Episode 33
I pulled myself together and walked into the office.
For a moment, I felt relieved at the look of the office and vanilla scented air refresher.
It seemed like I had walked into a living room due to how spacious it was.
It was way too exotic to describe and I gaped around fool*shly.
I could see a clear view of the buildings around the building I was in as the walls were see through.
No doubt, Poshville High isn’t just a name, everything is so great as it’s name.
No sooner,the feeling of fear overshadowed me when the chair behind the desk moved and I turned to see a lady sitting down but her back was against me, so was the chair and she sat down.
“Diana Arlo.” Her voice resounded in my ear.
It was so strict and gave me the chills.
It’s officially over.
“I have heard alot about you, so much.” She began with a serious tone and I tried to see her face but couldn’t.
Her hair was neatly packed in a firm bun complimenting her black suit.
I gulped and glanced at her name laying on the table.
Principal Mary K.R…
Oh heavens!
Corriene must have said alot about me to her.
No doubt am leaving the school immediately.
“Am so sorry Principal. I didn’t mean to do all that happened. It was a silly mistake.
Please don’t expel me, I would change.” I suddenly began to apologize as my eyes grew moist and her chuckle surprised me.
“Who said you are getting expelled Ms. Arlo?” She sneered and I furrowed my brows.
“You are not?” I asked in a hushed tone and she sighed.
“Pick up the brown envelope on the desk and check it content.”
She ordered and I reluctantly picked up the envelope and opened it.
“In it contains the rules you would have to follow in order to become the face of this reputable school.
Being the face of Poshville High means being the president.” She explained and I gasped staring at her back in shock.
“Tho, you are going to be the assistant. You have a superior.
Now, I know you would be wondering why the president isn’t coming from the richer kids. Well…it’s a custom that the female must be from the lower side.
Despite that, l find your results very impressive.
You were amongst the top ten in the entire Grade 11 and the third in class A.
I honestly can’t let an intelligent student like you go without being noticed so there is a file having the rules and other information you would be needing, report to me by Monday. You are dismissed.” She concluded.
“Thank you.” I muttered and left feeling so free and high.
At least, I am not getting expelled. What other bad thing could happen??

I kept the envelope in my locker and hurried for my chemistry class as I had only two minutes to get there.
I felt super excited.
I know I did well in my exams but I didn’t have a fixed position.
I actually came third in the entire class A!
I really wonder who came first and second.
And also,why didn’t she pick Corriene instead?
Anyways, Corriene is super rich, maybe that’s why.
Classes went on well and during recess, I broke the news to my friends who were so happy for me.
“Finally! I will have a roomie as a president.” Delia boasted and I chuckled.
“Relax babe. I haven’t signed the agreement yet.” I said and she scoffed.
“What the h*ll do you need that for? You are a perfect fit for the position.” Abigail chipped in and I flushed.
“And it’s more than best to avoid Ryan more to avoid getting shamed.” Denise forewarned and I gulped heavily as the other girls agreed.
“Did you really have to bring it up? Don’t ruin the valentine moment please.” I groaned and they shrugged as we faced our snacks.
I am so eager to tell Aunt Kyra about this.
She would be so happy!
