“What’s wrong?”

She shook her head negatively

“Nothing..”

“But I have my car” she said again

“I know, I just want to be the one picking and dropping you off every day” he said with a wink and she felt her heart race..

She looked away immediately

“Geez..”

“Fine” she said slowly and he smiled and k¡ssed the back of her palms

“Have a nice day” she said, gently removing her hand from his.. awkwardly and tried opening the car door but to her surprise, it was locked

She turned to him with furrowed brows

“What…?”

He laughed and pressed a button on the car and the doors unlocked immediately

She proceeded to get down

“Tara..?” He called and she turned back to him

“Huh..?”

“There’s something on your nose” he said and leaned in with the intention of removing the thread but his eyes caught her pink irresistible lip

It was very tempting on a closer look..!

He couldn’t control his self anymore, he fell for it..

“I’m sorry” he said and she was about asking what the apology was for when he gently and softly smashed his lips on hers

Her eyes widened for the first few seconds but she slowly started giving in as her heart raced faster.. and faster

She shut her eyes madly tight and slowly reciprocated to kss, it was so soft and affectionate that she wished the moment won’t end

He suddenly broke the k¡ss and her eyes flew open in shyness as they both caught their breath

He smiled watching her avoid his gaze, he raised her chin up and their eyes met, he leaned in again and pecked her nose tip..

“Good night” he said

She nodded without a word and got down quickly, her heart was beating madly fast

Dwayne watched her go in with a broad smile before finally zooming off

Alive Hospitals..

“Can I see my brother please” Cindy said to a nurse at the reception, after a minute of conversing

She arrived few minutes ago after realising no one was home

“Ohh sure, follow me” the nurse said with a smug smile and they both proceeded to Mavis ward… At the VIP section

A tear slipped from her eyes as she watched him lay lifelessly on the bed with series of things connected to his body

“God..” She breathed

“What’s the name of his illness” she said, diverting her gaze to the nurse

“Well, I’m not the nurse in charge of him but according to his medical report, he was diagnosed of leukemia, a bI.ood cancer” she said

Cindy eyes widened broadly on its own in awe

“BI.ood what..?!”

“Just take it easy, I advise you see the doctor now” the nurse said as they both left the ward

“What the h’ll are you saying, ain’t I a relation of his!” Brinkley yelled at the doctor, her baby bump visible through her gown

The young doctor sighed

“I know miss, but the head doctors request that an older family relation of his signs the paper before the surgery can commence” he replied frustratingly

Cindy was about entering the office when she heard voices which she immediately recognized as her sister’s.. she stopped to eavesdrop

“Listen to me doctor, if anything happens to him, I’ll make sure you rot in jail” Brinkley said breathlessly

“Miss…”

“Shut the fk up and treat Mavis, the father of my child must not d!e!!!” She yelled more loudly

Cindy gasped with widened eyes.. as she heard Brinkley’s words

She was shocked to the core

“Father of my…?!”

She pushed the door open immediately and without hesitation with red and teary eyes

The doctor and Brinkley immediately turned and was shocked on seeing her

Brinkley was breathing heavily, hoping she didn’t hear but that was so impossible

“Who is the…”

“Father of the child?!”
