CHAPTER 11
I wanted to ask her again but I felt Andra’s presence, so I kept quiet and stared at her, she stared back.
But in the midst of that, I could tell that whatever she is, she is peaceful and would hurt a fly.
Andra and I engaged in a conversation during the meal, but Nicky didn’t say a word. I kept glancing at her but all I could see was fear, she was Really trying so hard to hide who she is.
With the way she was behaving, I feel like she already knows I’m a lycan, but what about her, who is she?

ANDRA’S POV
I noticed that Nicky was fidgeting, I don’t understand, Nicky never fidgets in front of anybody rather she’ll be the one to make you scared of her.
What did Alex do or say to her, she’s Unusually quiet, why?
“Nicky are you OK?” I asked her in concern. But she didn’t answer, she seems lost.
“Nicky… Nicky!” I called out, she jerked up.
“Wow, chill, what’s up with you, did anyone drive a buzz-saw into your bum?” Alex asked jokingly and I laughed but Nicky didnt seem to find it funny.
“Maybe” she replied.
“Nicky tell me what the problem is” I asked her.
“I’m fine” she replied coldly.
“OK, we can talk about it later”
“I said I’m fine” she snapped.
“Jesus, girl chill, I know my bestie and she isn’t the one sitting beside me” I fired at her.
“Andi I’m fine OK” she shrugged quietly.
“Ok, if you say so” I had to let her be.

ALEX’S POV
What if this girl exposed me to Andra, then Andra will hate me and I can’t take that. I guess I should show Andra that I’m the wolf she fell in love with at her apartment, lol, she’s so funny, how can someone fall in love with a wild animal, crazy girl. But still I have to tell her.
I know it’s gonna be difficult but I have no choice, and if Andra doesn’t accept it then I’ll have to take her to the pack – I wonder what my father is planning, but whatever it is, it better be good. But at the moment, I have to protect Andra from Caspian.

ANDRA’S POV
The next day.
As we were unpacking my bags in Nicky’s apartment – cause I moved out of Bryan’s apartment that morning – I decided to ask Nicky if Alex said anything bad to her, probably anything he wasn’t supposed to say.
I mean I can’t trust him so easily, I’ve only known him for like a few days. OK, maybe I’m lying to myself, I kinda trust him even though I don’t know him that well, which is one of the reasons why I hate ‘love’. Wait! What love, who loves who? Not possible.
“Nicky are you sure Alex didn’t say anything bad to you?” I asked her.
I could swear that she stiffened at the mention of his name.
“I’ve told you Andra, he didn’t say anything hurtful to me” she stuttered.
“Then why are you scared of him?”
“I’m not scared of him” she argued.
“You are Nicky, but if you don’t want to talk about it, then no problem, I understand”
I continued hanging my clothes in the wardrobe while she unpacked them from my bag.
She saw the dress I wore to my high school graduation ceremony, she started laughing.
“The day they made this dress was the day God created clowns” she blurted out as she laughed.
OK, the bchy Nicky is back.
The dress in question was actually beautiful but of course any dress that doesn’t suit Nicky’s taste is automatically the worst dress ever.
I snatched the dress from her.
“Give me my dress, this dress is very beautiful, I don’t know why you are laughing.”
“Yeah, except that it looks like a clown suit” she said and laughed
I don’t have time for her savage right now.
And since Alex’s topic has closed and the tension seems to have cleared, I decided to ask what has been bothering me since last night.
When Alex was driving us to my ex apartment last night, I felt like someone was spying on us, I became uncomfortable, I looked at the side view mirror and saw a toyota corolla tailing us, I guess Alex noticed it too cause he increased the speed.
When he dropped us off and drove out, I looked around as I was looking for my key in my purse, I saw another corolla parked opposite the apartment. Fear gripped me when I saw it again tailing the taxi that conveyed Nicky and I to her apartment.
“Nicky did you notice the corolla car that had been following us?” I asked her.
She squeezed her face in surprise, I guess that’s a no.
“Corolla car, why will a car be following us or is he a secret admirer?” She asked and winked at me.
“Nicky be serious for once, thinking about it is scaring me”
“OK, chill girl, now why will someone be spying on us, we don’t have any bad records”
“My point exactly” I breathed out in frustration.
“Maybe you were hallucinating, but if you are not, then I would say that the so called corolla car wasn’t actually after us, maybe it was a silly coincidence” she shrugged.
“Also we need to get to work before the M.D changes his mind about ‘one minute doesn’t count flora'” she mimicked our M.D’s voice and we laughed.
We hastened up with the clothes, after that we hurriedly prepared for work.

When we got to the restaurant, as we were walking to the counter I noticed a white dude peeping at us from a corner, but I shrugged it off.
“This is 20 minutes past 8am” Diva fired at us as we wore our aprons.
“Your point is?” Nicky asked her.
“That you are late dummies, you were supposed to be here like 20 minutes ago” flora states.
“If it’s paining you, hit your head on that pillar” Nicky pointed out, crazy girl.
She had the guts to talk back only because our M.D hasn’t resumed for the day yet, if not, we will both be looking for another job by now.

We heard a bell ringing from a table, we looked around and saw that it came from the creepy white guy’s table. Flora rushed out immediately to get his order. Nicky turned to Diva.
“Hey, when your friend comes back, tell her that I said not all white dudes own a castle or a mansion, some of them are not what they portray to be. Just an advice though” she stated and turned to leave.
“Where are you going?” I asked her.
“To say hi to the kitchen”
“Wait for me” I yelled as I ran after her.
We both entered the kitchen to get some food cause we didn’t eat at home. But unfortunately for us, we were chased out like thieves by the chefs.
“Those douchebags doesn’t have any atom of respect” Nicky fumed in anger.
“They were assigned to cook for customers not for you, so why are you angry?” I asked her with an amused smile.
“Ain’t I a customer? Oh, I get it, is it because I didn’t come in a Range Rover, or because I’m not smelling like I swam in a river of sweet smelling expensive perfumes?”
I couldn’t stop laughing. She went back to the kitchen door and shouted. “Y’all are bunch of douche bags, and mind you, you are poisoning the customers with those chemicals you call food. Jeez Louise, I can’t believe I almost tasted that, ugh”
One of the cooks shouted back “don’t step your feet in here again otherwise, we will deep fry you”
“Deep fry you grand mother bches, psychiatric patients” she shouted and walked back to me. “God, I’m so hungry and that food smells so good” she complained as she rubbed her tummy.
“This is why they say, never bite the finger that feeds you. Now that you insulted them, what are we gonna do?” I asked her. “Should we go and apologize ?”
“I’d rather starve to death” she spat out.
“I’ll buy your coffin” I stated.
“And I’ll sponsor your funeral” she replied.
We walked back to the counter, immediately flora and Diva saw us, they started shooting us with their sniper eyes.
“Andra you better tell them to stop glaring at us otherwise I’ll unless my anger on them” Nicky fired.
“Come on girl, ignore them. Also let’s just have some cookies” I told her, she nodded in agreement.
