Chapter Seven
The man in my dreams
George furrowed his eyebrows and folded his arm.
“Did she lie to you guys about her job?”
“Oh yes, she did”
“I can take you to her so that…”
“Oh no, never mind. I’ll just wait drop my bag in your car. Pick my up at the club by midnight” she said and left.
“Erica!” He yelled but she didn’t stop.
He sighed and walked back to his desk.
He couldn’t believe that his sister will be getting more pay that him.
He chuckled and continued working.

Erica went to the Cafe and found her boss.
He’s always around at noon.
“Hello sir”
“Oh Erica. I haven’t seen you for a long time now”
“Yeah boss. I wanted to give you this” she said and gave him the letter.
His boss stared at the envelope and stared back at her.
“What’s this?” He asked.
“I want to resign” she said.
“What?”
“Yeah, what?” Ava asked as she appeared out of nowhere.
“I got a job somewhere else. A good job” she said.
“Fine, if anything is good for you then I’m happy” her boss said.
Erica smiled.
“I’ll get you your monthly pay” he said
“Sure sir” she replied and watched as her boss leave.
She went to sit on the counter with Ava.
Ava looked sad.
“Don’t worry, I’ll visit you here everyday”
“How should I believe you?” She asked with a sad voice.
Erica smiled.
“I have something to tell you”
“Which is?”
“I think I’ve found the man in my dreams”
Ava shot her eyes wide open and draw her head closer to her.
“What?”
“Yes. He is my boss. But I don’t want to believe it yet. He look just like him and do you know what’s more unbelievable?”
“Tell me, what?”
“I think he is a twin. My boss is a twin. The man in my dreams could be one of them” she said.
Ava laughed.
“Woah! This is so fascinating” she said.
“It is so strange and weird. Not fascinating. I have one special thing to tell you but I’ll make it tonight. Meet me at the club. I’m also going to resign from that” she said.
“Are you going to the company tomorrow?”
“Yeah, my boss asked me to. I should be early as 9a.m” she replied.
Ava nodded.
“Fine, see you at the club then”
Erica smiled and walked out of the company.
She spent all her money buying some clothes.
She couldn’t believe that she’s gotten a real job after so long.
She grabbed her bags and head to the club.
Erica and her lier friend has been waiting for her.
She waved at them before going to meet her boss.
“Why is Erica do happy?” Olivia frowned.
“She has gotten a job at the same company you work in. You both can see each other everyday”
“A job? What?” She murmured.
“Isn’t it cool? You working as an assistant manager while she, the assistant CEO. My two friends left me” Ava said and pretended to cry.
Olivia wasn’t concerned about what Ava was saying.
She couldn’t believe that Erica would work in the same company as her.
“Oh no, she would find out that I’m not an assistant but a mere cleaner” she squeezed her face.
Erica walked back to her friends and sat with them.
“Hey Ava, what’s up Olivia?”
“Hey girl, I see you are getting ready for your new job. Buying some sxy clothes huh?”
“Cut it out Ava. I’m to work for my boss not to se..duce him” Erica said, blushing.
“At least, you can finally buy a phone and call me, chat with me and… Above all become a social media freak like me. I just had three hundred thousand followers on instagram, can’t wait for it to reach five hundred”
“You are right. I should get a phone. I’ll buy one next month” she said.
Ava sIapped her forehead.
“Oh, ancient Erica”
“So, Olivia how’s your job?”
“It’s going smoothly” she replied, not wanting to stare at her.
“I see. You are cleaning off the smooth spot huh?” Erica asked, referring to her cleaning job.
Olivia stared at her.
“What are you talking about?”
“What is it again that you are working as? An assistant manager or an assistant cleaner?”
“Very funny Erica. She’s working as an assistant manager. Did you forget?”
“Well, all that was a lie. She is just a cleaner in the company” Erica said angrily.
“What? That’s not true,right Olivia?”
Olivia shot stared at Erica. She wished she could strangle her to death.
“Yeah, I’m a cleaner” she said slowly.
“Then, why did you lie to me? To us?” Ava yelled.
“I didn’t want you guys to be disappointed at me” she said slowly.
“That doesn’t count. We are your friends. Friends share happiness together, pain and secret. You don’t have to lie to us because one day, we would find out what you are hiding from us” Erica said.
“I’m sorry guys. I promise it won’t happen again” she said.
Ava smiled and hugged them both.
“You two are my closest and best friend. Don’t let me down”
Olivia still want to strangle Erica.
She just glared at her as Ava hugged them both.

Erica left to his brother’s house in his car.
“Wow!” She said with her eyes and mouth opened.
“Welcome to my house lil sis” he said and dropped his car key on the table.
“It’s very beautiful. I love it” she said.
“Thank you. Your room is the second by the right” he said.
“Sure” she said and walked upstairs with her shopping bag with her hand.
Erica opened the door and saw the room. It was very beautiful.
She threw herself on the bed.
“I can’t wait to sleep in peace” she said.
She stood up after some minutes and had a warm bath.
She loved her new room even if she just got here.
It had a make up table and a huge wardrobe.
Everything was just complete in the room.
Her bed was huge not like her old bed.
She wore her pyjamas and laid on the bed

Erica got up early and make breakfast for her and her brother.
He ate quickly and washed the dishes.
“Go get ready for work. I’ll drive you” he said.
“Thanks bro” she rushed her food and washed the dishes.

Erica got to the company with George.
She stood with her short heels and nice flower short gown.
She left her hair hanging on her shoulders.
“How do I look George?”
“Good!” He replied giving her a thumbs up.
She smiled and held her shoulder bag tight.
“See you later then” she said and walked into the company.
She waved at the receptionist and found her way up.
She would never make a mistake of entering Kelvin’s office again.
She just increased her pace and knocked the left door.
“The door is open!”
She twisted the handle and pushed herself into the office.
“Good morning sir” she greeted and bowed her hair a little.
Her long her covered half of her face.
As she packed it to the back of her ear, Calvin raised his head and stared at her.
His eyes drove round her body. He swallowed hard and brought himself back to reality.
“Oh, you’re here already. It’s 8:45. You are early, nice!” He said smiling.
“Yes sir” Erica said sucking her lips in.
“I have something for you for your punctuality” he said.
Erica furrowed her eyebrows waiting to see what he was bringing out from his drawer.
It was inside a bag.
“Here!” He said and pointed it at her.
She walked towards him and collected the bag.
“Thank you sir” she said.
“There’s your desk, if there’s any work for you, I’ll let you know”
Erica turned and saw the little part of his office has being painted pink with a small desk and a laptop on it.
She walked towards it.
She smiled at sat on her twirling chair.
A wow escaped her lips.
She opened the bag and saw what was inside.
“Oh my goodness, a phone?” She murmured.
