Vanessa went over to give her supposed soon to be mother-in-law a hug
“How are you doing mother?
Vanessa asked and Madam Viola couldn’t help but pick up the change of title
Vanessa had always called her Aunt and the sudden change to calling her ‘mother’ was too obvious
“I’m good, sit my dear, Vikki get something for Nessa”
Vikki nodded and left for the kitchen immediately
Madam Viola’s phone beeped all of a sudden and she clicked on it to see a video that was posted on weibo
“The world’s most richest and most handsome bachelor Dylan Donovan is now in a relationship with you, is that correct Miss summer?
A reporter asked
Vanessa shyly smiled
“we love each other’s company”
She said
In normal words and understanding, she didn’t concur with the reporter but her words also had another meaning to it which indirectly agreed to the reporter’s question
After the party were Dylan and Vanessa attended together, it left more to the imagination of people
“Miss Summer, a paparazzi caught you in this store buying male wears, could we see it as a girlfriend buying gifts for her man and could that man be Mr Donovan?
Another reporter asked
Vanessa didn’t respond to this but she smiled while blushing
It looked like a girlfriend that was too shy to admit her relationship in public
The reporters got excited and another one asked
“Recently I saw Mr Donovan enter a ring store, could that be him buying an engagement ring? should we start expecting to hear wedding bells ring?
Vanessa kindly smiled
“We chose not to disclose any information till the time is right, thank you”
She said
From her statement, the ‘We’ she said clearly meant she and Dylan
Meaning they both were planning something
The video ended.
Madam Viola looked up in shock while Vanessa smiled uneasily
“Nessa? This video was what made other press companies publish the news about your engagement with Dylan, why weren’t you specific about it?
Madam Viola asked
“We both know that even though Dylan had opened up to you, he still isn’t treating you as a partner
Why did you let it get into your head and made the video compromising, what if it backfires on you?
Vanessa looked up sadly with teary eyes
“But mother, he brought me as a plus one to Mr Wils party, isn’t that a sign?
She reasoned
“A sign? A sign you say, have you forgotten it was more of a business party and you are his secretary, it was only right he brings you, there are so many other people who came with their female secretaries”
Vanessa thought about it and got sadder the more
She actually knew and thought about it, she knew that Dylan only brought her because it was a business party but when she walked hand in hand with Dylan into the hall with everyone’s gazes on them, she became too lost in the moment and her fantasies got ahead of her
Madam Viola sighed seeing Vanessa’s sad face
She loved the girl and wants her as a daughter in-law but her attitude this time showed desperation and she didn’t like it
I just hope Dylan doesn’t tick off about this news
Madam Viola thought while Vanessa was fuming inside
Well I still love the outcome of the news, it would further drift Dylan and Georgia apart
