Episode thirty nine
Alex
George seems lost of words as he keeps on looking from me to vee, and am sure we all know what he’s thinking.
” What’s going on here,” he finally asks.
” Nothing, I was just using Alex’s bathroom since Rita’s has some kind of problem, ” Vee says.
Why is she explaining herself to him? It’s not like she owes him any explanations.
I walk closer to her and she she immediately gets tense. I can’t tell if it’s me who’s affecting her but I sure hope so, since she’s also doing something to me that I can’t explain.
” What are you doing here, ” I ask George who’s busy glaring at me.
” I needed to talk to the both of you. ”
” I can’t right now. Am getting ready for work, ” Vee says and I switch my eyes to her.
” Work? You are not going anywhere, ” I say and she looks at me surprised by what I just said.
She looks so cute with her wet wet hair, plastered on her back. She’s a natural beauty.
” What?! She asked with furrowed eyebrows.
” I said, you are not going anywhere. ” I repeat and I smile as a frown forms on her face.
” You know I wasn’t asking for your permission, right? ”
” I do, but you are still not leaving. ”
” Just because, I live in your house, doesn’t mean you can tell me what to do! ”
” Actually, it does. You staying here makes you mine. ”
” What? ” George says and I turn to him, realizing what I just said.
” I meant my responsibility, ” I say looking back at Vee. ” it’s not like am trying to control you or anything. I just feel that now is the right time, especially after everything you’ve been through this past few days. I suggest you wait until Maya is better, then you can work yourself to death, if you wish to. ”
” He’s right Vee, ” George says. ” You shouldn’t be in any hurry . You know i am here for whatever you need. ”
” Okay…, ” Vee say rolling her eyes. ” Excuse me. ”
” What the fuck was that all about? “George asks as soon as Vee leaves locking the door behind him.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. ”
” I know you do! ” He says angrily. ” What did I just walk in on? ”
” I don’t owe you any explanation, ” I say taking a towel. ” And who gives you the right to be jealous when you are still sleeping around with Merghan, huh? ”
” I just hope you are not trying to steal her from me! ”
” Steal?! First off, she’s not an object to be stolen and secondly, she has never been yours. ”
” But she’ll be, soon,” he says sure of himself.
” That’s not going to happen. ”
” What does that me? ”
” Figure it out and if you would please excuse me, I need to take a shower. ”
” I have something important to talk to you about ,first.”
” Okay, but it’ll have to wait, ” I say walking to the bathroom .
Am still Angy with George, especially after he defended that crazy girl Merghan but I really don’t like fighting with him. I just hope he realizes soon that Merghan is a snake.
I step in the shower and the image of Vees nked body comes rushing in my mind and Dmn! What a body she has! I thought Stacy was the sxiest woman alive, but boy was I wrong!
When she came out of the bathroom, looking all nervous and shy and our eyes locked, I felt this overwhelming emotion that I still can’t figure out. I had a crazy urge to kss every inch of her gorgeous body.
Just looking at her got me thinking about all the things I could do that body!
Fk! What am I doing?
I can’t think of her like that when my best friend is in love with her!
Am sure this is pure lu$t and there’s nothing to worry about. I mean, any man would go crazy after seen her like that! She’s the pure definition of beauty and the most sxy thing about that is, she doesn’t even realize how beautiful she is.
I really have to get my shit together and stop thinking about her or else am going to lose both her And George.

Am down stairs in about twenty minutes and I find vee and George, deep in a conversation.
” So what brought you here George.” I go straight to the point.
Am in a tight t shirt and a short and I can swear, I see vee checking me out but looks away the second our eyes meet and I dont blame her. Not to brag, but am sxy and I know it.
” I came to apologize for not believing what you said about Merghan. That girl has clearly lost it. ”
” It’s good that you came back to your senses but if I may ask, what brought you to that conclusion? “I ask sitting beside him.
” Well… I overheard her talking to Stacy on the phone and you were right, it wasn’t an accident. She wanted to hurt Vee but when her plan failed, she came running to me, telling me her side of the story. ”
Vee is sitted calmly not surprised by what George said. I guess she saw this coming.
” Tell me that you called the police on her already, ” Ava says coming down the stairs. ” We can’t have a murderer running lose. ”
” That’s not going to be possible, Merghan already covered her tracks.”
” What? How? ” I ask.
” I had her car checked out without her knowing and it’s true that her breaks are not working. ”
” Am sure she messed with them after the accident, ” Vee says.
” Of course she did! but am sure if we investigate carefully, well find a loss end somewhere, ” Ava says stroking her chin. ” We can not let her get away with this! Please tell me that you atleast fired her. ”
” Actually… She doesn’t know that I found out the truth. Am keeping tabs on her, waiting for her to mess up then, I’ll catch her red handed. ” No one messes with vee and gets away with it. ” George says.
” You know you are partly to blame for this, right?” i ask him raising a brow.
” I do, and am sorry for not believing you at first. I just…. never thought she’d do something like that. ”
” What did you expect? she’s best friends with the devil herself! ” Ava say rolling her eyes and suddenly my phone rings.
” Hey mum, ” I answer and everyone is quiet, listening to me
” Hi, Alex. I hope you still remember that it’s my birthday on Saturday. ”
“How can I forget my mums birthday! Are you planning on throwing one of you huge parties? ” I ask with a smile.
” What parties? You know i hate parties,” she says and I let out a small chuckle while Ava shakes her head.
It’s true though, she hates parties. One time we threw her a surprise party and she ended up kicking every guest out, really embarrassing us! Her opinion is that, birthdays are sacred and should be celebrated with family and not people who don’t give a fk about you.
But rumour has it that she was always a party animal, until she caught my Dad making out in the bathroom with a random girl on her 21st birthday. That’s when her relationship with parties ended.
Anyways we always have a small family gathering on her birthdays and have dinner togethet. George and his Mum are the only outsiders invited.
“Okay…… so What are you planning? ”
” Nothing new, I just called to make sure you bring vee along. ”
” You want me to bring Vee along?! ” I ask looking at Vee who’s busy shaking her head, her eyes wide open.
She looks so h©rrified, one would think she’s about to be $laughtered.
” Yes, she’s part of the family now and she should be there. ”
” Uumh…i don’t know if she’ll be able to make it Mum, ” I say my eyes still on vee. ” She’s…not feeling well and I think it will be better if she rests. ”
” What? What’s wrong with her? is it serious?! ”
” No mum, it’s just the usual pregnancy stuff. She’s been really tired lately and I think she should not move around to much.
“Yeah, that will be for the best, ” she says sounding disappointed as i sigh in relief.
” Okay mum, I guess I’ll see you on Saturday. ”
“Yeah… But wait a minute, ” she says excitedly as am about to hang up.
” Yes.. ”
” Since Violet won’t be able to come to us, how about we go to her?”
” Meaning? ” I ask confused.
” Meaning that well have dinner at your apartment, How about that?!”
” Okay….,” i agree. I mean what choice do I have. ” See you. ”
” One more thing, ” she says and I can’t help but roll my eyes. ” Stacy will be joining us. ”
” What ?why ?”
” She wants to join us and I think it’s a great idea. Maybe she’ll finally move on after she sees how happy you are with Violet. ”
” You know that will never happen, she’ll just ruin everything. ”
” It’s my birthday and I decide who I invite, okay? See you,” she says hanging up.
” What happened? what did she say. ” That’s Vee.”
” Well… Since we told mum you won’t be able to make it, she decided to have the dinner here. ”
” Really? ” Ava asks.
” Yes, and the worst part is Stacy is going to be here to! ”
” Oh no, ” Vee says face palming herself.
” Uumh…. what’s going on here? ” George asks looking lost.
” Nothing but the usual drama George, ” I say sighing softly.
Am more than sure Stacy is upto something!
