Dylan frowned when he heard her sniff and her shoulders shook slightly
Panicking, he swiftly turned her around to face him and his eyes contracted seeing her tears
Georgia looked down to hide her teary face from him
She didn’t want to show him her weak side, but she couldn’t control her emotions from spilling out and didn’t know when she cried
It was just that, him hugging her that way brought deep memories to her mind both sweet and bitter ones.
Dylan didn’t like how she hid her face from him and he cupped her chin with his palms
“Georgia please look at me”
He pleaded and Georgia did look at him but that wasn’t the look he wanted
No, it wasn’t at all…..it was far from it
Georgia hatefully slapped his hands away from her cheeks and in that moment of distraction, she pulled herself from his embrace and stepped backwards
“You’re here to mock me right? Why don’t you say what you wanted to say and leave, why don’t you tell me now that you don’t want me anymore and that……that you want your secretary instead”
Georgia cried and even as Dylan hugged her she didn’t have the strength to push him away anymore
“Georgia? Baby, my baby look it’s all….God baby… I’m sorry, I want you, I love you, I found out you misunderstood me especially when you overhead me at the hospital”
Dylan paused and ruffled his hair in frustration while Georgia listened to him with glistening eyes, the tears were still threatening to fall
Her face right now almost drove Dylan to the edge
Fk! He had hurt his woman so much
He had vowed to kll anyone who dares hurt his woman and he himself had caused so much pain to her and he felt like klling himself but he would be selfish again and have her back, her heart, soul and body
“Look, I had to keep you safe…I had to say that because I was dealing with my grandpa.
He’s a ruthless man and if he finds out about the incident with Ron, he wouldn’t hesitate to eliminate you and I can never let that happen Georgia….
I had to say that for him not to see you as a threat to his asset”
Dylan said sadly making Georgia’s eyes widen
She had stopped glaring at him a long time ago and had now soften his gaze a little
Her mind was in chaos, she didn’t know what to believe
“How about your secretary? was it also part of your ways in protecting me?
Georgia scoffed
Seeing his silence, she took it as he was speechless and didn’t have any explanation for his deeds
“You didn’t think I’ll ask that did you?
She shook her head
Dylan didn’t know how to explain it, he had so much to say and she wouldn’t understand in this state she was in
How would he tell her that Vanessa was a pawn in his game and that was why he was humouring her and even brought her to the party
“I’ve heard you Dylan, thanks for protecting me but if it’s your secretary you want then tell me now and I’ll understand”
Though Georgia said that with indifference, only she knew how her heart was hurting badly as if someone stabbed her with a knife
If he really say those words to her, she Wouldn’t bear it
“No Georgia it isn’t what you think, it’s….it’s just that”
God, he didn’t know what to say
To think that the almighty Dylan who doesn’t give a fk about making decisions or saying something to anyone not minding how the news would make you feel, was actually short of words in front of his woman
Alright, he’s gonna say it
He would make her understand
Taking a deep breath, he looked her in the eye
“Ge……”
His face contorted painfully.
