Chapter 68
“Yeah, I am serious. We haven’t gone on a date since we started dating, so let’s just go now.
Please,” he pleaded through the phone, and Evelyn couldn’t help but laugh.
“Okay, I will go get ready,” she replied, standing up from the couch.
“Hmm, okay, I will come pick you up. I am already on my way now,” he said and ended the call.
Evelyn scoffed as she stared at her phone before walking into the room.

“Martin,” Haris called happily as Martin walked into the room. He walked towards him and hugged him gently, and this time, Martin reciprocated the hug.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, and Martin scoffed before sitting down on the chair.
“We are going on a date,” he simply replied, and Haris nodded, smiling.
Suddenly, Haris playfully pvnched him on his shoulder, but he could swear it damn hurt.
“What was that for?” Martin glared angrily at him.
“Next time, don’t make my friend cry again,” Haris said, and Martin rolled his eyes.
“But man, that hurt,” Martin said, and Haris stuck out his tongue at him, making him frown.
“I am gonna punch you back,” he said, moving towards Haris, who quickly ran away, and Martin just laughed.
The two were getting closer. Martin had admitted that he really liked the young man.
He liked the fact that Haris liked Evelyn as a friend and didn’t want to see her get hurt.
“Uncle Martin,” Ava yelled, running towards him and hugging him tightly, and Martin just smiled before reciprocating the hug and then he carried the little one.
“Cutie pie,” he kssed her cheek, and the little one smiled, making her look even more beautiful.
“I missed you,” she said, and Martin just stared at her with surprise. He never expected her to say such words.
“Aww, cutie, I missed you too,” he said and kssed her cheek once again before putting her down.
“Hmm, Martin,” someone called out, making him turn around, only to see Evelyn. He opened his mouth as he stared at Evelyn.
She wore a complete outfit: a crop top and a short skirt. Evelyn was really shy with the way Martin was staring at her.
Martin bit his lips as he stared at her, but then he suddenly scoffed.
“Go and change that fucking dress,” he said, and Evelyn scoffed.
“What the h’ll are you saying?” Evelyn frowned angrily.
“I’m sure you heard me well. The skirt is too short. It shows your beautiful, hot legs, and I don’t want those hungry men to stare at what is mine,” he said seriously, and Evelyn just sighed before staring down at herself, trying to see if it was that bad.
“Seriously, Martin, there is nothing wrong with this dress,” Evelyn said, and Martin glared at her.
“Eve, please go and change it,” Martin insisted.
Evelyn hissed before walking back into the room.
“You seriously are something else,” Haris said, and Martin just rolled his eyes.
Moments later, Evelyn walked down wearing jeans and the same crop top.
“Happy now?” she asked, and Martin rolled his eyes.
“Let’s go,” he took her hand gently, and they both walked out of the house.
They reached where the car was parked. When Evelyn tried to enter the car, Martin dragged her back and pvshed her against the car.
They were so close. His hand was wrapped possessively around her waist, and he didn’t care about the guards who were staring at them.
“I have been holding myself back from kssing you,” he whispered in her ear and bit her earlobe softly.
“Martin, we are outside, and your guards are here,” she said, trying to pvsh him away, but he didn’t allow it.
“Kss me,” he said, making Evelyn glare at him.
“Get away from me,” she tried to push him away, but Martin grabbed hold of her hand and pinned her to the car, claiming her lips immediately, making the guards widen their eyes and quickly turn away.
The kss was gentle, more like their usual norm. He broke the kss, and Evelyn just lowered her head shyly, making Martin chuckle.
“Come on, let’s go,” he took her hand softly, and they both entered the car.
