Episode 76

As soon as I got home with Axel, I started making some food for him. While in the process, my phone beeped with an alert.

I quickly checked and discovered it was a credit alert.

Oh my goodness!

Zach has already sent the money!

Oh! Good Lord!

I smiled as I read the message.

“Mom, what’s wrong?” Axel, who was in the kitchen with me, asked, and I laughed and played with his hair.

“Your fees will finally be settled tomorrow, son! You won’t have a thing to worry about anymore,” I said happily, and his eyes sparkled.

“Wow! Are you serious, mom?” he asked.

“Yes, of course!”

I twirled around and kept the phone on the table.

Oh, thank goodness.

I was beginning to get anxious already.

And I can’t believe he sent me double of the money I needed.

Wow! I couldn’t wait to meet up with him and thank him!

I covered my face with my palms as if I was blushing.

Aww! It was quite shocking.

I heaved a huge sigh of relief, trying to contain my happiness. And after a while, I resumed cooking.

“Mom, are you going out?” Axel asked as I stood in front of the mirror, applying a little makeup.

I was already wearing my long red gown and blue heels, and I expected him to suspect that I was going out.

“Yes, son. But I’ll be back before you know it,” I replied to him, still looking into the mirror.

“Is it with him? Your boss?” he asked, and I quickly turned to look at him.

Oh, my!

Oh, goodness!

How did he guess so well?

“Um…yes,” I replied with a nod, and his eyes drooped.

Huh? What is wrong with him?

“Is there something wrong?” I asked as he lowered his head.

“I don’t know. Do you really have to go out with him?” he asked, making me stunned.

“Of…of course, Axel. Hold on; why don’t you like him?” I asked, and he shrugged.

“You’re free to have your fun,” he replied and left the room, and I stared at the shut door for some time.

Oh my! What’s wrong with him?

I placed my hand on the table and sighed. This kid is just something else.

I resumed with my makeup, and not long after, I heard the doorbell ring.

Huh? Who could it be?

“Axel?” I called, wondering if he was the one playing with the bell or something.

I didn’t get any response from him, and immediately, I stood up and left to check it out.

I rushed to the living room, being careful with my steps because of the heels I was wearing.

And when I reached there, I found the door open with Axel standing in front of it.

“Axel?” I called and approached, and the open door revealed someone from outside.

“Mom?” I called in shock.

What on earth…?

Immediately, someone else appeared behind her, a guy with a striking appearance.

He seemed so calm, standing with a hand in his trouser pocket, and my phone slipped from my hand to the floor.

At first, it felt like a dream. I could feel time and the wind standing still as he stared into my eyes.

Oh my God!

This must be a dream.

“Zosar?” I called in a faint voice, my eyes widening.
