CHAPTER 15
Nicky couldn’t answer cause she was already crying. I Really want to know what this power thing is all about.
Alex later his two hands on the chain and to my greatest surprise it disappeared.
What the h*ll is going on here?
“Thanks” Nicky thanked Alex as she stretched herself.
“Maybe Next time you won’t be too stubborn to disobey me” Alex replied.
“No Mr. Man, there won’t be a next time, cause I won’t let you chain me like your dog again” Nicky fired jokingly at him, he chuckled and replied.
“We will see about that”
“OK, can someone tell me what the hell is going on?” I barked at the two of them.
Alex turned to me “Andra I’ll explain everything but first you two need to rest and eat some food. You haven’t eaten for the past three days” he stated.
Is he kidding me! I’ve been here for three days and he has the guts to tell me about rest and food.
I haven’t gone to work for three days – I mean – our M.D will sack us, and he dares to open his mouth to tell me about eating.
“Alex we want to go home. Take me home” I said to him.
“Andra I can’t, you have to stay here for now” he replied, I almost killed him with the way I was glaring at him.
“Stay here? Alex you are a wolf, and so is every other person in this place as I heard, and you expect us – two humans – to stay with you. Have you ever heard that wolves and humans walk the same path.
“No, but warewolves and human walk the same path” he chuckled out.
“To he.ll with you, just take me home” I fired at him but I felt guilty, that was too rude.
“Andi you might not wanna go home unless you wanna die” Nicky surprised me with her words.
“Nicky are you crazy, didn’t you see what just happened to you, we are not safe here” I said to her, I don’t know why I keep saying that, I mean I always feel safe anytime he’s around me.
“Neither are we safe back home” Nicky stated.
“What are you talking about?” I asked her.
“Remember Caspian from before?…”
I nodded. How can I forget such a nice guy, the way he looked at Nicky with so much passion will never clear out of my memory.
“What has he got to do with us being in the territory of werewolves?” I asked.
“Actually he has everything to do with it, he is the bad guy, he sent that brown wolf guy to kidnap and kill you while he fights Alex and prevent him from saving you” she explained.
Thats not possible, Caspian guy wanted Nicky, why will he even want me.
“Because he wants to kill you, weren’t you listening?” She asked me.

In total shock I turned to her and ask “how did you know what I was thin….”
“I’ll explain, but you can’t go back home, if Caspian sees you, he will kill you like he killed your parents”
What is she talking about.
“What are you talking about Nicky, you and I know that my family were killed by a wolf” I snapped, my heart was heaving up and down in disbelief.
“Yea, a lycan who happens to be Caspian and he wants to kill you too to wipe your family from existence” Nicky detailed.
“What, why?” I mumbled.

I know tears were already streaming down my cheeks. Why will someone hate my family so much that he wants to wipe us out of existence.
“Because, the thing that can wipe out the existence of the werewolves runs in your blood.
Alex and his family and majority of their pack wants to be humans and they need your blood to acheive that, while Caspian doesn’t want the werewolves to he humans, so he wants to destroy everything or anything that can change them and also take over the human world and wipe away the human race which is impossible but he is striving to do it, starting from you.” Nicky stated.
“How did you know all this Nicky?’ I asked with shaky voice. “Also I still don’t understand” I whistled.
“I can explain, Including how Nicky got to know” Alex said quietly, he turned to the two men he came with and asked them to leave, they left.

He sat on the bed and made me sit down as well, he spent a good 20 minutes explaining everything to me. His story shocked me but not as bad as Nicky’s.
“Nicky you… You are… You are mermaid?” I screamed out in shock.
“Kind of” she shrugged, did she just shrug as if it’s not a big deal, how dare she.
“Kind of? Did you just say kind of? We’ve been friends for… For like… Like ages and it didnt occurs to you that you should tell your best friend who you truly are?” I fired at her.
“If I had told you, would you have Still been my friend?” She asked.
Well, I’m not sure I would, I mean, be a friend to a river princess, am I stupid, who does that?
But instead, I shrugged and replied “maybe”
“Maybe? Andra you are the only friend I’ve ever had since I stepped out of the ocean, you were the first person that said hello to me the very first day I left Oceania, you even gave me your lunch even though you’ve not eaten since the day before. You showed me kindness, you showered me with love, I couldn’t tell you,I know you hate creepy things, you would have scampered away if I had told you. I’m sorry” she breathed out.
But the only thing I fixed my mind on from all that sermon she preached was ‘Oceania’, “you stepped out of Oceania. What the h*ll is Oceania?” I asked her.
“My kingdom” she smiled out.
“But your mum, what of your mum?”
“She’s not my mother. After you went home that day we met, I began to roam the street, I didn’t know where to go, I didn’t even know where I was. I was lying down under a tree when I heard her voice.
I lied to her that my parents are dead and no one wants me, so she took me and asked me to be her daughter and be calling her mum.
Well what I told her wasn’t a complete lie cause my real parents actually died but before my mother died, she gave me this amulet I always wear, she said if I wish on it, it can turn me into any being I wished for.
So after they died I left the sea cause I had nothing to live for there” she whined.

Her story was shocking yet painful, I feel really bad for her, and here I was, thinking that her life was perfect and mine wasn’t, I never knew she had her own painful past.
You never really can tell what people are going through behind their smile and toughness.
“I’m sorry Nicky” I apologized.
“It’s OK, you saved my life that day, I almost died of hunger… Human flesh is really weak” she blurted out.
“No kidding” Alex backed up, they both laughed, I rolled my eyes at them.
Nicky sighed and said “so I’m gonna return the favor by helping you and your husband in anyway that I can”
I twisted my brows at her “husband? Stop it Nicky. And back to you Alex, I’m sorry I misunderstood you” I apologized to him.
“It’s OK my princess” he smiled at me
“Scratch that, I’m not ready for that until you become a human” I whimpered, he laughed. “So the problem between you and Caspian add up to the fact that I’m gonna die, for you to extract my blood, I’ll have to die and if you mark me as your wife and I become a Lycan like you, Caspian will come after us and kill us” I asked in order to understand the situation better.
“He can’t mark you without drinking your blood…” Nicky informed.
“And if he drinks my blood without any extra ordinary power inside me, I’ll die and the chemical in my blood will kill his wolf being and he will become a human, only him” I asked.
“Yes, but he can’t drink your blood because he can’t let you die cause you are his mate, which is why his father is looking for another power that can keep you alive while they extract your blood…” Nicky explained, she really knows a lot.
“A power that is not that of the werewolves?”
“Exactly, something stronger” she replied.
I smiled and said “it all make sense now. You should have told me before and I would have come on my own instead of kidnapping me”
“Would you have accepted” they both asked in unison.
“OK, I get it, you both know me too well” I blushed and we laughed.
