“What guy?” Neil faked a smile as he turned to face Mrs. Zaragoza whose gaze was still on the TV.

“The d.ead guy,” she pointed at the TV. “That guy is a suspect,” Nanny Gloria blurted and Neil wished he could strangle her.

“Suspect?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked as she turned to face Nanny Gloria.

“Yes, when you went missing in the hospital that guy was the suspect,” she replied.

“Missing? Hospital? What are you talking about?” Mrs. Zaragoza inquired confusedly, she was told a different story when she woke up.

“After the surgery, you went missing from the hospital, Romina almost lost her mind, and the only person she thought could do that was the fake guy Neil brought home to pretend as Mr. Zaragoza,” Nanny Gloria explained.

If looks could kll the nanny Gloria’s body would be decaying at the moment, Mrs. Zaragoza turned to look at Neil.

“You said you took care of me, you said Romina was after me. That guy,” she pointed at the TV. “Was with you when I woke up, why will you be with him of all people? Why do you need him to pretend to be your dad?” Mrs? Zaragoza asked.

“Calm down mom,” He tried to touch her but nanny Gloria snapped at him.

“Stop lying you bstard! She is not your mother, you are only taking advantage of the fact that she lost her memories.”

“Why does everyone keep repeating this? Why does it feel like the truth?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked out of confusion.

“It is not the truth, they are just trying to create a bridge between us,” he uttered in defense.

“There has always been a bridge between you two, you were never mother and son because he is nothing but your illegitimate son,” Nanny Gloria rushed her words breathing heavily.

“You have been lying to me?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked on the verge of tears.

“No, I would never lie to you, don’t listen to her she is Romina’s maid. She is just following orders, I am your son you should believe that and nothing else,” he tried to be convincing but it was too late.

Mrs. Zaragoza started doubting him a long time ago, even before she sent Romina out of the mansion.

She sent Romina away so she would catch him red-handed, all she was waiting for was an opportunity.

And here is the long-awaited opportunity, she now has all she needed to get rid of him. However, she is going to act wisely.

“Why is it your word against theirs, why is there evidence in their favor and not in yours? Who are you, Neil? What do you want?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked and her voice came out softly.

Neil bit his lips as he tightened his fist, he wished he could end the both of them but that would only make things worse.

“I see you have made your decision, you are going to choose this low life,” he pointed at Nanny Gloria with disgust written on his face. “Over your son?” He asked in disappointment

“I don’t think I believe the fact that you are my son anymore,” she replied. “You think Romina is your daughter?” He asked with a scoff.

“I don’t,” she replied and he smiled secretly. “But I know that you don’t belong here.”

“I am going to work, I hope you will be in your right senses when I return,” he said and left, he was not dressed for work but he had plans.

“Ma’am,” Nanny Gloria called. “I want to be alone,” she requested. “Please.”

Nanny Gloria was happy she could help but was worried about what Mrs. Zaragoza would do to herself when she remembers everything.

She would hate herself for throwing Romina out and siding with Neil, Nanny Gloria turned around and saw her mutter some words to herself.

In Nicole’s apartment, she was getting ready for work when the doorbell rang.

She furrowed her brows since she was not expecting anyone. She reluctantly went to the door and checked the unexpected visitor from the peephole.

“Steve?” She called in astonishment as she opened the door. “Why are you here so early?” She inquired as he walked into the apartment.

“I have something,” he replied getting his laptop from the bag he was carrying.

“Why are you all shaky? Were you caught?” She asked. “I won’t be alive if I was,” he replied and insert his flash drive.

“What do you have?” Nicole asked leaning on the wall. “Did you see the news?” Steve asked with his gaze on the laptop.

“If it is about the stupid guy that worked with my brother then yes,” she replied.

“You knew him?” Steve stopped pressing his laptop and spared him a glance

“Yeah, saw him once, why?” Nicole asked. “Come here,” he gestured at her and she reluctantly moved closer.

It was a video of Neil carrying the dead body out of the house, to his car until he dumped him where he was found.

“This is huge, good job,” she compliments him. “What do we do?” Steve asked

“Send it anonymously to Romina,” she replied. “Why anonymous?” He asked quietly down.

“Aww,” Nicole pouted. “You want her to know you did the job? Well you are free to do that, just say hello to the grave,” she smiled

“You are just like your brother,” he mumbled angrily. “I am nothing like Neil but we do have some traits in common,” she replied with a sad expression.

Steve sent the video to Romina after creating an anonymous account.

“If your brother is capable of klling someone what more do you think he is capable of?” Steve asked.

“He is capable of all sorts of evil,” she replied. “You should be careful, or you might be next if you are caught.”

“Won’t you help me?” He asked. “He doesn’t call before he does it,” she replied and he chuckled

“It’s not a joke,” she said. “Strangely, I find it funny,” he replied smiling.

Nicole stared at him as if he had lost it but after a few seconds she joined him and they started laughing together.

“You are funny,” Nicole said and laughed harder.

A few minutes later their laughter died down, “You don’t deserve to die, I will protect you from my brother I promise,” she uttered sincerely.

“Thanks,” he muttered and they stared at each other, Nicole wanted to break the contact but she found it hard to stare away.

“I should get going it seemed like you are heading somewhere,” Steve said standing, he closed his laptop and kept it in his bag.

“Okay, see you later,” she waved and he smiled.

Nicole held her chest with her back on the door after he was gone, her heart was beating rapidly and she wondered why.

Diana noticed Romina was eating twice the usual, she was suspicious of her.

“Sick people lose appetite but you have more than enough,” Diana said and Romina knew she was talking to her.

“She hasn’t been eating properly for days, let her eat,” Elias scolded

“Good morning,” Nicole greeted as she walked into the living room. “She hardly sleeps in her house anymore,” Draco mumbled.

“You guys should go and get ready,” Elias said and they left the dining table.

“We will be in our room,” Romina stood up and greeted Nicole before heading upstairs.

“Morning,” Elias greeted and she smiled. “Morning.” She replied.

“I am leaving, don’t hesitate to punish those two,” he said and she laughed.

“Contact Neil, I want you to buy all his shares and pay twice the amount that would entice him,” Romina ordered Zoey who started the procedures immediately.

Romina paced around the room as she tried to think and prayed that Neil falls into the trap, she has lots of plans for him and by the time she is done

He will cry until tears stop coming from his eyes, she will make him regret toying with a Zaragoza.

“Done, we have the shares and our money, more like we got it without paying,” Zoey informed.

“Thanks, Zoey,” Romina appreciated, the company is now her’s again.

“Always at your service,” Zoey bowed and they laughed.

Iris couldn’t help but notice Neil smiling face, she kept stealing glances at him as he stared at his laptop.

“Did something happen?” Iris finally asked. “Huh?” He turned to look at her.

“You have been smiling for hours, did something happen?” She asked.

“Yes, I am selling the company shares, I own sixty-five percent of the shares and I sold it all,” he smiled.

“What? How are we going to defeat Romina without the company?” Iris freaked.

“Relax, the person paid twice the amount, we are rich. We will deal with Romina with that money, she will lose her company, mom, and everything possible,” he smirked.

“You are unbelievably good,” Iris smiled. “She is going to be in tears in the next few days,” he laughed d’vilishly.
