Chapter 18
Nicky gasped in shock. Did she understand, because I don’t. What is that.
All eyes landed on her.
“What’s the Ancient Mirror Of Lafiti dad?” Alex asked.
“It’s not just an ordinary mirror, it’s a powerful mirror which is used to preserve life, give life to the innocent and punish the guilty blood” the alpha explained.
“Where can we find this mirror?” Alex asked.
“That’s the dangerous part”
“Where dad?”
“My aunts kingdom, MARMAIDIA” Nicky blurted out.
“In the sea?” Alex asked.
“The sea of MIAMI” Nicky replied.
“In the mermaid world, deep inside the ocean. That’s suicide mission” Alex snapped.
“We didn’t kill one of their own, they can’t kill one of our own, that’s how it’s done” The Lenny lady spat out.
“Does that mean that I can go to Mermadia and come back alive?” Alex asked.
“If you can survive without breathing under water until you get to Miami and come back” his father answered.
“That’s not possible” Penny complained.
“It is, but you have to inhale a scent made from a squashed sea fruit, if you do that, then you can breath under water for 24 hours” Nicky stated.
“Where do I get the sea fruit?” Alex asked.
“You won’t, I will go down to Oceania and get the fruit for you” Nicky offered.
I want to go too.
“Get for me too” I whined.
“No, you’ll stay back” Alex said.
“So I should sit back and wait while you risk your life for me, no way, I’m going with you” I insisted.
“You are the one risking your life for us, so we have to do anything to keep you safe” Alex argued. Is this guy not listening to my heart, I know he knows why I want to go, He’s just pretending not to know.
“What if Caspian comes here while you are away?” I asked.
“We will protect you, and besides Caspian can’t come here” his father stated.

I shook my head negatively. I want to go with them, I want to know what the mermaid world looks like.
“I want to go” I whined.
“It’s OK Alex, let her go. So Nicky you know exactly where the Mirror Of Lafiti is?” The alpha asked.
“Yes but I doubt if my aunt will let us into her kingdom” she grumbled.
“Why not, she’s you aunt” Joromy asked.
“She banned me from entering her kingdom the day I chose to go into the human world instead of ruling Oceania as the queen after my mother the queen died.
She said I was selfish, so she disowned me and banned me from entering her own kingdom, and that’s where the Mirror Of Lafiti is, I’ve seen it once a century ago” she explained.
“So you don’t think she will let us in?” Alex asked.
“She should, she has to, you are her family, I mean an African proverb said ‘a sister’s anger doesn’t get to the bone’, she must have forgotten by now” I persuaded her.
“Andra is right, maybe you should try” a blonde lady said.
“OK, when are we going?” Nicky asked.
“Tomorrow morning after breakfast” the alpha announced.
“You guys should go to bed now, you need to rest” penny stated.
“Dad there’s something else I need to know” Alex said to his father.
“What is it son”
“When Caspian ate Andra brother and father, why didn’t his wolf die?” Alex asked, they all twisted their brows in confusion, I bet they never thought of that as well.
“Wow. That’s something none of us noticed” the alpha lamented. “You know what? I’ll ask the wizard again, just go and rest” he added.

Alex shrugged he turned to Nicky and I “come on, I’ll take you back to your room”
I said to Nicky “come on great grand ma, let’s go” I stood up and held Alex and walked out.
Nicky sprang up and ran after us.
“Did you just call me great grand ma?” She asked.
“You are lucky I didn’t call you ancestor” I replied, everyone laughed from the dining.
“If I had remembered that you have such a bad mouth, I wouldn’t have let Alex tell you my real age” she complained.
“Oh, you still remember his name. I thought your memory is no longer functioning well considering the fact that you are too old to still be walking on earth” I lashed out.
Alex laughed, we were already walking down a very long hallway, I don’t think we came through this way.
“I’ll kill you with my powers when we get back to the room” she threatened.
“Alex where’s your room?” I asked him. They both laughed.
“You are such a scaredy baby” Nicky laughed out.
“That’s not true, I just want to know my “mate’s” room” I argued.
“Tell that lies to baboons” Nicky chuckled.
“Quiet old woman before your teeth falls off” I lashed at her.
Alex laughed.

When we got to the extreme of the hallway, Alex opened the door, I was expecting to enter another hallway but instead and to my surprise it was our room. So our room is so close to the courtyard but how did we walk round the whole building before getting to the courtyard when it’s just a 100 feets from the room.
“Because I wanted to show you some part of the house” Alex replied.
Some parts? All those hallways, and he called it some parts.
“I told you this house is as big as Burkingham palace” Nicky whined.
“Well this looks like it’s bigger than Burkingham” I replied.
I turned to Alex and caressed his chest a little. “I want to sleep in your room tonight” I flirted with him.
“I’ll take the risk” he replied and bit his buttom lip seductively.
It actually took my will power to slightly push him away, gush he’s so tempting.
“I was kidding naughty boy” I giggled.

I entered the room, Nicky joined me and locked the door.
“If I were you, I would have actually taken the risk” she winked at me.
I threw a pillow at her before replying “because you are as naughty as he is, let’s sleep” I whined and collapsed on the bed.
I felt her hands on me, she lifted me off the bed and set me on the only pink couch in the room, she spread herself on the bed and started faking a snore.
“Gush, Nicky the way you treat your princess which is me, Is this how they treat you in your kingdom?” I asked her but she ignored me.
I stood up from the couch, I walked to the bed and collapsed ontop of her, she screamed but I ignored her and faked a snore as well.
Two can play the game.
