“Mr. Martin, stop,” the police yell and quickly hold him.
“We will take over now,” one of the police officers said and quickly handcuffed Alexander, who was in visible distress.
“Darling,” he turned to Evelyn, who was sobbing uncontrollably.
He approached her and gave her a tight hug, and she responded by silently crying on his shoulder.
“Are you alright?” he asked with concern, and Evelyn simply nodded.
Martin breathed a sigh of relief before gently kssing her forehead.

Evelyn sat down on the chair, feeding Ava, whose eyes were still filled with tears.
The younger one was still in fear.
She was terrified, scared.
Evelyn sighed and hugged her sister.
“I want to sleep,” she said, and Evelyn nodded before gently laying her on the bed.
She kssed the younger one’s forehead and walked out of the room.
She walked downstairs and met the two boys playing a game while laughing, and Evelyn just smiled as she stared at them, especially Martin.
They were in Martin’s house right now since Evelyn said she was scared to be alone, and Martin suggested they come spend the night in his house.
He didn’t want them to be uncomfortable, so he wanted them to come stay in his house to keep them safe.
She smiled and walked towards them.
What happened today made her love Martin even more. She has come to realize that.
He was so determined to keep her and her loved ones safe.
She didn’t know what it feels like to have a gvn pointed at her head, but she felt that feeling today.
She felt like death was calling her at that moment when a gvn was pointed at her head, but when she saw Martin, she felt that feeling of hope building inside of her.
Martin might have anger issues, but she suddenly thanked God for being that woman in his life.
“Hey babe. Is Ava asleep?” Martin asked, not bothering to look at Evelyn, and Evelyn just smiled, not replying to him.
She gently sat on his thighs, making him unable to play the game.
“Babe, I am in the middle of a game, please,” he said, but Evelyn just laid her head on his chest.
“I am not going to distract you. You can play the game,” she said, and Martin chuckled and continued playing with the game while Haris just smiled, staring at them.
He has been with her for 8 months, and she is like his sister, and seeing her happy means a lot to him.
Seeing Martin doing everything to make sure Evelyn and Ava were safe made him wonder why Evelyn broke up with him the first time.
“Darn it,” Haris yelled as Martin won the game.
“You cheated,” Haris said, and Martin just rolled his eyes.
“I quit,” he said and dropped the gamepad on the table.
“Thank you so much for today,” she said as she laid on his chest softly, and Martin just smiled.
“Hmm hmm,” Haris cleared his throat, but they didn’t seem to be bothered about him.
“I will just go and get water,” he said and walked out, leaving the couple alone.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?” he asked softly, and Evelyn nodded, raising her head slowly to look at him, and then she kssed him, leaving Martin in shock.
