Chapter 84
Martin gently embraced her, softly patting her hair as she cried on his shoulder.
“I know you’re scared, Evelyn, but no matter where you are or what dangers you face, remember that I’ll always be there for you,” he assured her, continuing to stroke her hair gently. Evelyn simply nodded, still tearful.
“So, what do I do now?” she asked as they broke away from the embrace.
“You’re going to follow his instructions, but we’ll be right behind you to ensure your safety and to catch Alexander,” Martin explained, and Evelyn nodded in agreement.

The room was dimly lit and rundown, with the sound of someone sobbing filling the air.
The door suddenly opened, and he walked in with a smirk on his face.
“Hey, kiddo, stop crying. Your sister will be here soon,” he said, grabbing her face while the younger one glared at him.
“Why are you trying to ruin my sister’s relationship?” the younger one asked angrily, glaring at him. Alexander huffed in response.
“What does this little one know about relationships?” he muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on Ava.
His phone rang almost immediately, and a smirk spread across his face as he saw the caller’s name.
It was one of his accomplices, which meant Evelyn had arrived.
He answered the call. “Boss, she’s here,” he heard the voice on the other end say, widening his smirk.
“Bring her in,” he replied and ended the call. He glanced at Ava for a few seconds before walking out.

Evelyn was pushed into a room, and she swallowed hard as she looked around.
Almost instantly, she felt someone’s hand wrap around her waist, and she quickly moved away from him.
“Did you come alone?” Alexander asked, and Evelyn simply nodded.
“I want answers,” he demanded.
“Yes,” Evelyn replied, shivering.
“You know, Evelyn, I love you so much, and I won’t let him take you away from me,” he said.
“I don’t love you,” Evelyn retorted, and he scoffed.
“Well, well, well, Evelyn. It doesn’t matter if you don’t love me because you’re mine now,” he said, causing Evelyn to furrow her brow in confusion.
“I’ve arranged a flight to London, where we’ll start a new life together.
Don’t worry, Haris will take good care of Ava,” he explained, widening Evelyn’s eyes in shock.
“Are you ¢razy or something?” Evelyn yelled, panicking, and Alexander just chuckled.
“I’m not joking. Initially, I was supposed to kll you, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. So, I’m using this situation to my advantage,” he revealed.
“Please, Alexander, don’t do this,” Evelyn pleaded, crying, but he only scoffed.
“I was pleading with you before, Evelyn. Don’t worry, you’ll eventually fall in love with me,” he said, winking.
“Our flight is scheduled to depart in the next hour, and not even Martin will know our whereabouts.
“I will make sure of that,” he said.
Evelyn tried to run out of the room, but the door was locked.
“You can’t run away from me now, love,” Alexander said, making Evelyn panic.
She was so scared right now.
