He didn’t expect Evelyn to kss him.
“Thank you so much for today, Martin. I’m really happy that you are mine,” she said softly, staring into his eyes, and Martin just chuckled, kssing her softly.
“You’re worth risking my life for. Just know that, okay?” he said, and Evelyn nodded.
“You are the best,” she said, kssing him again.
“Ava is scared, though. I can see it in her eyes,” Evelyn said, and Martin sighed.
Almost immediately, Ava rushed towards them.
“What is it, princess?” Evelyn asked.
“I can’t sleep,” the younger one replied, and Evelyn sighed.
“Come here, sweetheart,” Martin said, stretching out his hand, and the younger one jumped into his arms.
“You don’t have to be scared, okay? I am always going to be there for you,” he said, and the younger one nodded.
“Your phone?” She said, extending her hand towards him.
“What?”
“I want to use your phone,” The younger one simply said, making Martin chuckle while Evelyn just laughed.
“Okay,” Martin said, handing over the phone to the younger one.
The door opened, and Charlotte and Elizabeth walked in.
“Evelyn,” Charlotte called, and they both hugged each other.
“Are you okay?” she asked, and Evelyn nodded.
“Sweetie,” Elizabeth called softly, hugging Evelyn who reciprocated immediately.
“Little one,” Charlotte called, trying to take Ava from Martin, but she didn’t allow her.
“I saw the news, and I was so scared,” Charlotte said, and Evelyn scoffed.
“The news?” she asked, surprised.
“Don’t be surprised. Boss is a popular businessman, a celebrity, and celebrities have nothing to hide,” Elizabeth said, and Evelyn nodded.
“Brother, are you okay?” Charlotte asked Martin, who nodded, and then she hugged him gently.
“What are you wearing?” he asked, staring at Charlotte, who just rolled her eyes.
She probably thought about him when wearing the clothes. He hates it when she wears revealing clothes.
She was putting on a blue gown that stops above her knees and black heels, and trust me, those clothes are expensive.
“Seriously, Martin? Stop with this overprotectiveness. She is a young adult already,” Evelyn said, and Martin scoffed.
“Yeah, but she is still my kid sister,” Martin said, and the girls chuckled.
Haris stepped out of the kitchen, and his eyes widened immediately when he saw Elizabeth.
His heart started beating again like it had found its other half.
“Elizabeth,” he called as he walked fully into the sitting room, and the girl also gasped.
“Oh, Haris. What the heck are you doing here?” she asked, surprised.
“Evelyn is my best friend,” he replied, and Elizabeth nodded. The two stared at each other softly before turning to look away.
Almost immediately, the door opened, and his friends walked in.
