Chapter 67
The room was dark, and a young woman sat on a chair, smoking from a pipe.
The knock on the door made her turn towards it.
“Come in,” she said, and the door opened, revealing a young man in his late 20s. He walked in, bowing softly, and dropped a big file in front of her.
“Boss, we have done some research so far. They are now dating. Pictures of them were uploaded 10 hours ago, showing them going to a party, and another one was uploaded 3 hours ago when he was kneeling down in front of her.
And according to my informant, he was asking for her forgiveness,” the young man said. The lady frowned, her eyes filled with anger.
“I can’t believe this. After everything I tried my best to get his attention, but then a lowlife bch just came and took her away,” she said, shaking the table aggressively.
“Call me Taylor,” she said, smoking from the pipe, and the young boy nodded before walking out of the room.
She stared at the picture, and she grew even angrier.
“No matter what, Martin, you belong to me,” she yelled, and almost immediately, the door opened, revealing a man in his late 30s.
Who is he?
He is Taylor, one of the most dangerous a$sassins in New York. He is a very huge man known to be wicked, and he is good at what he does.
“You sent for me,” he said, smirking as he walked in, and she just scoffed.
Taylor has liked her, but she is damn obsessed with Martin that she has refused to be with another man.
Martin is a handsome man, no doubt. Girls fall for him easily, people get lost just by looking at him, and they suddenly make that crazy decision to have him at all costs.
“I want you to get a job done for me,” she said, and Taylor scoffed before walking gently towards her.
“What do I get in return?” he raised his eyebrows, and she huffed.
She knew exactly what he was talking about, but she was not going to give him what he sought.
“Two million dollars,” she replied, and Taylor scoffed.
“I don’t need your money, sweetie,” he whispered $eductively, lightly touching her clothes, and she huffed before pushing his hand harshly away from her.
“I don’t get you, Taylor. I just offered you two million dollars,” she said.
“Nope, I don’t need that… I want to spend a night with you,” he replied, and she glared at him.
“Fine… Get the job done,” she replied and threw the picture towards him.
“I want her dead in the next 24 hours…
Evelyn sat on the chair, going through her phone, and then she felt water pour on her, slowly reaching her phone.
“What the h’ll! Seriously?” she yelled, turning around, only to see that it was Ava.
“I’m sorry,” the younger figure pleaded, and Evelyn scoffed.
She would not dare be angry with the younger one. Even if she was, she wouldn’t show it.
After Martin had found her, she decided to take a rest at home. Actually, it was Martin’s idea.
He was having a very important meeting with his business partner, so he went back to the company, and she kind of missed him, though.
“It’s okay, sweetheart,” she smiled at Ava, who nodded and walked to the kitchen.
She scoffed and continued pressing on her phone.
“Hey, Evelyn,” the door opened, and Haris walked in.
“Hey,” she smiled lightly.
“Hmmm, I was kind of wondering if you could invite Elizabeth for lunch here,” he said, and Evelyn frowned, staring at him suspiciously.
“Wait… do you like Elizabeth?” she asked, and he nodded shyly, making Evelyn burst into laughter.
“Oh my gosh… Haris is shy,” she teased, still laughing, and Haris just pouted his lips.
“Seriously, Evelyn. Stop teasing me,” he pouted his lips cutely, and Evelyn just rolled her eyes.
“Fine… I will talk to her,” she said, and Haris squealed happily, while Evelyn just shook her head.
She hadn’t fallen in love with Martin that way. She had been kind of rude at first, always ignorant and arrogant towards him, but Martin was ready to take anything from her.
His heart was so cold to give up, but those moments couldn’t make her stop smiling.
He made so much effort to make sure she was his. He was so determined that he went the extra mile to make sure she fell for him.
Almost immediately, her phone rang, and she smiled when she saw the caller.
“Hey,” she said slowly as she picked up the call.
“Hey sweetheart, how are you doing?” he asked in his tired voice. His voice showed he was dmn tired.
“Fine… you seem tired,” Evelyn said, and Martin sighed.
“Yeah, kinda had a long meeting with my business partner, but I just wish you were here with me,” he said, and Evelyn blushed.
“Hmm, you can come visit me, you know,” she suggested.
“Hmm… how about we go on a date?” he asked, and Evelyn chuckled.
“Hmm, seriously?”
