Episode fifty two
Vee
” What? ” George asks eyeing Alex with so much hatred.
” I said, that won’t be possible! ”
” That’s for Vee to decide, Alex! ”
” Yes it is, ” I interfere before things get out of hand. ” And you know we’ve got nothing to talk about George. ”
” Vee come on! How long are you going to hold a grudge against me? Please just let it go, I already promised you it wont happen again and I meant it, ” he says trying to hold my hand but I move back.
Alex is starting to get agitated and he’s busy throwing daggers at George. I don’t get why George won’t just leave me alone!
I’ve already made it clear that I don’t want anything to do with him but he just never gives up and he’s even starting to make up stories about us.
” It’s funny how you want me to forgive you but still continue hurting me! ” I say and he seems kind of confused for a second.” How could you fake photos of us together and send them to Alex? What were you trying to do, huh?!
” I did what?! ”
” Cut the bullshit George! ” Alex says fuming. ” The photos were taken at your apartment and in your office, right after you forcefully kissed Vee! When did you start forcing yourself on girls and making up lies? This is so unlike you. ”
” You want to know when it all started Alex? ” he asks walking over to him. This two are breathing fire right now and i hope they don’t end up killing each other! ” It started when you tried to steal my girl! You lied that she was just acting as your girlfriend but that was all part of your plan to get her to bed! And no need trying to hide it, Stacy told me that she found you two in bed! ”
” He never lied to you George! Nothing was going on between us then, ” I say.
” Yes, I didn’t lie about that and Vee is not your girl, she’s mine! ” Alex adds.
” She yours? ”
” Yeah, she’s my girlfriend, ” Alex confirms and George doesn’t seem to be surprised at all.He’s busy glaring at Alex and then his gaze switches to me.
” I thought you said you weren’t into relationships, Vee? ” George asks pain flickering in his eyes. ” So.. you rejected me for him? ”
” Look George, I don’t owe you any explanation, ” I say and he let’s out a chuckle messing up his hair.
” Okay……. Maybe you don’t but he does, ” he says pointing at Alex, his eyes dark and cold. ” You knew from the beginning that I was crazy about her but you still stole her from me! How could you do that to me?!”
” Am sorry George, this wasn’t planned.It just happened and I never meant to hurt you. I love her and she loves me, you should just accept that, ” Alex says but George just shakes his head.
“Did you know that Alex had planned on seducing you and sleep with you as pay back for rejecting me and being rude to him? ” George says and my heart stop for a second as i look at Alex. ” He said that he was going to prove you are a $lut, so I wouldn’t waste my time with you and from what I see, he’s surely keeping his word. ”
Oh God, I hope it’s not what am thinking!
Could all this just be a game to Alex?!
” Is what he said true?” I ask my voice shaky.
” Yes it true, I did say all that Vee, ” he says and I can see fear in his eyes as he takes my hand. ” But I didn’t mean any of it. I was just angry at the world after what happened with Stacy and I was talking and acting crazy. I am with you because I love you, not to prove anything to anyone. You believe me, right? ”
” Of course I do, ” I say and he sighs in relief.
How can I not believe him when I can see right through him. Am more than sure that he’s telling me the truth.
” You believe him just like that?!
” Yes George. I know Alex and I started off on the wrong foot but everything that happened in the past is behind us now .All that matters is that he loves me and i trust him whole hearted. Nothing you say will change that. ”
” You can’t be blind Vee! He’s only using you as a rebound, and I am the only one that truly loves you, ” George says cupping my cheeks but Alex is quick to push him away.
” Don’t touch her! ” he yells and George walks towards him furiously, and throws his first punch catching Alex unaware, but Alex recovers quickly and hits him back just as hard. They are all over each other in a few minutes, hitting the crap out of each other and I freeze not sure what to do.
” Stop it you two! ” I say but my words go unheard. ” Alex, please stop it! I continue yelling and he actually listens and move back but George attacks him again and the fight continues.
Suddenly, the door is unlocked and Rita walks in followed by Alicia.
” What the….! ” Rita says as they both watch in shock.
” Stop this now! ” Alicia says walking towards them and they immediately back off. ” What’s wrong with the two of you? Aren’t you supposed to be best friends? ”
” Not anymore! ” George says his voice full of spite. ” Your son is a traitor and a liar. ”
” What are you talking about? ”
” Alex stole the only girl I’ve ever loved and am never going to forgive him for that! ”
” You must be confused George.Alex would never do that to you and he’s with Vee now, ” Alicia says placing her hand on his shoulder. ” You two have been friends since forever and shouldn’t be fighting over a girl. ”
” Am sorry Alicia but Vee is mine and am not giving up on her,” George says and Alicia’s expression changes to confusion.
” I think you should go home and cool down George, this is not the time for this! We can talk about everything some other day, ” I say trying to stop him from telling Alicia the truth.
” No, he’s not leaving before giving me an explanation. What did you mean by Vee is yours George? ”
We are all tense hoping that George won’t say anything! Alicia might have another stroke if she finds out and am sure this time she won’t survive.
” George, just leave already, ” Alex says.
” No, I think it’s about time yor mum knows the whole truth. ”
” George please! You know she might not be able to handle it, ” Rita pleads.
” Stop talking about me as if am not here! I want to know what truth you are talking about George!”
” Everything that Stacy said the night of the dinner is all true, I am in love with Vee. She was just acting as Alex’s girlfriend and she’s not pregnant. They were just fooling you, ” George blurts out.
” Is that true? ” Alicia asks her eyes on me and I just shake my head.
There’s no use lying anymore.
” Am sorry mum but it was the only thing I could come up with, so you wouldn’t force me to marry Stacy. I was going to tell you the truth later but then your health deteriorated and I didn’t want to make it worse, ” Alex explains .” That’s why we put up the act, it was all for your own good. ”
” So it was all a lie, “Alicia asks in disbelief.
” Yes mum,and please dont get all worked up, ” Rita says. ” You know it’s not good for you. ”
” Am fine Ava, ” she says taking a seat. ” I still can’t believe it! I was so looking forward to seeing my grandchild before I leave this world. ”
” That might still happen Ma’am, ” Lisa says from the door, stepping in.
What is she doing here?
” Who are you and what are you doing here! ” Alicia asks eyeing her from head to toe.
” My name is Lisa, and am Alex’s friend. Am sorry to interrupt you but I have something important to tell you, ” she says with a smile, looking at Alex.
What’s she up to now?
” What do you want Lisa? ” Alex asks with a bored expression.
” I came to inform you that am pregnant. Am expecting your child Alex, ” she says excitedly and Alex’s expression goes flat just before he turns to look at me.
