Episode 10

?At a park ?

Grace and Ariel was sitting side by side on a bench. As usual the park was busy with kids running around, some were holding balloons while others were with one toy or the other.

Some were playing with their parents, those are kids below one year old. Grace had a smile on her face as she watched the scene.

“So have you come to a decision yet?” Ariel asked

” Yes first lady” she answered

Note: I have decided to use third person’s POV

“Positive or negative?” She asked

“Positive ma’am” Grace answered

” Just as I expected” she smiled before wearing her sunglasses, she stood up and held her bag. “I will send for you soon” she said and walked away.

Grace watched her walk away until she was out of view, she still had thirty minutes before resuming her work so she didn’t bother to leave, she just watched the kids.

Monica was walking towards the principal’s office, she has just sent for her.

“Ma’am” she call as she knock on the door

“Come in” she heard the lady’s voice and opened the door

“You sent for me” Monica said and the Principal who goes by the name Janiece pointed at a boy who was sited on the chair.

Monica turned to look at the demi god, yes a demi god, his hair was gel making him look like a baby. His shirt was not properly buttoned, just too buttons were loose making him look like a bad boy and he had this cold look but Monica cared less and returned her gaze to the principal.

“He is a transfer student from China, he is in your class, so as the class vice president show him around” Janiece said

” Sure ma’am” Monica said and turn to the new guy.

” My name is Monica and I am the vice president of our class, I will show you around” she said

” Felix Winter” he said standing up, he turned to the Janiece. “Thanks ma’am”

“You are welcome” Janiece said and Monica walked out of the office with Felix behind her.

After few minutes of walk, Monica stopped in front of a class and turn to Felix. “This is our class, get an empty chair to sit” she said and walked into the class.

Felix followed and the girls started drooling, shouting on top of their voices, some were asking his name while others were trying to touch him but they didn’t.

Tara quickly rush to Monica and sat beside her. “Monica” she tapped her

“What?” Monica who was engrossed in her book asked

“Who’s the new guy?” Tara asked

“A transfer student” she answered

“What’s his name?” Tara asked

” Felix” she answered

” Do you have his number? ” Tara asked and Monica raised her head to stare at her.

” Have done dignity Tara, I met him few minutes ago” she said

“I was just asking” Tara pout

” Good morning class” their history teacher walked in and everywhere went silent

“Morning sir” the students chroused and Tara went back to her sit.

“I can see a new face” he said smiling at Felix who didn’t even budge. “Mind introducing yourself?”

Felix stood up “Felix Winter” he introduced

” Your voice sure sounds like winter” s girl said and everyone laughed

” Welcome to sunshine high school” he said

“Thank you sir but I don’t like back sit” he said

” Why are you sitting there then? ” He asked

” Because a girl told me to sit at any available seat I find” he said and Monica turn to glare at him

” So where will you like to sit? ” The teacher asked

” Beside me” Tara said

” Shut up Tara” the teacher scolded and everyone laughed

” Beside Monica” he said and everyone gasp

” Okay leo go and sit where Felix is sitting, Felix you can sit beside Monica” he said and they obeyed.

?At Grace’s house ?

“Can you believe his gut? He even sat with me during lunch saying he isn’t used to anyone” Monica explained to Grace everything that happened in school

“Then ask him to make friends” Grace suggested as she add salt to what she is preparing

“I did but he told me he is not good at making friends” she replied

“Try to get use to him” Grace said

” I don’t want to, he is just too annoying, he keeps talking in class and I could not concentrate and when I report can you guess what the teacher said?” Monica stopped and grace shook her head

” He said I have a crush on him, why will I have a crush on someone I don’t even know” she said finding it hard to believe

” Maybe it is love at first sight” Grace said

” You are not helping!” Monica groaned

“During dinner I will have to separate your saliva from the food. I believe your saliva is more than the initial water” Maria said walking into the kitchen

” Shut up Maria” Monica snapped

“Are you done washing your uniform? ” Grace ask Maria

” Yes”

” Your homework? ”

” Yes” she answered

“Monica go and set the table dinner is done” Grace said and she walked out of the kitchen with few plates in her hand

“Is April back?” Grace asked

“No” Maria answered

“Huh? Where is she?” Grace asked no one as she stared outside through the window of the kitchen.

The next morning

“Good morning” Grace greeted already dressed for work.

April groaned as she sit up.” Morning”

” You look tired” Grace said still not moving from the spot she is standing

” Yeah I am tired” she admit

“You didn’t have dinner yesterday and the twins said you weren’t at home when they returned. I waited for you yesterday night too but I guess you return while I was asleep” Grace said

” Yeah I saw your sleeping on the couch” she said

” So mind telling me where you were? “She asked.

April gave it a quick thought before answering. “At work”

“Work?” She asked and April nodded “what type of work makes you come home at midnight? ”

” You sound like a nagging husband” April said standing up

” Don’t change the topic April, this is not funny” Grace said

” I am not trying to change the topic I am just stating the fact, and you should relax. My job requires me to stay late just like yours requires you to leave the house” she said walking into the bathroom.

Grace walked closer and stood by the door watching her wash her face. “Really? What type of job are you doing?”

“Aren’t you late for work?” April ask getting her toothbrush.

” My family is important” she said

” Just stop it Grace, you are making me feel like your little sister” April snapped

Yeah, there she goes again with her quick temper, Grace shut her eyes and took a deep breath.

“Here” she dropped some cash on her bed “for the twins lunch, I hope they meet you at home” She said

” And what is that suppose to mean?” April asked walking out of the bathroom

” Nothing, breakfast is on the table, I love you” she said and hug her before walked out of the room.

April locked the door to her room and jump on the bed with the toothbrush still in her mouth.

Grace was on her way to the agency when she received a text message from Ariel.

*Let’s meet*

She sigh and dropped the phone in her little bag. Her none argument with her sister has made her sad.

Grace sat in front of Ariel and Blair who has been talking about something that she doesn’t understand ever since she got there.

They are currently in a shopping mall, in a VIP section to be precise

Here is the deal. Ariel said as she crossed her leg on the couch she’s sitting on.

She countined. You will pretend to be me while I travel out of the country, here. She threw a rubber face at her.

You are going to wear that whenever you are going out, that way you will have my face.

That means I will be living in the white house (president’s house)? She asked

Yes, you will do my duty you will have access to everything that belongs to me and have the same power as me. Ariel explained further

But why are you leaving? Grace asked

You don’t get to ask me questions. She snapped

Grace nodded as a sign that she understands.

Your elder sister and other siblings will be looked after. Their tuition fees will be paid and you can visit them once in a while but be careful on one must know about this except those that are in this room. She warned and she nodded.

I will pretend to be the president’s wife. She said to herself out loud

Yes you will pretend to be the president wife. Ariel nodded. “Blair is the Chief of maids, she will put you through in everything you need to know”

Blair smile at Grace who nodded. ” By tomorrow afternoon you will began your work and I will send the outfit I will be wearing tommorow to your house so when you resume there won’t be any suspicion” Ariel said
