Episode Fifty nine
Vee
You are so quite,” Peter says,after thirty minutes.” What are you thinking? ”
” That.. I wish I killed you the day I shot you, ” I say glaring at him.
” Too bad you lost that chance but if it makes you feel better, I almost lost my leg.”
“You been dead would have made me feel much better!”
“I love the courageous woman you’ve become ,” he says his eyes on the road.
” I hope you haven’t laid your dirty hands on my sister because,this time I’ll make sure to kill you after I chop off your balls! ” I say meaning every word.
” Your sister will be fine as long as both of you do as I say. ”
” And what exactly do you want? ”
” I’ll tell you everything once we get to our destination Vee, just be patient, ” he says and then his phone rings.
” Hey…is everything alright, ” he says and is quite for a while, listening to the person on the other end. ” What? Are you sure about that? ”
” Okay, ” I’ll see in a few minutes , ” He says hanging up. ”
His mood has changed and he is beyond angry.
We drive silently for about ten minutes before he turns driving in a secluded area and parks the car.
” Why did we stop, is Maya here?” i ask but he forcefully pulls me out of the car leading me to a black car that’s packed a few steps away from us.
What’s happening?!
He opens the car door and practically throws me in the back seat, sitting next to me.
” What the hell is happening? Why did you switch cars?” I ask as the car speeds off, taking a different route.
” You played me Vee!” he says furiously. ” You thought I wouldn’t find out that we were been followed?! ”
Fk! How did he find out?!
Am so s¢rewed!
” I don’t know what you are talking about. ”
” Oh really?! Who was following us? Is it your so called boyfriend or the cops ?!” he asks raising his voice.
” I said I don’t know! Maybe someone followed me from home. ”
” You’ve never been a good liar Vee ,I can see right through you! You thought you could fool me that easily ?!I thought you knew me better than that,” he says .
” Oh come on! You thought I’d come to you with no back up? We both know that you were not planning on letting Maya go, after you get what we want! I had to do this for my sister. ”
“I was actually having second thoughts about letting Maya go but now, I’ll surely kill the both of you! ” he says his eyes dark with anger. ” I want to know who was following us, now! ”
“It was the police! I told them everything after you called me. ”
” You just ruined everything you stupid bch! Now the police will be on my case and I have to change all of my plans!” he says punching the back of the seat in front of him.
” You started all this by kidnapping my sister! You brought this on your self !”
” Shut up! ” he shout, dialing a number on his phone and puts it on loud speaker. ” Are you still keeping an eye on the car? Did the idi©ts get to it yet? ”
” Yes Peter, they are all over the car as we speak, ” a voice say through the phone and I think it’s Pauls.” And…I just found out that the car had a tracker on it.”
” What?” Peter says giving me a deadly glare.
I thought that he knew about the tracker! why else would he switch cars if he didn’t?
” Just keep your eyes on them and tell me their every move and also make sure that everything is set to leave. Am sure it won’t be long before the police issue a warrant for our arrest and we have to be ahead of them. ”
” Am already working on that, all we need is the girls signatures and we are set to go,”
” I’ll take care of that, ” he says hanging up and then his eyes switch to me. So..the car had a tracker, huh?” You really had everything figured out. ”
” I thought you knew about it and that’s why you abandoned the car.”
” I did that because am sure the police already know the car plates and can use that to find us anywhere we go! Anyway, that’s done with already and it’s about time I ended all this, ” he says a wicked grin on his face.
Almost an hour later, I notice that we are in my old neighborhood and we are only five minutes away from my house.
He brought Maya back home?!
I look out the window, studying the place and it’s pretty much the same. I use to love this place, until my parents died and I never thought I’d be back here again.
” Out, ” Peter say the second the car is parked and I follow him to the house. I suddenly feel nervous as I walk in. I had so many good memories in this house but they were all destroyed by my psycho of an Uncle and I loathe him for that.
” Vee..” I hear Maya voice call and turn to see her tied up in a chair.
” Maya, ” I say running to her and give her a tight hug.” Are you okay? Did they hurt you, ” I ask strocking her cheeks, before am pulled back by Peter and placed on a chair. He takes out a rope from the back of the seat and ties my hands and legs with it.
” I’ll be right back ,” he says and walks away.
” Am good Vee, but it was so stupid of you to come here !” she says kind of disappointed.
” I had no choice Maya! You think I’d leave you alone in this kind of situation?! ”
” Well..now we are both doomed! ” she says rolling her eyes. ” He wants us to sign some stupid property papers, so he can steal everything away from us, but we won’t let that happen. ”
” Our lives are more important than any properties Maya, and you know I’ll sign anything if it means he’ll let you go! ”
” You know he won’t do that, especially now that you betrayed him! Look vee..peter won’t dare kill us because he needs us! Signing those papers will be like singing our death certificates!
” You know Peter won’t give up that easily!He might even kills us! ”
” Actually… Killing us before we sign the papers will not be at his best interest,” She says and gets me confused. ” I overheard him talking to Paul and if by any chance we both die without signing the papers, all of Dads assets will go to charity, so promise me you won’t sign anything no matter what happens Vee!”
” I don’t know Maya.. ,” i say shaking my head.
“Finally!you are here ,” Mike says coming down the stairs a wide grin on his face.
He walks to me and tries to kss me on the cheek but I move my head back.
” Don’t touch me Mike! ”
” You are going to have to get used to me touching you Vee, because from now on its going to be me and you, ” he says with a wink and I can’t help but roll my eyes.
” You know I’d rather kill myself than be with you Mike but, if you help Maya get out of this place, I’ll do whatever you want, without a fuss, “I said my eyes pleading.
” Your sister will be fine as long as you do what your uncle wants. ”
” He’s going to kill us Mike! Please help me save my sister. ”
” He’s not going to kill you. The deal was that he’ll let Maya go and leave you with me once, you guys sign the papers. ”
” He lied to you!”
” Stop it Vee! You are only wasting your time with Mike and even if he decides to help, you know am not going anywhere without you. I got you into this mess and there’s no way am living you here alone! ” Maya says.
” Enough with the chitchat, ” Peter say walking to me. ” Sign this, ” he says handing me some papers and a pen.
” Am not signing anything until you let my sister go. ”
” I don’t have time to waste Vee, now sign it! ” he says angrily, veins showing on his face .
“No! ”
” Okay.. I guess we are going to do this the hard way then,” he says walking to Maya. He unties her, forcing her to get up and starts pulling her towards the stairs.
” What are your doing, ” I asked panicking.
” Am going to finish what I started six years ago! I’ll have so much fun with her,” he says with a smile.
” No…don’t touch my sister, ” I yell twisting and turning on the chair, trying to untie myself.
” You are going to rape her?! This was not part of the plan,” Mike says.
” Shut up pretty boy! I make the rules here and why are you acting surprised? Weren’t you going to do the same thing to Vee?”
“I’ll sign the papers, please don’t harm her! ” I say tears running down my face.
Good! ” Peter says with a smirk, tying Maya back to the chair.
“Don’t vee! We can’t let him win this time ,” Maya says silent tears falling from her eyes .” I’ll never forgive you if you do. ”
Peter walks towards me and i spot a gun on him. As soon as he unties me, I stand up quick and kick him hard in the crotch. He groans in pain and I take this chance and try to to grab the gun from him,but he moves back and quickly takes it out .
” Am so done with you! ” he yells pointing the g un at me but before he can shoot , Mike kicks it of his hand.
They both rush to get the gu n and I run to Maya and start untying her legs. I suddenly hear a g un shot and when I look up, I see Mike fall to the ground, bl ood gushing out of his chest.
