She’s a total bitch who….. Mmmph”
Anabelle was cut short when Ryan gripped her chin in a tight squeeze, She writhed in pain and pleaded for Ryan to let her go
With his fingers still gripping her chin, he glared at her
“Say one more word about her that way and I’ll ruin your life that you would so regret ever stepping a foot in LA”
Anabelle nodded exasperatedly as her eyes glistened with tears when Ryan finally let go of her and without a glance, he walked out on her
Anabelle sniffed, controlling her tears and then began laughing like a maniac
“Ryan couldn’t possibly hate me, yes he doesn’t, he’s just still mad I left him years back, who wouldn’t? He’s now trying to make me jealous”
Anabelle firmly convinced herself with a teary smile

Dylan’s eyes followed Georgia’s movement anxiously, ready to climb down the bed and hold her if she tries leaving and that was why he didn’t want to sleep despite the effects of the sedative kicking in
Georgia could feel Dylan’s eyes on her that was making her actions awkward
She was currently brewing tea for him in a guest room which they were currently in
“About the engagement, I….”
“Damien said you shouldn’t talk much”
Georgia immediately cut him off, somehow she didn’t want to hear Dylan’s explanation about his engagement with his secretary
She was scared, she wouldn’t like what he would say
On the other hand, Dylan narrowed his eyes
‘Damien?
He thought, she calls him informally now?
Jealousy was creeping in but he held it in, he didn’t want to appear unreasonable which was exactly his problem now
“Georgia, but you have to hear me out”
Dylan pleaded
“Please”
He added softly
They stared at each other for a while before Georgia sighed and moved towards him with the brewed tea
“Here”
She presented and Dylan slowly took it all the time, his eyes not leaving her face
“The truth is, I ain’t getting engaged with Miss Summer, I didn’t even know about the news until few hours ago after Damien attended to my wound”
Georgia batted her lashes slowly and looked away from him
“so what Dylan? she asked softly, slowly dragging her eyes to meet his anxious ones
“it’s on the news now, everyone knows about it and Dylan tell me, is there any smoke without a fire somewhere?
Georgia asked with a tired smile
Dylan moved closer to Georgia and when she tried to back away from him, he didn’t give her the chance to but immediately wrapped his arms around her, he frowned due to the slight ache he felt coming from his freshly stitched wounds but managed to pull her closer to himself
“I’ll take care of it Georgia but I just need you to trust me, please….. just trust me on this and I’ll take care of everything and come back to you fully, we’ll live the rest of lives freely and happily, without having to deal with people who doesn’t want us together, okay?
Dylan pleaded
He figured out that he had almost destroyed his relationship while trying to protect her and it was because he didn’t tell her nor give her heads-up about it, maybe it was because it was urgent because he started his plotting immediately he woke from coma but now, he wouldn’t make that same mistake
Georgia gazed into his eyes and saw emotions spilling out of them
Love, regret, remorse, determination, care and yearning
And she knew that she couldn’t stay agree with this man forever and whatever her answer to any of his questions would be is Yes
“Yes, I trust you and I’ll wait…..Just don’t waste so much time or you’ll miss out on the biggest news ever”
Georgia smiled through tears
Dylan breathed in a sigh of deep relief, having to get the love of his life’s trust
“Wait. what news?
He asked with smiles
Georgia smiles slyly,
“When finally keep me safe, I’ll tell you about it”
Dylan facepalmed and then nodded
“Can I get a kss from my little cat?
He pouted so dmn innocently and cute
Georgia blushed and leaned forward swiftly to give him a kss on his cheek but Dylan had already predicted her movement and turned his face just as the kss was about to land on his cheek, making Georgia to kss him right on the lips instead
Once their lips got connected, it was as if they were electrocuted and sparks flew around them as they ravished each other’s lips
The kiss got so emotional that Dylan tasted something salty and it took him few seconds to realize the salty taste was coming from Georgia’s eyes
