But suddenly something struck my mind. If the chemical in the blood of my family can kill the wolf side of werewolves, how come Caspian did not die when he ate my brother and my dad.
I was about to ask that when they both turned to me in shock, I guess they read my mind.
“I never really thought of that” Alex stated. “I’ll ask my dad about it” he added.
“OK, but is it possible if we can go to work today so that the MD won’t sack us, I promise we will come back” I asked him.
He scratched his head a little with an amused smile. “Umh…. Andra it’s not possible”
“Why not?” I asked.
“Cause we are not in Nigeria.. We are in California” Nicky blurted out, I lost my mind.
“What!!!” I screamed at the top of my voice. “Wait… Seriously… Whaaaaat!!?” I screamed again. I mean what in the world.
“Calm down girl, you are shouting too much” she snapped at me.
“Shouting too Much? Do I need to remind you that we don’t have international passports, no visa, nothing. And Alex how in the work did we pass the airport and into the plane without passport?”
“You didn’t” he chuckled.
“Excuse you, I don’t understand”
“We came in his jet” Nicky said.
“Private jet or not, we still needed passort” I fired at them.
“They only check passports of people they see…. We went stealth… Alex show her” she stated.

I looked at where Alex was sitting but he wasn’t there, I hovered my hand around there and I felt his face which means he was still there but I can’t see him.
This is amazing and awesome. I never knew werewolves have the power of invisibility.
“Only the demi gods has it” Nicky stated.
“Wow, you really do have powers” I mumbled.
He appeared again and ask “so are you gonna help us”
“It’s not like I have a choice” I muttered.
“You do” he whispered.
“Not when it has to do with love, you love someone, you have to sacrifice for that someone” I can’t believe I just said that.
Alex smiled as he stared at me, I stared back. Then I heard my crazy friend coughing and ruining the moment I never wanted to end.
“Sorry, I’m allergic to hunger, I’m really hungry and it’s not good for me” she coughed again as she stared at us with the corner of her eyes, I had to fight the urge of throwing a pillow at her.
“You girls should take a shower, the bathroom is that door and the closet is the other one.
When you are done, there’s an intercom by the door, just press the green button, someone will answer” Alex instructed.

He stood up, as he was walking to the door, I saw that ‘I Devour’ sign at the back of his jacket, I wanted to call him back and ask him but he turned before I could open my mouth.
“I just like to warn people of who I am” he answered.
I smiled a little. It didnt surprise me, it will no longer surprise me that they know everything I’m thinking. He smiled back and left. Nicky coughed again.
“Stupid girl” I cursed under my breath jokingly.
“I told you, it’s my allergy” she laughed out.
She stood up and walked to the bathroom door.
‘You want to bath before your princess” I asked her with my hands akimbo.
“I’m also a princess in my own kingdom” she snapped.
“This is my husband’s house, his kingdom, so you have no right to do anything before Me” I fired at her.
“You can join me, after all, we are both women, also, I could remove my amulet and show you my sea blue tail” she winked at me.
I would want to see her tail. Although seeing my friend in another form is scary but I’ll take the risk.
“That sounds like fun” I smiled at her.
“Eating you sounds like fun” she said with a serious tone.
“Although that sounds scary but I’ve never seen a mermaid eat a human in any movie” I chuckled out.
“Those are movies, this is reality” she whispered huskily.
“You are scaring me Nicky” I whined.
She laughed and dragged me to the bathroom “get in here scaredy baby”
We spent almost thirty minutes in the bathroom cause I couldn’t stop playing with her tail, it’s so blue and beautiful and she couldn’t stop laughing – she seems to have missed it so much.

After bathing, we entered the closet and spent about 15 minutes there, fighting over the only two dresses in the wardrobe.
Nicky wanted the pink one, I took the blue one but after wearing it, she pulled it off and asked me to give her the blue one cause her tail is blue. What sort of human-maid is this.
“But Nicky you are wearing your amulet, so there’s no tail” I asked her.
“But the tail is inside me, give me the dress” she whined.
“Nicky stop, we are gonna be late for dinner and that’s rude and disrespect to the king, also, I thought you said you are so hungry?” I tried to stop her.
But she didnt stop until I gave up, I pulled off the blue dress and gave it to her. As we were applying some makeup at the makeup table, the door opened and Alex walked in.
“How can I forget that I’m dealing with women, they can’t go anywhere without makeup” he chuckled.
Nicky threw a brush at him, he laughed. “The dinning is just by the courtyard” he stated.
I gasped and asked “oh my gosh, you have a courtyard?”
“This house is as big as Burkinham palace” Nicky informed, Alex chuckled.
“We are ready” I said to him.
He offered me his elbow, I slipped my hand into it, he opened the door and we walked into the longest and largest hallway I’ve ever seen in my entire boring life.
