Martin sighed, focusing his gaze on her. He was truly sorry now, as he had admitted that what he did to Alexander was wrong.
Evelyn could feel his gaze on her, but she decided to ignore it.
“Eve,” Martin called again, but Evelyn ignored him once more. Martin sighed and stared out of the window.
Evelyn turned to look at him secretly, and a smile crept onto her lips.
“Sir, we are here,” the driver said as he parked the car in front of the company.
Evelyn quickly rushed out of the car while a guard opened the door for Martin.
“Seriously, Eve, I am sorry,” he pleaded as he walked toward Evelyn, who continued to ignore him. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head.
He slowly knelt down.
“Eve, please forgive me!” he yelled loudly, making everyone turn their attention toward them.
Evelyn gasped as she saw Martin kneeling on the floor, not minding the crowd around them.
? What the h’ll is going on?
? Why is the boss kneeling down?
? Why is he asking Evelyn for forgiveness?
? Something is going on between them.
As Evelyn heard the comments from the crowd, she panicked and quickly moved toward Martin, who was still kneeling down.
“What the hell are you doing, Martin? Please stand up,” she said, more like pleading, and Martin just smirked.
“No, I won’t stand up until you forgive me,” he pouted his lips.
Evelyn glared at him.
“My fiancé and I had a fight yesterday, and she won’t even talk to me.
So please help me ask for her forgiveness,” Martin yelled through the crowd, and Evelyn’s eyes widened.
? Oh my gosh!
? Somebody pinch me already.
? How can the boss date such trash? ?
? I knew all along they were dating.
? Awwn ? the boss is so cute.
? Look at the way Evelyn is blushing.
Evelyn couldn’t help but smile as she heard the positive comments.
“Please forgive me, sweetheart ?,” he pleaded, grabbing hold of her leg. Evelyn smiled.
“Okay, fine.”
“I didn’t hear you.”
“I forgive you, darling ?,” she replied, and everyone gasped. She didn’t know where she got that boldness of calling him darling, but she really liked it.
Elizabeth smiled lightly as she stared at them, while Andy just scoffed angrily, glaring at them. He felt so much hatred, jealousy, and anger growing inside him.
Martin stood up, and they both stared at each other. Martin kissed her softly, making everyone scream.
By now, people were already taking pictures of them.
“I am really sorry,” he whispered as he broke from the kss, and they hugged each other.
Alexander lay on the hospital bed, staring into space, when the door opened and Mr. Tom walked in. His eyes held anger as he stared at Alexander.
“Don’t look at me that way. I know this girl, and I’m not going to do that fucking job,” Alexander said.
“I paid you for the job,” Mr. Tom said slowly, and Alexander sighed.
“I have loved this girl since college, and I just want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
“The same girl who already belongs to someone else. I don’t want to get on Martin’s nerves. He is going to hunt me.
