CHAPTER 48
When he needed me the most no matter how important I had to do something Eric was more important than that.
We always had each other’s back and we knew when we weren’t happy. We never hide anything from each other
But now I feel like I failed as his best friend.
I shouldn’t have gone on that business trip, I should have stayed and helped Nyx understand but when Eric needed me the most I wasn’t there.
What type of a best friend I am.
I don’t know if I should be angry at myself or Nyx .
Right now Eric is more important, I can’t do anything without him here.
I tried to calm down but I wasn’t.
I stared at the door waiting for the doctor to give me good news about Eric.
I should have followed him to where he was but I thought giving him space to heal his broken heart was what was best at that time.
I thought he needed time to rethink the decision of leaving Nyx with Ryder.
Gosh, I’m so stupid.
I was pacing around when the door opened and the doctor came out.
I quickly rushed to him “is Eric okay, how’s he?”
The doctor looked at me without saying anything.
Ohh God, I hope it’s not what I’m thinking
“D..did.. e..r..er..ic…
“Mr MacFarlane , Eric is out of danger now” I took a deep breath but that was only a short period of time after hearing the next word.
“But..
I quickly looked up my hands were back shaking
“But he’s in a coma and we don’t know when he’s going to wake up”.
That was all it took as I froze in a spot.
Eric in coma ,
What will happen to me?
I can’t live without him by my side.
I didn’t even realize that I was having a panic attack.
My knees became weak as I fell on the floor struggling to breath.
I didn’t even hear what the doctor was saying; the only thing I was hearing was my heart beat.
The last thing I saw before passing out was Eric lying unconscious in his room with so many wires attached to him.

Nyx lothario
I woke up feeling pain in my head.
I opened my eyes slowly looking at my surroundings. I was in a dark room, the floor was cold .
How did I get there?
Then what happened in the car came crashing hard.
I’m so dumb, I should have let Eric explain.
Ryder was the culprit all along , and I blamed it all on Eric calling him a mon.ster and a murderer
I ignored the hurt on his face.
I’m an id!ot.
Tears started to flow from my eyes.
“Finally you’re awake”.
Suddenly the light went up and I saw Ryder sitting on a metal chair smirking at me.
“Nyx, you’re the most foolish person I’ve ever met even Ariel wasn’t foolish like you.
Believing someone you just met , that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever come around.
