I read the last page and closed the book.
“Wow! Grandma, so it has finished? Five years old Emma yawned in my arms.
“Yes honey, now let’s go to bed.” I planted a soft kss on her long hair and made her stand on her feet. She held the book of life close to her chest and walked up to the huge box, she placed it on it and ran her little hand on it which made the book beamed.
I was astonished when I found out that she lifted the book from the box, no one dares moreover a mere wtch or wzard cannot not even me have the power to lift the book but my little Ashely did. She’s just a replica of her mother. Long hair, amazing voice and beautiful. She insisted I read her the book, she wanted to know more about her parent.
“I’ll never get tired of this book grandma, odette is really a strong woman… But grandma I’m strong too right? She said and stretched her hands forward gestured me to carry her up.
“Of course yes honey, you’re my princess.” I carried her and headed out.
“Those two never stopped acting like a newly couple, sometimes they forgot about me and I’m always jealous.” She put on her puppy eyes and blinked several.
“I’m taking you home tomorrow, it’s almost three days you’ve been leaving here. You have to go home.” She patted her long dark lashes and pouted Ber lips.
“No, you told me no one can come in between them so can I? Let ’em be grandma moreover I’m pretty sure they’ve forgot about me, sure a wicked parent. But I love them.” She mumbled and wrapped her hands around my neck.
“Of course not, remember you’re their angel…
“I know, I know, and they’re my guardian. Remember Fredrick is coming over tomorrow, we are gonna play together and have fun.” She threw her little hands in the air.
Fred’s Kendra’s and Richard only son, well it’s a whole long story. I’m still surprised how they fell in love probably Richard chose her because of Odette. Kendra finally made her dream come true. Living here is part of her dream and I’m happy for her.
“You ain’t saying anything old woman.” Ashely jolt me out of my thought as I entered my room.
“Oh,” I mumbled feebly.
“It’ll be my bedtime story as from today. I love listening to their story but it’s emotional tho.” I laid her in the bed and covered her with the duvet.
“Really?
“Yeah really, and Luna is quite amazing. She’ll forever be my aunt, she still loved Odette even when she quit singing” She adjusted her position in the bed.
“You talk too much little one, go to sleep angel. Good night, good night, good night.” I sang and planted a soft kss on her forehead. She shut her eyes and slept off.
“Ah, what a troublesome child, Odette should come for you.” I said.
“I heard you grandma but trust me, I’m staying here forever.” She said with her eyes closed. I sighed and sat before the mirror.
Her power is beyond imagination, when Odette gave birth to her, Odette power got even more stronger than before that I thought no one can be like her but no, Ashley was, she’s just like Odette even I’m kind of confused. She more powerful from the start, if you say something or not she’s going to read your mind.
I snapped my fingers and Odette appeared in the mirror.
“Hello mother. How’s Ashely?
“She’s…
“You’re forgiven Odette, guess what? Grandmother told me a secret you wanna know? Ashley butted in.
“Not again little girl, don’t make a sound now go back to sleep now before I make you.” I scolded even I knew power doesn’t work on her too. She rolled her eyes and slumped to the bed.
“I missed her mother, can you convince her to come home?
“She doesn’t want to, I’m still gonna try. How’s Kyle?
“Kyle’s good.” She said as she loosen her hair.
“Guess what? Ashley was able to lifted book of life from the box, I was devastated Odette.”
“She’s a mysterious girl, sometimes I wondered if I’m really her birth mother. I freaked out when she used her power to switched off all lights in the mansion, she’s really scary despite her age. Sometimes she used her power on our bodyguards too”
“That makes her your child.” I replied.
“A child I don’t know.” She replied with nonchalant shrugs. “Kyle is here, good night mother and Ashely, mummy missed you like crazy please come home and I love you.” She yelled and shut the vision.
“I love you too Odette.” Ashely mumbled in her sleep. I walked over and slept beside her. “Good night.”

I stood and walked up to kyle that came out of the closet already dressed up in his pyjamas.
“Let’s sleep honey.” He kssed my forehead. “Why ain’t you saying anything? I added when he refused to say something. He leaned in and took my l1ps in his, he shoved something sweet in my mouth.
“Oh what’s this?
“Candy.” He replied and sat on a single couch while I squatted beside him.
“Isn’t that amazing to stare at your pretty face, you look more beautiful tonight.”
“I’m flattered, have I told you that you’re the most handsome man I ever seen?
“And have I told you how amazing and special you are?
“Not today kyle, thank your spirit that your wtch isn’t home. Ashely would be like, haven’t I told you to stop acting like a new couple Odette and kyle ?.” I said in Ashely voice and kyle burst into delighted laughter.
But I’m miss her…
“She isn’t ready to come home. She calls you daddy but find it hard to call me mummy. She said, Odette one day I’m gonna call you mother not Odette, that day would be when you’re pregnant with my little brother.” I sighed and rest my head on kyle shoulder.
“Are you jealous? Kyle mocked and I hit him playfully.
“Of course I’m jealous, I doubt her love for me. She loves you most.”
“That’s a stinky lie love, she loves us not me. What if we give her what she always wanted? Kyle smirked .
“Don’t even think about it kyle, I don’t want another child. Ashely is the boss and you think I can tolerate another child. I’m still using pill.” I said and tried to move away from him but he held me back, he pulled me closer and I fell on his l.ap.
“No today… He whispered in my ear and I shivered. He smirked because he noticed the effect he has on me.
“What? I widened and he removed my nightdress jacket. “Let it go kyle, Ashely is enough I can tolerate another child please baby.” I used my puppy eyes that I knew he can resist but it didn’t work on him today.
He laid me on the bed gently and slumped beside without touching me. I lifted a brow.
“What was that for? I asked and sat up.
“Nothing just wanna tease you, come here let’s sleep it’s getting late already.” He mumbled and yawned.
“Thank goodness I’m not that hard or else kyle I’m going to rape you.” I moved I into his arms and he hugged me to himself.
Is he sleeping? I asked myself when I didn’t hear his voice.
“Sleep Odette.” He muttered in a sleepy tone and I nodded.

Someone drew the curtains and sun ray flashed on my eyes.
“Ah.” I groaned silently, kyle’s strong arms were still around my body so who the h.ell is in my room.
“See who’s awake. Good morning Odette.”
“Ashely? Puzzled, I sat up and stared at her confusing.
“Good morning daddy.” She jumped on kyle. He opened his eyes slowly.
“What are you doing here?
“You don’t want me here? well I slept in thus mansion, grandma opened the portal immediately you shut the vision.”
“Why? I asked.
“Because I asked her to. So Odette are you pregnant? With my baby brother right? I nodded even though I knew what would be her respond.
“You’re lying Odette but I’m still gonna call you mother for now. Anel is coming over to pick me up, see you.” She headed out.
“What a relief? I sighed.
“Are you afraid?
“Of course I am afraid of the thing inside her.” I replied kyle and stood up from the bed. “You should talk to her, she listens to you… I don’t want her to return to Samar.I missed her.” I said to kyle.
“Is that what you want?
“Yeah.”
“It’s okay I’m gonna do that.”

That little girl was pain, I don’t know what to do with her anymore. Can you believe what she did. She actually asked me to open the portal for but I don’t have a choice rather than open it.
“Hello mother.” I heard Kendra voice and I abruptly turned.
“Hey child, how are you? We huge briefly.
“Where is Ashely?
“Well she has left last night and I don’t know when she’s coming back.”
“Oh, she’s the reason why am here tho, are you going somewhere?

“Okay I’ll be waiting at the courtroom.” She said and walked away.
I met Akeela on the way.
“Going somewhere? I asked her.
“She opened the door to the room and we entered. We walked up to the book that kept glittering.
“Ashely carried this book yesterday and I have to tell her everything she needs to know.” I divulged.
“See did what? How come? Oh my! She exclaims and opened the first chapter but something different was written on it.
“The new flora.” I widened in shock.
“No Ashely isn’t flora, she’s Odette shadow.” Akeela replied and opened the book.
? she’s a shadow to her family, their only hope. She’s someone you shouldn’t mess with. Everything about her is different.

OH MY GOSH! WE DID IT. AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT FINDS ASHELY JOURNEY A BIT INTERESTING? She’s even more stronger just like her mother. Don’t you think kyle and Odette are acting like tom and jerry?
