CHAPTER 12

Martin had never introduced her to any of his friends during their time in college because he was jealous of any other guy being around her.

She nervously gulped before knocking on the door.

“Come in,” she heard his husky voice say, and she slowly opened the door, only to be met with the gaze of four guys staring at her.

“Um, hi. I brought the coffee,” she said nervously, placing the coffee on the table, while Martin smirked, knowing she was shy.

“Your new secretary?” one of them asked, staring at her, but Martin ignored him.

“I don’t know why you’re all here, but I have a really busy schedule today,” Martin said. Evelyn stared at them before walking out of the office.

“Come on, Martin. We haven’t seen you for months, so we decided to pay you a visit, but it seems we are unwelcome,” one of the boys said, and Martin just rolled his eyes.

His friends were just like him. They all had similar characteristics, with only minor differences.

They were feared, wealthy, and always wore a wicked smirk on their faces.

Do you want to get to know his friends?

“Get your eyes off her,” Martin said through gritted teeth, his anger evident.

“Wow, chill, bro,” Liam said, and they all stared at him, surprised.

“Wait, I think I remember something,” Noah said, and they all looked at him, expecting him to say something.

“Isn’t she the girl whose picture is plastered all over his room?” he said, and their eyes widened, while Martin just sighed.

His friends were something else.

“Oh my goodness, she’s your ex,” James exclaimed, and Martin rolled his eyes.

“Oh man, she’s damn pretty,” Liam said.

His friends were just damn frustrating to him.

Liam, the oldest among them at 28 years old, was playful, a playboy, and the son of a very rich man. Kenneth, one of the retired Chicago police officers.

Noah, a 27-year-old gay man, was cute and handsome, with his father being a well-known and wealthy American lawyer.

His relationship had caused conflicts with his friends due to their differing religious beliefs.

James Peter, a 25-year-old man, was the same age as Martin, talkative among his friends.

His father was Anderson, a basketball player who had passed away. He was a kind-hearted person, but one should stay away from him when he was angry.

He was in a serious relationship with Tina, a popular actress in America.

Cole Max, the youngest at 19 years old, was the closest friend to Martin.

Martin was like a big brother to him, and they loved each other deeply.

He was the son of Joseph, an American doctor, and was a quiet yet intelligent individual.

“You know what, guys? Leave now. I have a business date soon, and I need to prepare for it,” Martin said.

“Okay, fine. But hey, I was thinking we could hang out sometime,” James said, but Martin didn’t reply.

“Always the arrogant man,” Noah said.

“I want to hang out with you,” Cole’s cute voice filled the room, and Martin sighed, staring at him.

He couldn’t say no to him, no matter how hard he tried. Cole was the one who saved him from being klled, and they had grown to like each other.

Most people thought they were g.ay, but they were not. They were the definition of real friends.

“Okay, fine,” Martin said, and Cole just smiled at him.

“You know this is cheating,” Noah yelled.

She sighed and splashed water on her face, staring at her reflection in the mirror.

The door opened, and her eyes widened as Martin stepped in.

“Hey, this is a female restroom. I thought you had your own bathroom inside your office,” Evelyn said fearfully as he locked the door.

“This is my company, Eve, and I can go wherever I want,” Martin said.
