Four days later.
I couldn’t sleep but preferred the chair beside Odette. Kyle checked on her time to time during the night, I have to begged him before he accepted Just before dawn, he leaned over to rest his head on the bed beside her hand. The rest of the time I sat watching them sleeping and listening to the beeps and clicks of machines.
It’s already two day and she hasn’t woke up. After several tutors from the military men Kennedy was handed over to corps. Only two persons were allow to watch over her and kyle insisted to stay with her, he wanted Odette to see him once she wakes up. Their bond is really strong.
Odette right fingers starts moving as she ran her hand leisurely on Kyle’s hair and opened her eyes slowly.
“Odette, baby are you awake? Hearing her name kyle sprang up immediately.
“Odette, oh my gosh! He held her right hand and smiled. I stood and rushed toward the intercom on the wall. I pressed the button. “The patient in this ward is awake.” I rushed back to them.
She kept staring at kyle but what surprised me is kyle was talking to her despite the fact that she wasn’t saying anything.

I held her hand and planted a soft kss on it, I ranked my hand through her hair and smiled lightly.
“Hallucinating kyle? I heard her voice in my heard.
“About you, I know you’re not going to leave me in this world. You would surely come back to me.” I said. “I felt terrified, I thought you’re going to leave me.” I added and hugged her cold hand.
“Of course not, I’m even more afraid that I won’t be seeing you again. I’m back now not for myself but for everyone. You look more handsome today but those eyesbags, don’t tell me you didn’t sleep?” Handsome? Like seriously? I lifted a brow.
“Why would I sleep when my woman needs me.” I said calmly.
“Why not but you should get some rest. You might be more comfortable if you climbed in here with me. Come here”
“Maybe later…
“Someone should tell me what’s happening? Mom butted in that was when the doctor came. He examined her before removing the oxygen… Then walked out.
“Mother?
“Finally someone noticed her mother, how are you feeling now child? You’re feeling any pain? She asked and caressed her face.
“Sorry about that mother, please can you excuse us? She sighed before nodding.
“Yeah, I’m gonna inform others that you’re awake.” She pecked her cheek and walked out.
“Now I can have you to myself and say whatever I want.” I drew my chair close to her. She wasn’t saying anything rather she chose to stared alone.
“Uh…huh, what’s wrong? Is there something on my face? I pouted.
“Kss me…” She blurted out and I was taken back for a second. “Just kss me already kyle.” She added.
“If that’s what you want.” I replied and leaned in, I took her lps and kssed her softly she didn’t respond rather she let me do it all. I nibbled on her lower lip before pulling away and sat back.
“I feel a whole lot better now, you’re a medicine I’m add1cted to. What if I don’t made it alive?
“In your destiny, it is written that I’m made for you and my name will appear in all your life even if we die. The first time you said I love you it was meant for me, there is nothing to be scared of, Odette we are made for each other.”
“But I’m seeing different thing kyle, I’m heart is weak. I’m soul is dying and I can’t feel myself anymore…
“Shush! You’re not going to leave me right?
“I don’t know.” She shrugged and tears rolled down her face.
“I want you to promise me, just thus once. Please Odette.” I wiped her tears with my thumb.
“What if I can’t. Kyle I want to talk to Akeela and Mariana could you please call them in?
“I’ll be right back.” I said and went to later came in with ’em.
“Odette.” They chorused and rushed to her side.
“What’s going to happen to me? She asked all of a sudden.
“When you’re unconscious, book of life vanished and I’m sure it’s back now. I’ll be leaving for Samar now. But Odette your hair?” I looked at her hair which started turning gray.
“What’s happening? Odette you hair is turning gray.” I uttered but she didn’t show any sign of concern.
“What’s gonna happen to kyle? Would he be all right even when I’m gone?
“Gone where? Hey it’s getting too much Odette, what’s are you saying?
“I guess he’ll be fine. We have to do something about your health first Odette. You’re pale.” Mariana exclaimed and steek her eyes close. She opened it after few minutes.
“I didn’t anything, why are you so powerful that no one dares intrude your future. Akeela, you have to go home now, you have to find an antidote first. We have to cure her first.”
“It’s okay, bye.” Akeela said Abe walked out then mom and Kendra entered.
“My goodness Odette.” Kendra planted ksses on her face and Odette grinned. “That btch should be in prison right now, I swear if I get a gun I’m going to kill Kennedy.”
“We have to leave this place now, Odette can’t stay here or else I don’t know what might happen.” Mariana said.
“Doctors won’t allow, is there something else you can do? I asked still holding her hand and watched her hair turning grey.
“No one can stop me from taking my child out of here.” Mom yelled for the first time. ” I’m gonna talk to the doctor now.” She said firmly and stepped out.
“Would she be okay? I asked Mariana.
“I pray.”
Fast forward?
Kendra braided Odette hair since she’s sitting on a wheelchair, I wheeled her out and helped her into the car. Others insisted they’re coming with us. We all used different car, Kendra,Odette and I in a car.
She rest her head on my shoulder and used my hand to support her. “I’m giving you hard time kyle, sometimes I think I don’t deserve you. How I wish you’ll leave me and choose someone else. I’m a mess.” She mumbled and her tears fell on my hand she was holding.
“Just shut up and I love you, that’s what matters. You’re just a perfect lady I ever seen.” I said and laid her head on my hand used my thumb to wiped her tears. “I always felt guilty whenever you cried. So please just stop it. Your value lies in my heart and I love you just the way you are.”
“Will you stop saying nonsense Odette, you’re not leaving me right? If you dies I die… You’re going to leave for me so shut up now.” Kendra scolded.
The car came to halt and we all alighted from the cars. Luna walked over and handled the wheelchair. “Let me help kyle.”
“Go ahead.” She wheeled Odette in.
“I want to kip, can you take me to my room now? She used her puppy eyes on Luna.
“Thank you everyone, but can…
“I know where you’re going mother, no one is leaving am I right? Tim said and they all nodded. “We know who she is and we’re going to accept her. She’s one of us and of course we have to be by her side. Come on everyone let’s go inside.”
Without waiting for her reply, they went in and took Odette along. I glanced at mom and smiled lightly before walking inside. Tim, Raymond, Harry, Scott and Owen started a conversation. Luna and Darlene should be in her room I thought.
“Would you like something? Mom asked.
“Not really.” Raymond replied.
“Yeah.” Scott added.
Darlene and Luna cane down.”kyle, Odette wanna talk to you.” Luna said. “Alone.” She added.
“Oh God, I’m really jealous.” Harry teased and they burst into delighted laughter.
I rolled my eyes and stalked to her room, she was rest in the bed staring at the ceilings.
“Move closer Kyle.” She mumbled. “Even if I’m gonna die I want you to be the last person I’m going to see.” I sat closed to her on the bed.
“Why are you talking as if you’re going to die?
“Because it’s what I’m seeing, nothing else.”
“Nothing is going to happen to you.” I assured and caressed her forehead. She shut her eyes and her hair completely turned gray.
“Odette? I called out but she wasn’t responding.
“Anyone out there? I called out.
?Akeela?
?Yes she returned to her soulmate. for now, forever even in the cold, they will surely return to each other.
I opened the last page. When flora hair turns gray get sunflower seed and use it to cure her. That’s the only antidote.
I ran out of dark room. “Hey is there any sunflower seed in the castle? I asked a maid.
“No ma’am.” She replied and walked out.
“I need to talk to Richard, I can only get the seed from him. It really scarce here if I can’t get it in the palace then Richard is the next person I can count on.
I transformed to bird and flew.
Fast forward?
“Where is she now?
“Human world, thanks for the seed I’ll be leaving now.”
“Waiting, can I come with you? For the last time I want to see her.”
“You can’t Richard, remember your father needs you now.”
“Okay bye.”
?Human world?
I appeared in her room, Kendra was sitting on the floor crying. Daisy just told like a statue.
“Am I late?
“She’s dead.” Daisy blurted out and I gasps.
“I don’t think so, kyle here… This is the antidote.” I gave him the seed and he shoved it in his month before placing his mouth on Odette’s. He leaned back and we all watched silently.
Her hair sparkled, fairies appeared on her body which last for a minute. Her tummy was a bit revealed and we saw how it beam. Kyle gently removed the bandage and saw that the scar wasn’t there anymore.
“Oh my ! They exclaimed.
“Am I hallucinating? Odette opened her eyes and sat up without anyone’s help.
“What are you doing in my room? Didn’t I tell you I want to be alone? She yawned.
“Are you feeling any pain?
“Nope, I’m okay now. Please excuse me.” She said we headed toward the door murmuring.
“Not you kyle, I want you to watch me while I sleep…
We yanked the door shut, Daisy can’t even come in between ’em. It’s obvious, they’re inseparable!
