THE ISLAND BRIDE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
As soon as they were out of sight. Isobel pulled away from Oliver.
“Just what are you doing?”She asked.
“I will explain but I can’t do it here. Let’s go to your room “Oliver said but she moved away from him before he could touch her.
“Am not going anywhere. You lied to me! You lied and fooled me into coming here and fool that I was, I trusted you and…..what are you doing!”She yelled when he suddenly walked the few pace that separated them and carried her in his arms.
“Before you make assumption and ruin my plans. You will listen to me “Oliver stated firmly and knowing when to shut it, Isobel kept quiet.
Wrapping her arms around him while he carried her back to the elevator.
As soon as he got to her suite. He put her down while he went to get a drink.
“Tell me what is going on? Why did you bring Marco here?” Isobel asked as she waited for an explanation.
“A week ago. I met Marco through my dad. Turns out that my father have been working with Marco for a while”
“If he has been working with Marco then am not safe. I have to leave!”Isobel said
“Relax! I wouldn’t have brought him here if I didnt have something up my sleeve” Oliver replied.
“Wanting to confront Marco. I asked if he knew you and his answer was that he didn’t”
“Really? Did he say that?”She asked and Oliver nodded.
“I even showed him a picture of you and he said the same thing”
“But that’s impossible. Why would he say that? You don’t think am lying right?”Isobel asked.
“I know that you are saying the truth and that’s why I decided to use his lie against him”
“I told him that am getting married and invited him over for the wedding”Oliver stated.
“Are you ¢razy! That’s the worst decision ever!”She yelled at him.
“It isn’t. I did invite him but I never told him the name of the bride nor who she is.
So seeing you here is a shock to him and discovering that it’s you am getting married to is much more shocking.
He already denied knowing you, so he wouldn’t act like he do and that’s why he played along a while ago. Acting like it was your first meeting”
“So am I to feel safe ?”
“You shouldn’t. This is the time we’ve got to put our act together” Oliver said as he moved towards the window.
“What act?”Isobel asked.
“Our marriage. I know it’s a pretence but while Marco is around. We’ve got to make it look real. I once told you that Marco believes you as pure bride.
That will change when he gets to see us together. His obsession and lust will surely dissolve.
I spent the whole week assessing him. Marco will surely leave you in peace if we show him how happy and mad we are for each other.
Now it’s your call. I won’t force you into something you don’t want.
If your willing to go with it then you will have to follow my lead but if you won’t.
I will help you leave the island and set you up somewhere far away. What do you say?” Oliver asked waiting for a response
The thought of leaving the island she founds enchanting made her sad and somehow the thought of leaving Oliver also got her feeling sad. Though she wondered why.
If she leaves there is a guarantee that Marco will find her and force her to be with him but If she stays and do as Oliver says.
She will earn Marco hatred and will be free from him for good.
“If it’s hard for you to decide now. You can tell me…..”
“No! Have made my decision”She cried out.
“And what will that decision be?”Oliver asked.
“I choose to stay with you. Let’s get married and work on your plan”She told him softly.
“If that is so why don’t we put it to test ” Oliver said.
“Put what to test?”She asked as he moved towards her.
Pulling her out of the chair she was sitted into his arms.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“Checking if we are compatible” He replied before kssing her on the lips.
