A WEEK LATER
“Isobel! Isobel! He is here” James called as he ran towards her.
“Who is here?”Isobel asked wondering who he was talking about.
“Your fiance. Oliver is here”James said.
“Really! Where is he?” She asked as she dropped the flowers she was arranging.
“The jet just dropped him off on the hotel rooftop and he will be…..”James didn’t get to complete his words because Isobel ran past him heading to the elevator.
It’s been a week since she had last seen Oliver. She had arrived on the island to be treated with a lot of respect by his staff.
She had once been to the island for her wedding which didn’t work out and now she has returned once again to get married to Oliver.
The marriage stuff still got her worried but she felt calm about it. Oliver had promised to protect her and knowing that he will keep to his promise made her feel calm.
She had done her own digging and had found out more about him. He had acquired the Island a year ago and had help the islanders with their needs.
He had created job for the jobless and had helped them with money and other things they need.
Wherever she went to, they all sang praises of him and just knowing that made her see him In another way.
Once she gets out of Marco clutches. She will find a way to repay him for everything he has done for her.
The elevator door opened and she got out of it. She didn’t know why she was this excited about Oliver arrival.
Maybe its all due to the waiting. She thought as she opened the door that led to the building roof top.
She had a smile on her face when she saw him but that smile disappeared when she saw the person accompanying him.
He had lied to her. He had told her that she will be safe and like a fool she had trusted him not knowing that he would be the one to lead Marco to her.
Isobel stood rooted to her spot as both men walk towards her.
Beaming a smile at her. Oliver ran the rest of the distance that separated them to hug her.
Isobel stood stiff in his arms and she would have moved away from him if he hadn’t been holding her tight.
“Play along okay” he whispered in her ear as he let her go.
She turned questioning gaze towards him. Wondering what he meant but she never got the chance to ask because he turned towards Marco who was staring at her with so much surprise.
“She’s the one Marco”Oliver said softly and both Isobel and Marco turned to stare at him.
“She’s the girl am getting married to” Oliver told him.
“Isobel darling. Meet Marco Hildalgo”Oliver added introducing them and remembering what he whispered at her a while ago. She decided to do as she was told.
“Nice to meet you Mr Hildalgo” she said softly and Marco stared at her for a while before answering.
“Nice meeting you too”He said now starring at Oliver.
What’s happening? Why is Marco pretending not to know her and what game is Oliver playing?
“Welcome Oliver”James intrusion got rid of the hostile atmosphere around them.
“Hello James. I would like you to take Mr Hildalgo to the best suite available. He is a very important investor and also a great guest of mine”Oliver said to James.
“I would have loved to take you there myself but as you can see am just reuniting with my Fiancee. We both have so much to do together. You wouldn’t mind us being excused right?” Oliver asked.
“I wouldn’t”Marco forced out a reply and immediately James ordered the two bellboy he had brought with him to take Marco bag and went on in taking Marco to his suite.
